I don't usually do this, but I decided to live tweet my watch through of Gen:Lock.

Let's see if this shit show was worth all the workplace abuse and fucking over of the Nomad of Nowhere.

Spoilers: I believe the answer is gonna be no.

Okay. Starting out and this is more of a small thing, but I've gotten really sick of Sci fi settings that always like showing off how super advanced they are by showing technology that does not look like it'd be used.

Like Dave and his girlfriend decided to take leave to visit his mom with……some kind of physical hologram?

Why? Why do this instead of just physically going there?

My nitpicking aside. This opener is actually really solid, establishing this mysterious threat that I totally didn't spoil myself on and making the main hero look likable.

"How did it get so close?!" Lady. If nome of you noticed that thing, ya'll would have fallen apart even if this Union thing wasn't around.

Okay, this opening episode was actually pretty good.

And….wooow that Theme Song does not match this kind of show. It's apparently a licensed song, which is just baffling to me.

They forced people from their other projects to rush their work on this show, they had a moral line not to force a rush job from Jeff and Casey Williams?

I mean, I'm happy for them not being forced to crunch out or anything, I just find it funny that's where they draw the line.

I like that Chase is actually taking all of this very well.

It's actually quite nice.

Also, I do believe that people should grieve however they can……but Miranda is kind of an asshole. At least the lady in MoU said 'good to say ya again'

I actually really love Weller. He is just so casual about everything and I love it.

I'm actually getting into this show. It is a bit slow though, ESPECIALLY for an 8 episode season.

"Making soldiers out of children!" Lady. These are grown ass adults. We're these guys meant to be like teenagers originally?

Weller's speech about "making a difference" is actually quite nice.

I'm already halfway through S1 and while it's been slow going, I'm actually really enjoying myself so far.

Hey. They're saying the RWBY thing.

This Nemesis thing is actually pretty cool.

And the action is actually pretty solid.

Being in a digital space where you control the mech and can affect the mind and personality of the mech pilot is actually a very interesting concept.

I'm sure somewhere this idea was done before, but this is an interesting concept.

The Chase clone twist is actually very compelling.

"Your Deus Ex Machina!"

That's actually a very clever double meaning with the phrase, kudos.

It took us til the end of the season, but we finally got the genlocks in their promoted designs.

The designs do clash with the shows visual aesthetic, but they are actually cool.

Okay. Overall, this first season was actually pretty good.

I'll be watching the second season tommorow, since it's like 10:00 where I live and i have a cavity filling tommorow.

So if what I heard about Season 2 is true, ill be in for a double whammy of pain.

Got a cavity filling and I can't feel the left side of my mouth.

Sounds like the perfect condition to watch Gen:Lock S2. I might be out of it, so maybe there won't be much live tweeting.

Hopefully, people were just overexaggerating how bad it is and it's just okay at worst.

Though I doubt it given what I've heard.

Okay this theme song matches the show better……but honestly this one just sucks.

i was just as moved by ellen and thomas as the next guy but it drives me crazy seeing the number of people who are vehemently against the idea that she could also be into orlok as well when the cast and the director have all shared that there’s mutual yearning between them

my current designs for the main cast of episode 5 (i uncovered minecraft's greatest secret) + ken and wato because kww is awesome.. ken and wato are probably the ones who helped spoke set up the treasure hunt anyway so it's okay they're allowed to be in the lineup.

tbh i've only done characters from episode 5 because it's my favourite episode + a fun plot to rewrite into a high school setting. i'd add more (namely mane and flame) if i were to actually continue to make a story with this au..

me thinks unstable high deserves to have a uniform rather than just a dress code of some sort.. no real reason besides aesthetics LMAOOOO, i guess unstable high is a private school??. rules are loose enough for self expression but like it's still a requirement.

i more or less have the story outlined btw!! my attempts at rewriting the biggest secret episode in a high school setting is kindaaa working?.. my biggest issue atm is deciding whether if i want to write a fanfic or draw a comic..... i love drawing these and their fun designs guys but holy crap comics are so much work, but i've also never really written a fic before ;; oh well i'll figure it out at some point.

Don't Tell My Wife / DTMW (Game, Horror VN) Status: Active Development

DTMW is my entry for SuNoFes2024 on Itchio! Folks may actually recognize this one as I streamed some concept art a while back, and even posted some as well!

This game focuses on a Husband and Wife in the woods. Specifically, the Husband and something he's been trying to plan for a while. Now there's only one week left and his Wife has taken notice.

Treacherous Flesh (Game, RPGMaker Horror) Status: Research & Writing

TF follows the story of Ila, a woman who contracts a deadly illness and must wait 8 months for treatment. The game follows her over that time as her symptoms worsen, and her body turns against her.

Like many of my projects, TF pulls from a personal feeling. This game is an outlet for my own ongoing health problems. I started working on this game after being told I had to wait 8 months for an ultrasound I need for diagnosis. It's month 4 of 8 now.

Probably the most outright depressing thing I'm working on, this game actually means a lot to me. This is an outlet, but I'm also hoping it resonates with people who may be going through what I am.

Computer Angel (Game, Point & Click/Interactive Fiction, Horror) Status: Concept Development

Computer Angel comes from my own fascination with the concept of "angels speaking to you through your screens" and such, whether for horror or comfort.

In CA, your aunt has just passed away suddenly and you end up with her computer. As you investigate the machine to use for yourself, you realize there's something in the computer. Something that would very much like to make your acquaintance.

With 3 narrative paths depending on your choices, I want CA to be a spooky and surreal little game! While the concept has been fleshed out, this one is on the back burner until I dedicate myself to learning GameMaker which is the engine I want to use.

Pop-Rock & Curly (Game, Point & Click) Status: Research & Writing

A brainchild of mine from 2019, where I said to myself "What if I made a detective/robber OCs but they're lesbians?" and then PR & C just. existed in my brain?

After just having them rattling around in my brain but never drawing them more than once, I decided to adapt them into a game! I've always had a love of P&C games, so it only makes sense I take a stab at one (Art from 2019)

The game follows detective Pop-Rock, who is personally requested by Curly to help as she rats out her no good boyfriend who has stolen a big flashy item. Using this as a chance to improve her reputation, PR ventures into the cities criminal underworld.

Juno Law (Game, VN) Status: Pre-Dev Done, Art Concepts Started

Juno is what I'd call my first "modern" game idea, the first game idea I can pinpoint where looking at it I could go "Wait this could actually be a game!" Basically a "what if I made an PWAA game" type deal

We got lawyers, punny names, gimmicky designs, and more! While not what I would call a fangame, Juno is meant to be my love letter to Ace Attorney that I started cooking up after playing the main 6 games. I actually was pursuing this as my first game!

Juno is a LARGE game. The biggest of anything even on this list in scale. Because of that, I've had it on the back burner since I finished the full game notes back a few years ago. The game is completely outlined! All characters, trials, plot lines, all of it!

I'm really passionate about Juno, but I knew I had to be honest with myself; This is just too much for my first game! My weakest skill, in my opinion, is my writing. So, starting out with massive narrative VN? Maybe not, haha. Someday though, I want to make it.

7. Cleopocha (Game, ???) Status: Concept Development

Cleopocha is about an android idol named Chapel, who starts dreaming of their past personas. It's a game largely about identity and asking what do we own those who came before us, especially when we don't remember them?

My current sticking point with Cleopocha is actually genre! The story I want to tell needs breathing room in a way a VN can't provide, but I'm unsure if an RPGMaker type game is quite right. What should the gameplay even be? Those kinda questions 🤔

A2amB (Podcast, Liminal Space Horror) Status: Research & Writing

I've had this fascination with doing some kind of story based podcast as far back as 2019, where the title A2amB comes from! The name is a placeholder from the idea I had way back then. (Art from 2019)

The story now is WAY different than the first concept. Salvaging characters and concepts from a MOTW campaign I was running, the podcast is now about a liminal space mall and the people stuck within it. (Art from Aug 2023)

Casey Day, local computer repairmen and burnout, gets dragged into the liminal mall and is stuck fumbling around trying to get out again. Besides twisting halls, a mannequin cult, and unpleasant personalities - Casey will also be haunted by his own issues.

I've been on a steady dev pace with A2amB, but I'm still figuring out what I want from the story, as well as how I want to deliver it. So currently I'm just locking down the pacing and themes in a way I find satisfying. I'll probably have to trim a lot of ideas..

Harry gets cursed and his mind breaks

Anyone ever watch yugioh? Remember that duel btw Yami Malek and Mai, and when she lost she got stuck in the sand thing and watched all her friends hang out without her and none of them even remembered her and it was torture for her?

That but Harry except he is in a transparent cupboard and he watches everyone else around him get to experience the love and family he never got. They might make an off handed "oh he's fine" at first but then they never mention him again.

Harry screams and pounds on the door but they don't see him or care to think about him. Harry is breaking by the second until he curls up in a ball and puts his hands over his ears because he doesn't want to hear how happy they were anymore.

He doesn't want to know how peaceful his friends lives are without him. love hurts and its KILLING Him. Meanwhile, Harry is in grimmauld place staring off into the distance while everyone is freaking out trying to undo the curse Harry got from touching one of the

weird dark objects they were supposed to be throwing away. His magic is thrashing in reaction to his inner turmoil. Things are breaking, class is shattering, and ron got thrown clear across the room at one point.

When Harry finally breaks and begs for death or silence, it finally stops. He is in darkness in his own little cupboard in his mind and in the real world his eyes have no light. His soul is stuck and there is nothing anyone can do.

They take care of him as best they can, but Harry is practically a living puppet. He does what he is told and nothing more. Until, in Harry's darkness, he hears someone calling to him. Saying his name over and over like a long lost friend.

The locket is knocking on his cupboard door and Harry think's it is another prank. No. Tom Riddle is pounding, begging, pleading for Harry to let him in. He is trapped too and he hates the dark. Please don't let me be alone at least we can be trapped together

Harry denies and hides and tries to block him out but his heart is too big and it hurts too much. Finally Harry is able to open the door and as soon as he does he finds himself in the real world with the locket suddenly cold in his hand. He gasps as he regains consciousness

and cries once he sees his friends again. The love him, of course they ove him. They are so sorry that he ever had to experience something like that. Harry will never have to be alone again. Harry knows its true with or without him. He can feel tom in the back of his mindholding him tight thankful that he never has to be alone again either.

Remember how The Last of Us 2 is inspired by the Israel-Palestine conflict, and it ultimately boils down to 'there's two sides to every conflict'.

It's very insidious given the truth of the source conflict, which is finally really getting out there.

Attributing all the 'bad things' people do due to 'trauma' and divorcing Israel from it's history of colonisation, so they can be placed as equals....

If Druckmann just said he wanted to do a story about revenge, then we could have just left it there.But it's not. It comes from him being mad about Israeli soldiers, occupiers, being lynched on the west bank.

Then he wished he could kill all the people who cheered about the death of the oppressors, and felt a bit bad about wishing death on everyone. He looked at an extremely lopsided conflict, from a position of safety and privilege and wrote a story where both sides were just as evil and justified as each other.

As if Israel hadn't invaded and slaughtered.

It's....sure something.

Major update on Nour’s condition

First, I want to thank you all so much for your incredible generosity. Because of you, we were able to raise $4,000 USD in just 2 full days. I cannot put into words how remarkable this is. When we received word of the refund, that we lost more than $3000, Nour’s family and I were completely without hope. But you all accomplished the impossible.

It is only because of what you accomplished that I now believe we can meet our next goal.

Nour was able to undergo surgery. It was long and extremely difficult for the doctors. The surgery was ultimately successful. However, Nour’s condition is not resolved. The immediate danger has been met, but now Nour requires a new medication and diet to survive.

This medication will cost $2000 USD every week. Her new diet requires she consume 2 eggs a day, so 14 every week. As of right now, the average cost of eggs in Gaza is $8 USD. 2000 + (14 x 8) = $2,112 USD a week

also this morning i had the weirdest "dream."

so sometimes when im not quite asleep, but almost asleep i'll have like a pair of eyes overlayed mine and they are staring back at me. they fade in and out as im waking up. im also able to move and speak so its not sleep paralysis, but i am awake.

This time tho along with the eyes i had another image overlayed of kinda like a plague doctor? it had a mask but instead of birdlike it was more dog/dinosaur like with a long snout pointing downward. the mask was either brown or with a slight green tint. He had a red medieval looking outfit. like i had the eyes and then this image was also slowly fading in. so like the eyes were 100% opacity while the plague doctor was 50-75%. as i woke up more the plague doctor vanished while the eyes remained and would start to fade in and out.

it felt kinda like a video game like i was loading into a new world/level or something was trying to possess me lmao. it also happened again but with a western looking cowboy black and white image, but the cowboys eyes were shadows. also the overlayed eyes weren't there or really faint, but my ceiling was starting to pool with red light and there was like a dark mist/shadow(?) thing, but it disappeared once i was fully awake.

also, not dream, but weird something knocked over my fan and unplugged it from the wall. like both lily and i were in bed and nothing else was moving. it wasn't rocking or i accidentally kicked it or whatever. also i have like loose plugs, but every other time it fell it still stayed plugged in and like was like 2-3 nights ago.

weird slightly paranormal experiences i dont think was getting possessed for real or anything, but weeeeeird.

Edit: I think I know what it is. I think it's phosphenes and then my brain is recognizing the shapes and colors as eyes or cowboys lmao I get them almost always when I close my eyes or get super sleepy and feel my body getting heavy which (I knew already) explains the "possession" or "transporting to a new world" feel and like I've seen faces before and shit before, but with the stress of work, changing my sleep schedule, bad sleep, and so on I was a lil too much when I first work up lol

everytime someone, usually white, talks about the IOF using major US cultural events as "distractions" to commit more genocidal operations in Palestine, I want to SCREAM. The assumption that the IOF is hanging on the us's every fart to make their moves is US centrism, narcissism at global proportions. the IOF don't need "distractions" they've been murdering, torturing and displacing Palestinians and other Arabs for almost a century with impunity because they KNOW they can get away with it. Not to mention, it plays into anti-jewish conspiracies of Jewish world domination by insulating connections between major events that are often unconnected. It's okay that you feel scared and confused and overwhelmed, but stop pretending the IOF even cares about Palestinians and Arabs enough to wait for the world to be distracted to kill us. twin pack Sunny is one of my fav RH dolls, but she's mostly just sat on my shelf since I got her since I was too afraid of messing her hair up. been meaning to do it for a while but I finally restyled her hair! some of it was already kinda messy out of box so I felt a bit better abt restyling it.

I let her hair soak for a while, brushed it out, then braided it. I'm not great at styling doll hair, but I've done this style on a pony before and wanted to try it on a doll. it actually came out cuter than I thought!

she looks kinda weird without her barrettes but I'm kinda apprehensive abt putting them on and accidentally snagging a piece of her hair lmao. maybe I should've done that before I styled her hair... oops! there's still flyaway hairs here and there which does bug me, but I'm reminding myself that her factory hair was also kinda messed up and that this is much more manageable for me since it's not covered in gel.

overall I'm happy with how her hair turned out! now I don't have to worry abt messing up her factory style or dealing with all that gel anymore.

BOYCOTT EUROVISION FOR ISRAEL PARTICIPATION.

I am the Eurovision gay this time of year, I love this show. Not only is my country hosting 2024 but it's also in a city I love, but I can't watch as people sing about peace and love while Palestinians are getting killed by one of the participants.

I've complied a couple of petitions, open letters and information regarding Eurovision: Eurovision isn't the highest priority regarding Gaza, but this show is marketing & tourism for countries, Israel is using it to pink wash their politics

According to SVT, Swedish television network in charge of Eurovision 2024 in Sweden Malmö, Eurovision is apolitical, and therefore Israel qualify. They refer to any calls for boycott meaningless ( via )

Eurovision has always been political, and was created as a celebration of peace after WW2. Songs are statements, and EBU took action by banning Russia and Belarus for the invasion of Ukraine. It's a way to show sympathy and solidarity, which Gaza is in need of now.

Why Eurovision is so important to Israel is the opportunity of pink washing, and appearing liberal and LGBTQ-friendly, that the show encourages. This leads to great marketing and tourism for the country, alqueerian on twitter did a great thread about it:
