Cyclone Asani to bring rain to these states, and a heatwave to strike Delhi!!!
Coastal Odisha and the adjoining areas of the north coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal west Bengal are under the influence of the cyclone and it is expected that the areas will receive more rainfall from the evening of 10th May, Tuesday. It has been expected that the cyclone will cause heavy rain in the southern part of West Bengal that also including Kolkata till the 13th of May. The weather office in Ranchi has announced that Jharkhand will experience light to moderate rainfall in its southern, central, and northeast parts from 11th May to 13th May. While at the same time, the heatwave is set to return to Delhi.
As per the reports of the Met office, it has been said that the Asani coming close to the north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha Coasts is likely to lessen in the intensity into a cyclonic storm by Tuesday on 10th May night. This cyclone will not make any landfall either in Odisha or Andhra Pradesh but will move parallel to the east coast and cause heavy rain. Gusty winds at speed of 30 to 40kmph are also expected in some pockets.
According to the weather office, very high sea conditions were likely to prevail over the west-central and adjoining south Bay of Bengal and asked fishermen not to venture out in the region from Tuesday for at least two days. It also advised that all the tourism activities that are enjoyed by people in the coastal areas will be stepped till 13th May.
Ranchi meteorological center in charge of Abishek Anand told PTI that “Since the system is unlikely to make landfall on either Odisha or Andhra Pradesh, it will not make any large impact in Jharkhand. The state will experience a change in weather due to the system’s expanded cloud hand and the incursion of moisture from the Bay of Bengal”.

Quote
In Narsinghpatana, a village in the Puri district of Odisha, Bijoy and fellow Dalit families managed to enter the cyclone relief shelter after they were stopped by neighbours from the dominant caste. They “allowed us to enter the shelter on the condition that we would stay in a specific part of the shelter and would not come close to them”, said Bijoy. “When we used the hand pump, [members of different castes] used to wash the hand pump with water and clean their hands before they used it,” Bijoy said, laughing. One can easily tell who was impacted most by Cyclone Fani – even three years later. A group of houses with blue roofs made of tarpaulin sits at one end of the village. At the other end, the homes are all well-built structures. Every person living under a tarpaulin roof is Dalit. The tarpaulin was meant as temporary relief, providing villagers with shelter while they waited for damage compensation from the state. But three years on, having yet to receive compensation, those have become permanent roofs. “We are the ones who have lost everything,” Bijoy said. “[The other castes] have rebuilt their homes, [they’re] back to their jobs, and here we are, living under the blue plastic.”

Tumblr media
With a large number of manufacturers and power plants nearby, Jharsuguda is widely renowned for its industry. Additionally, the city serves as a crucial rail link that connects various regions of Odisha to the rest of the nation. However, improvements in the field of healthcare are still possible. Even while the city is making improvements to its medical infrastructure, emergencies nevertheless arise from time to time requiring a quick trip to a specialized hospital that is not easily accessible by automobile. Although Jharsuguda has a few hospitals and clinics, there aren't enough facilities for very ill patients who require specialized care.In these situations, Jharsuguda's air ambulance services are like having a life-saving superhero.
Why is Jharsuguda in need of air ambulance services? Tough-to-Reach Places: There are areas all around Jharsuguda where it is difficult to get medical assistance immediately. Natural Disasters: Cyclones and floods that render roads impassable can occur in Jharsuguda. Air ambulance services in Jharsuguda become crucial in these situations. When the crisis makes it difficult to access some places, they can rescue injured people and offer medical assistance.
How do Jharsuguda's air ambulance services work? Air Ambulance Services in Jharsuguda can be a lifesaver when a medical emergency arises in a distant area or when speed is of the essence. At Air Ambulancee, our air ambulances are built to quickly transfer patients in need of emergency medical care.
The procedure for sending out an air ambulance
The dispatch crew responds quickly to a call seeking air ambulance transportation for an emergency. They evaluate the situation fast.
The medical staff on board must get ready for the flight before the patient is loaded onto the aircraft. This involves making certain that the maximum standard of care is provided throughout the flight by having all required drugs, tools, and supplies on hand. In order to stabilize the patient for transfer, the medical staff must also evaluate the patient's condition.
Aircraft Readiness
The airplane crew is busy prepping the aircraft for takeoff while the medical team gets the patient ready for transport. This include filling the aircraft with fuel, doing safety inspections, and making sure all systems are operating as they should. The intention is to keep delays to a minimum and make sure the patient has a safe and easy journey.
During Flight Medical Attention
After the patient is boarded and the flight takes off, the medical staff concentrates on giving the patient the best care possible while also disseminating information regarding air ambulance expenses. This could entail giving prescriptions, keeping an eye on the patient's vital signs, and reacting to any changes in their health. The medical staff is prepared to manage a variety of medical crises, guaranteeing that the patient gets the greatest care while traveling.
Upon arrival and transfer
When the aircraft reaches its destination, ground transportation will meet it and take the patient to the hospital or other medical facility. In order to guarantee continuity of treatment and a seamless transition, the medical team will thoroughly hand over to the receiving medical personnel.

Preparations and impact
As the storm approached the east coast of India, India's meteorological department issued a red alert for the region. In Tamil Nadu, over 500 personnel of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Tamil Nadu Disaster Response Force (TNDRF) was deployed.[12][13] 121 multi-purpose centers and 4,967 relief centers were set-up in the eight coastal districts of Tamil Nadu to help in the aftermath of the cyclone.[14] In Andhra Pradesh, 181 relief camps were set up across the eight districts, with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and AP State Disaster Response Force (APSDRF) deploying five teams each to assist in the affected areas.[15][16] Southern districts of Odisha were also to receive heavy rainfall due to the cyclone, and the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force were deployed to assist local authorities.[17]
Heavy rain and strong winds battered the coastal areas.[18] Persistent rains caused widespread flooding and inundation in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu.[19] Rivers including Cooum and major lakes overflowed in Chennai causing further water logging in the low lying areas along the banks.[20] At least 17 people were killed, and more than 41,000 people were evacuated and temporarily relocated, including 32,158 in Tamil Nadu and 9,500 in Andhra Pradesh.[21][22] Power supply was cut off by the government in flooded areas in Chennai as a preventive measure to avert electrocution.[23]
Tumblr media
Chennai International Airport closed its operations on December 4 due to flooding in the apron and runways, with flights being diverted or cancelled and operations resuming the next day.[24] Schools and offices were closed due to heavy rains and flooding.[25] Southern Railways and East Coast Railways re-directed and cancelled several trains.[26] Several businesses and industries in Chennai were impacted adversely as operations were ceased due to power shortages, flooding and damage to equipment.[27] In Andhra Pradesh, crop damage and losses were reported due to the flooding of fields.[28] There was also a shortage of essential commodities including milk which was exacerbated by panic buying.[29]
