Headcanon: All of the purgatory teams were given earpieces for communication at the start of it, and the reason why Slime was able to listen in on the other teams conversations is because he was doing code stuff <3 (missa got into red teams comms by just the sheer force of wanting to tell philza minecraft he loves him)

The thing that gets me is that Phil is a survivalist, right?? At his CORE. That stupid bird (affectionate) is hardwired to keep himself alive at all costs. You don’t play Hardcore for ten-plus years and only die once (season 1 was a hard drive crash and season 3 was a glitch) and not be honed to a knife’s edge on the art of keeping yourself alive and safe.

And we even see that in how he treats the eggs, particularly Chayanne!! I remember seeing a clip of him warning Chayanne of ravines— something he stresses in his hardcore game!! And there are THOUSANDS of posts on this site talking about how Philza is built to survive, down to his fucking code/dna/whatever term you want to use

And yet

The second he sees that there’s a chance, a chance to find his kids again? He throws it all away. He even SAYS “this is so dangerous” AND IT IS!!! He’s going off into the unknown, with nothing but some noodles and a water bucket, because of a book with a little story in it.

There was the slightest chance he could find his eggs again, potentially at the cost of his own life, and he immediately takes it. No hesitation. And he pays the price.

God it fucks me up. Phil would do anything for these fucking eggs, up to and including dying for them.

Up to and including potentially throwing himself on a sword for them.

Because what’s the point of surviving if the reason you’re living is gone?

Juanaflippa didn't live for long but I would've loved to see her interact with the other eggs (especially ones that came after her death like pomme and richarlyson) I think her admin once said that if she lived she would've acted just as insane as her parents so it's really fun to think about how her relationship would've been with eggs like chayanne or pomme

also if she and tilin lived they would have been besties forever. they shot cucurucho and beat the shit out if the code monster together <33 (eggboss and girlboss moment. god had to separate them because they were simply too powerful)

;_; <3 I keep thinking how each egg has a particular interest and headcanon JuanaFlippa’s would’ve been things like gymnastics or parkour like her dad. She’s dramatic and insane like her parents but in the way she keeps doing dangerous stunts (like the bucket clutch in the earlier days). She has some kind of hero complex because she’s survived the horrors of both heaven and hell and WILL theatrically put her life on the line for her loved ones because she’ll just come back to life. hc she died bc she was trying to protect her mom from the hoard (she was between them in the clip) but was killed in the crossfire

Also obsessed with the idea of JuanaFlippa having beef with Chayanne bc she shot Philza that one time and they spar a lot leading to her essentially being above average at pvp bc her parents suck and at least SOMEONE needs to hold the fort — but above all she is kind and heroic with so much love to give ^_^

I‘ve seen a couple of people draw qEtoiles with a tail and I am SO NORMAL ABOUT THAT

Usually for most characters I headcanon to have a tail it serves either for balance and / or combat purposes. On occasion I headcanon Phil with some kind of tail, because I‘ve seen people do that and I am so normal about it (lie), usually a long fluffy tail that he uses for various things ( attaching lil bags on them to carry things, balancing his perching and flight, etc. ) just because I love fluffy tails that you can wrap around your fellow friends <33 KAJAJ

With Etoiles I think it‘d have no direct purpose like above and it is just an appearance thing, but I love it either way

If Etoiles doesn‘t see Phil at least every few days, especially in my Code au after everything that’s been happening there, then by the time they do interact again he just instinctively wraps his tail around one of Phils arms because. You sir. Where the fuck have you been AJAKJA

It‘d be funny if Etoiles doesn’t even notice it himself sometimes, it just happens and Phil gets used to it eventually that he just tags along with Etoiles & follows him around

for those of y'all who can't watch rn (love you to death), here's what happened in broad generalities:

the online players + richas, tallulah, chayanne, dapper, and ramon were all at favela celebrating richarlyson's birthday

the code monster appeared

ninho was triggered and all eggs tp'd out

the sky changed (just to show you how FAST they reacted)

the code monster floated there, not attacking, for a few minutes (in creative mode)

the code monster flew to ninho (the egg hotel)

the code monster flew around ninho, looking in windows and taking pictures

the code monster broke a pane in leo's window, but did not enter (leo's bed is fine)

bad lasso'd the code monster and dragged it away

the code monster went invisible a few times but remained on the lasso

the code monster dropped apples, as well as a few pictures (our assumption is it's from having a full inventory)

the code monster vanished

all eggs survived; no lives lost, no players killed

Thinking about how Etoiles told BBH he was the 2nd person to know about the code sword. I'm pretty sure he just wanted to make it sound cool, like "...you and Philza are the only people I trust with my entire life in this island" but the reality is that there's 3 people total who know about the code sword. Tubbo is the third.

Tubbo, the gremlin child, who he has only spoken to like 3 times and they always end up arguing about the piss incident in Paris. I just find this hilarious because RP/lore-wise Tubbo's been trusted with life-or-death information for no reason & he lives completely unbothered by this lmfao

Phil: i mean it's cuz we've like experienced some kind of loss with the eggs, right? so, we've had the nightmare, alright. Chayanne lost a life to neglect cuz of misscommunication. Tallulah, you lost a life to the code monster...

Phil: Like we've felt what it's like to have you guys dissappear from our grasp, right? you've like- you've dissapeared from this world briefly, and we know what it's like. Like i-i've personally know what it's like, for you guys to fucking dissapear entirely like, the nightmare happened and i thought that was it, i was like "fuck well, it's done" and i felt so empty, right?

Phil: I-I genuenly felt like i lost a hardcore world, like- the 5 year world that i lost? that's what it felt like, i was like fucking miserable. And then bad uh- lost dapper like- like in a weird glitch type thing, and that got reverted. But when it happened, you can hear it in his voice like, he was distraught like- theres like a bond that we share even if is playing block game, you know?

Phil: we're just hanging out like, i wanna protect you guys with everything i can. everything i have i wanna protect you with, you know? but... i understand that i can't protect you for everything, so i just try to protect you from that i can, so... (and ooc out-of-character, i think everyone watching is incredibly invested also -laughs-, we're in the same boat)

Tallulah: It's understandable, thanks for sharing how u feel with us i'll be more careful

Phil: that's okay, you- you- you're very careful already tallulah, it's chayanne that fucking dives head first into danger all the time. He's- he's a bit more reserved now, you can do that chayanne when like theres more people, its fine, cuz then we can look after you, we can back you up. But when its just me and you, or me, you and tallulah.... we gotta- we gotta stick together, alright? we've seen all kinds of strange things happen

Phil: You know what i think makes it more stressful? Is that us players can't see your health, right? So like, we don't iknow how close you are to danger, we can't- you can't talk to us mid fight, alright? like, you talk to us throught signs and books and stuff but like, we have to go through body language alone to figure out how in danger you are... You can't tell us, you dont have like a button to press, you don't have- there's like nothing to indicate that you're extremely low on health or in peril, alright?

Phil: So it makes it more stressful for the players and the people watching cuz we dont know, so i have to just be super fucking careful... And just treat it like you're on like barely any heart all the time, just in case

Phil: I feel like there's enough counter-measures in place that- realistically um it shouldnt be- nothing bad would happen like- you souldn't lose a life but.. You know me, and I- you know how im- I just I know that multiple bad things can stack on top of eachother and cause a really bad thing to happen, so like we have to be just careful of that, you know? You can be prepared for anything but there's always gonna be ways that you'll be unprepared for something, alright Phil: so- as long as we just prepare as much as we can and just be extra safe and not put ourselves in unnecessary danger then.. These situations that could happen can't happen. The only thing we can't prevent against really, or we can prevent it a little bit- but we can't really prevent it is when the code monster decides to take the life from an egg cuz.. You've seen it first hand, it does not give up

ive never used this before but qsmp is pulling apart my skull and throwing my brain around rn.

q!phil has overcome all my waking moments and i need everyone to hear. this guy is so paranoid yet gets into every situation. hes like paranoid in the opposite way that bad is. bad prepares for every possibly situation and makes sure he has every item for it while phil just ensures he never faces bad situations.

its so obvious in how he like scuffs the tasks to stay in familiar areas. chay and tallulah spend like 70% of their time awake in 3 areas: the wall (bunker), the fishing spot and spawn. in the downtime where the code stopped attacking, they got a lil more freedom (also cause phil wasnt there) but i fear we may get more recluse phil due to the return of the code.

also similarly, its rlly interesting to see q!phils acceptance and familiarity with isolation. assuming his hardcore world is canon to qsmp that would be an easy explanation. but its so bittersweet how phil always waits. q!missa has been gone for so long but phil makes sure chay doesn't hild any grudges about it and he keeps the amour stand waiting. q!wil might not be able to come back but phil still holds hope and comforts lulah with it.

their house is so full of love too. wilbur and phil yanked at my heart by keeping the signs up. chayannes sign sayin "a pretty garden for a pretty girl <3" will never fail to make me smile. MY COTTAGE CORE SLICE OF LIFE FAMILY FR!

★ Etoiles - Got along really well and was a really good rival. Was more cautious when the code stuff appeared on Etoiles' arm but overall, q!Bad finds him as a nice guy. Plus, one of Pomme's parents

★ Missa - He really liked Missa and got along with him! Never felt like he had a bad experience with him. Bad viewed their last moment and overall interactions as playful!

★ Rubius - Mostly interacted with the angel version. q!Bad was really worried about him due to being powerful but he did give Dapper some nice stuff

"Like can you be mad at a baby for doing stupid baby stuff?". And Nacho didn't make his kids miserable, only ever did annoying little things towards Bad
