Contractor Management Systems: It's More Than Being Compliant
Contractor Management Systems are important because they make third-party workers adhere to an organization's compliance, safety, and business requirements. Without an effective system, contractor documentation, training, and access are labor-intensive and extremely prone to errors, which increases the likelihood of safety accidents and compliance with the law. A Contractor Management Services organizes and simplifies these tasks, with immediate visibility, enhanced accountability, and enabling organizations to have a secure, efficient, and compliant place to work—particularly in high-risk sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and energy.

i have been spending so much time adulting lately AND i just remembered i still haven't even done my taxes UGHHHHHH i am so tired. going to watch the two hours of kim's convenience scheduled on pluto every weeknight and edit some crosswords during the commercials.
#no time to watch cql today i spent all day 1) working 2) doing laundry and 3) trying to figure out how to avoid getting poisoned#with asbestos given i am a renter and have absolutely no control over what is done to my apartment#backstory is that my bathroom floor has been rotting for the past nine years and no one has done anything about it#but we got a new property manager recently and i brought it up with him and he has been SUPER on it. which is great!#except that i brought up the concept of asbestos today when the contractors were here to give a quote#and they all acted like it hadn't occurred to them before?? even though this building is 100 years old????#so that was a bad sign. then the guy told me his company were the ones who did the siding work last year#which means they're the ones i overheard saying outside my window 'YOU know there's lead in the paint. and I know there's#lead in the paint. but we're not gonna remove all of it' or whatever. great sign#and then i gave the name of the company to my friend who knows all about this shit and she looked it up and they don't have a license#for asbestos abatement...#so i'm getting really nervous#spent a bunch of time on the phone with my renter's insurance company to see if they could help me be proactive about it#by somehow idk putting pressure on my property management company to do it correctly? but they can't#AND i discovered. they can't even tell me what my policy covers. unless i submit a claim. and the claims adjusters won't even talk to me#unless there's damage to my belongings. and there ISN'T damage to my belongings NOW. i want to PREVENT it#ANyway. it's been this kind of shit and me trying to figure out if i can move AND trying to avoid the like 5 different ways i could be#laid off etc etc it's been a fun time AND I STILL HAVEN'T DONE MY TAXES!!!!!

building manager forgets to tell everyone that contractors are coming into every room to check the lights this morning. we have to call her when they show up and determine this. good thing I’m awake and have 2 minutes warning to put on fucking pants. contractor comes into my room having literally just smoked a cig, my lungs are already having trouble with allergies and now the secondhand smoke is making me baby-wheeze, which is making me nauseous because aside from asthma all this is STILL AN HOUR AFTER I WOKE UP AND I NEED TO EAT (not contractors fault because this happened since I DDIRNT FUCJING KNOW). it would’ve been nice to have had more than 2 minutes warning idk!!!!!!!
#where is my fucking pulmicort. I need my inhalers fuck you#building managers such a smart ass too she’s always ragging on previous ones for ‘never being around when contractors come’ you are literal#Ina. Different prefecture. And did not tell anyone. Half the people are asleep

How tall are you?
I stand approximately 430.11 cm, a little over 468cm if I were to make my lure stand straight up, but that hardly counts as any significant part of my body. In feet that would make me about... 14'1"... I think.
Yes. I have to duck under most doors. That's why a lot of my work is carried out outdoors. No door frames out here for my forehead to worry about, that's for shore.
#deep diver#toontown#toonblr#toontown corporate clash#ttcc#yes... i hc her very very tall... taller than dave and chip thats for shore.#the top 3 tallest kudos managers in my book would be like... chip<dave<mary#tho if we bring taskline managers into this itd be like. alton<chip<buck<dave<mary#BUT if we bring contractors into this then itd be alton<chip<buck<dave<erfit<mary#why? any teason behind these? no. just vibes#tho the difference between these guys would be mere centimeters

Good news: after a lot of weeks, my air conditioner is fixed!! Also good news: I caught an error in the software at work that was impacting both contractor pay and customer invoicing! Bad news: going through large amounts of data loosely falls under the purview of the department I am now sort of in charge of, which meant my department (which is me and two other people) had to individually open every single order from [specific subset of customers] since the beginning of the year to manually check if either error had occurred. Hundreds of orders, even with a few different criteria we could use to narrow it down. It's done though! I mean the error is not fixed but previous instances of it causing problems are caught and now that we know it exists we can catch future problems before they are invoiced/paid out I have done zero crafting today and I honestly doubt I will get any done lol
#the person behind the yarn#tj talks about work#I am sort of in charge of a department now?#that department is basically data entry/admin#in that my previous job title used to handle contractors and contractor paperwork#but they were not doing as much scheduling because so much time was spent on paperwork#so as a trial run they had me take over doing all the paperwork for two other [job title] as well as my own#which is not hard for me. I've been processing this exact kind of paperwork at one job or another for over a decade#and that helped a lot so they switched things around gave me less contractors#and hired two more people to handle paperwork and a few other data crunch-y office tasks#and I trained them both? and have the ability to assign them tasks and declare things to be part of my department's job#so I am sort of de facto the head of our little department#which is very funny to me because in my previous job a few years back I was the head of the bookkeeping department#because the entire department was me#it was a difficult department to keep on task but I managed lol#more seriously the two people with me in the paperwork department now are absolutely great#they are super nice and we work really well together#we had a conference call between the three of us with a screenshare while I figured out how to fix one of their IT problems#unrelated to the other problem I caught later in the day

it's been 2 weeks since the fire and we only just got gas service back. i just had my first hot shower in 2 fucking weeks omg i could cry with joy
these last few weeks have been a fucking nightmare. i should've been studying for my promotional exam at work but between the fire and the election and my boss being out on medical leave for over a month my nerves are so fried. i really don't know how i'm gonna pass this test
#fdny negligence nearly caused a gas explosion#gas company dicked us around for days and refused to make any notes in our file so every time a tenant or the landlord or management compan#called they acted like they had no idea what was going on and gave everyone a different answer#the live-in contractor tried to circumvent the safety inspection which could've killed everyone in the building since they did eventually#find TWO GAS LEAKS#and the management company was shit at keeping tenants aware of what was going on#otherwise we would've known days earlier how badly fdny fucked up the gas while we pestered them with emails#fuck all of them#personal

Mary, is very sweet yet protective i can tell she careseth about the cogs and her boardbot employees
(we aint gonna talk about buck because its gonna be VERY confusing to yall about my HR headcanon lol, unless ya really wanna know then ya know what to do)
(same goes to dave)
Brian...oh dont even start...i fucketh hate him..yea he knows a lot about stuff but...he's strict and egotistic and i honestly want flint to light him on fireth...wait thats a good idea..thats going into my show idea book!
Misty, honestly i love her..platonically she's so sensitive but she's such a sweetheart i feel bad for what happened with her..and now she probably has some built up trauma...with her and bessie..

ah yes..both of the directors of public relations and land acquisition, i mean technically their still here their just managers and not contractors anymoreth so i still get to hang out with em even if their just managers
now for what all of you have been waiting for..my opinioneth on the 'higher ups'!!
Allan is a cool guy, i know he takes pride in his work but other than that he's a chilleth guy i like em he's just like..he makes the sellbots have it easy ya know and i like that..i'd rather see cogs enjoy their work than seeing them stressed and suffer during their work ya know?
Chris is uh..a greedy son of a bitcheth the truth had to be said sorry, but ya are a greedy son of a bitch, Chris..however he is the one that manages the money sooo, he's a greedy son of a bitcheth but he's useful..so i'll deal with it i suppose..
..Diane..me and Diane do not mix well..now i try not to fucketh with the law but...she's strict as hell..i dont really vibe with her..now if i were to go to court i would win, if i were to go to jail i would escapeth...im not saying jack on how thougheth...
