Hi everyone,

I have something to share about how Patreon subscribers will keep accessing exclusive content in the future. Starting very soon, I'll be introducing a new way to provide early access that ensures a more secure and fair experience for everyone who supports my work. This change will allow me to continue creating without unnecessary stress, while keeping content accessible for all.

Why this change?

Unfortunately, piracy has been a growing issue. My interactive fictions are always free, with early access available as a thank-you for my Patreon supporters. But lately, even this small gesture of support has been undermined by piracy.

Creating interactive fiction takes hours of daily effort, research, and creativity. Sharing my stories publicly is something I love to do, but piracy adds unnecessary stress to an already demanding process. I'm not EA or Valve—I'm not a big corporation that can shrug off the effects of piracy. At this point, I earn less than 20 cents for every hour of work I put into my interactive stories. Imagine earning so little for your hard work, only to see it taken and distributed without your permission—It's disheartening, frustrating, and ultimately unsustainable. It makes me feel devalued as a creator and disrespects the readers who contribute honestly in the first place.

If you've been sharing or downloading pirated copies of my work, I’d ask you to reconsider. I know sometimes it can seem like no harm is being done, but piracy takes away from the time and effort I put into creating these stories. What��s more, my stories always become completely free in less than 30 days. Stealing the early access version only hurts the person creating it—and there's no benefit to you. All you need to do is wait a little while to enjoy the same story, for free, as intended.

To put it bluntly: piracy sends a clear message that my time and effort aren't valued. If you steal from me, you're not a fan of my work; you have no respect for another struggling human being. If this continues, I'll have no choice but to rethink how—or if—I share my work publicly. I'm just a person like you, and I want to keep writing and sharing these stories with you, but only if it's a relationship built on trust and mutual respect.

My friend’s a designer so I’ve snuck in and heard quite a lot from designer servers and seen a LOT from creator club; let me tell you that so many people behind the scenes are genuinely the most annoying complainers you could possibly imagine lol. . .

My favorite story is when a certain popular banned creator got really pissed off at someone for kindly giving their collab spot to someone who really wanted it, and then everyone in the server bullied them for it. Like this is the level I’m talking on.

A lot of them severely take Creatorsupport for granted and continually spam them or make jabs at them being “ghosted” when Creatorsupport are literally just one person who is having to deal with several hundred people from the most chalkboard-nail scratchingly annoying website (new phrase i just made up) ever.

There are a few designers in particular who have a massive ego as well and consider themselves “authority” of creators and speaking for issues but 9 times out of 10 these people are the ones who never spoke up against when their friends were being shitty and act like it didn’t happen. There’s one designer in particular who’s responsible for this kind of behaviour and it is so obvious if you’ve paid attention.

Like nobody talks about the designers (who are still on-site) who were microagressive to a certain big-name designer in 2022. Or about how so many “popular” (is that even the right word?) designers act like authority on situations that don’t pertain to them and cause more problems than they should. No one talks about how this one particular designer who has ALWAYS bullied and attacked individuals who disagree or stand up to them to the point where everyone is afraid to even mention their name in a slightly-less-than-positive light.

Granted it’s a lot better than it used to be - designer drama was so much more messier and public in the earlier days BUT that doesn’t mean the snarkiness, bigotry, predators, egos etc haven’t gone. It’s still there but no one talks about it unless it’s a public situation like with Kween or XX2C (Those are banned users so I hope I can mention this.) It doesn’t take much to remember and hold these people accountable so I don’t understand why others haven’t been doing that.

People would much rather complain about a stupid competition being late.
