I’m sorry, there is no heterosexual explanation for the way Cropsy was holding Luther before The Riffs got them.

After a cruel joke goes awry, severely burning him and subjecting him to five years of intensive, unsuccessful skin graft treatments, Cropsy (Lou David) is back at camp...and ready to wreak havoc on those who scarred him! With his hedge clippers in hand, he terrorizes the camp and systematically mutilates each victim. Can a few courageous campers save themselves and destroy this demented madman before he kills them all?

I'm on my second watch of The Burning and I forgot how much I loved this. There's different tiers for what makes something a good or even "the perfect horror movie", but this is one of the best 80s slasher films ever.
The soundtrack is great. The characters actually look their age. The effects are solid. The writing is believable. The acting is so, so good. Cropsy is awesome and it's a shame that he never got to the status icon level of Michael, Freddy, Jason, or Bubba.
Why this never took off like other movies, especially one off titles, I'll never get. But it's great knowing it's become a cult classic.
