Plot

Void and Sunny are twins. Sunny, with the power of the sun, can create illusions. Void can travel worlds. They go to worlds for fun, amusement - new stories, food, music. One day, though, that all changes. A man who wore a blue crystal decided they were doing it wrong. You have to use Crystalline, he told them. They managed to get away from him, but they've been on the run from the Alignment ever since.

One day, they stumble across a world with a tear. With growing horror, they realize that this jumble of worlds has been broken open, and they're leaking into each other. Do they save themselves, or help these worlds?

I was recently (like today) inspired by Nate Draikinator's CrystalSahde AU and so I'm throwing my own in the ring.

So a few things to point out 

1) do we really know how reincarnation works? 

2) how come Jake's littermates are never really mentioned or even described? HHHMMMM 

 I bring forth the CrystalShade Reincarnation AU. In this Mapleshade, instead of ambushing Appledusk in the northern boarder area, she finds him in the south part of riverclan territory near-ish twoleg place. The fight happens but instead she is found by Crystal who, seeing a dying cat somehow make it into her yard goes and brings her twolegs who end up saving MapleShade's life.

 During her recovery MapleShade is very hostile to the two legs and Crystal but being the big buff Crystal is, just brushes it off and helps keep her company. When MapleShade ends up talking about her dead kits, Crystal feels for her and tells her that *surprisingly* she thinks she may have gotten pregnant around the time that her kit's died. MapleShade and Crystal end up forming a bit more than a friendship and Crystal offers for MapleShade to be her kit's second mother as the father of the litter is gone. MapleShade agrees and it's later found out that the 3kits (including Jake) are actually reincarnations of MapleShade's dead kits given a second chance at life with their mother. 

 Crystal and Maple end up being gay moms and the kits grow up and eventually leave, the two gay felines dying peacefully later and Jake going on to help bring FireStar into the clans. While FireStar technically would be the decedent of a "clan cat" the reincarnation thing is iffy so he'd still be a kittypet but would also explain a bit of his skills that impressed BlueStar to begin with.

haha no tumblr just decided i was and they’re relatable to me most of the time so i reblogged them. currently i am thinking of my utdr and tsp crossover. however!! i will not pass up this opportunity.

hmm… who should i talk about this time… *shuffles papers* ah, sure, Lotus

Lotus is a character who was just supposed to be Nox’s (from dimension jumper) mother. However, when I was consumed by Appetite of a People Pleaser, I decided to base her backstory on that and she is now going to be a part of Crystalshade.

Essentially, she got lost in the multiverse and met Iifu, who was recruiting people for his new world jumping group, the [name in progress]. He took advantage of her being at a lost and miserable place and wrapped her around his finger. She tries desperately to make everyone happy and loses both herself and her home world in the multiverse.

When the [name in progress] disbanded, she was lost for a while. Eventually, she landed in a world, and a man around her age, Grynn, was kind to her. They fell in love and on their honeymoon, she smashed her Crystalline (item that let her jump worlds) and made sure she could never put it back together. She wears it as a necklace, still, to remind herself of her past.

She can’t have kids, so she adopts Vivi and Nox with Grynn and they raise them together. Nox remembers the system more than Vivi and is cold to people he doesn’t know, but Vivi is sweet as she was a baby when she was adopted and doesn’t remember what happened before. A few years after that she meets the player of Dimension Jumper and after they leave she always wonders what came of them.

But she’s happy in this world, even if isn’t her home one.

(It is. She just doesn’t remember.)
