New CrossStitcher just dropped!

I've read almost every English language cross stitch magazine under the sun, and CrossStitcher is my favourite. It's the only one I subscribe to. I love the patterns, the art style of the designers, and how the patterns are in colour.

You can also subscribe to the digital edition of CrossStitcher (and many other magazines!) for free via your public library if your library uses Libby and (I believe) Hoopla! If your library doesn't use those, you should ask if there's them if they offer a way to access digital magazines. Also, if you happen to use Kindle Unlimited, I believe it and others are accessible there.

(I should make a post on that, honestly, and out-of-region library cards... if there's any interest in different ways to access cross stitch and other craft magazine, both for free and subscription, let me know, and I'll make a post on all the ways I know!)

Anyway, this edition of CrossStitcher (March 2025) dropped on PocketMags yesterday (January 12th, 2025. Don't ask me why it drops two months early. A lot of crafting magazines do that, I guess!). It isn't yet on my library's Libby, but it will be there soon!

Kyrgyzstan is my homeland and this is a Kyrgyz pattern I really liked, so I turned it into a cross-stitch chart to stitch it myself.

Right at the finish line, I suddenly ran out of my entire skein of floss 😅 Had to run to my mom for help, she has a much bigger collection of floss than I do. The color’s not exactly the same, but now this piece has its own little story. A sweet reminder that perfection isn’t everything 😊

2-2025 Finish #7

Finished this nice piece. Yes, I know, the fabric was a little small. I used a scrap piece I had. Not sure I enjoyed making it. I had to rip out several flowers and redo, since I can't count correctly. But end results are beautiful! My friend is excited to receive it.
