Just finished Cut Stones and Crossroads, a book about Perú antes del turismo de masas by the British Canadian archaeologist Ronald Wright. Fascinating insights about the Inca, the Andean empires that preceded that short-lived empire, and the current (1970s anyway) lives of their Andean progeny. Recommended reading for any one interested in archaeology, Andean culture or who is planning a trip to Machu Picchu.
