Hihi! This is my Guild Wars 2 blog. I've been playing since launch and still have no clue what the heck I'm doing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Essentially just here to rant about my characters (as one does) and reblog cool art and memes (as one does). This is a SFW blog so no naughty stuff here, thanks.

CHARACTER TAG • MY EDITS • MY WRITING

CYNA CRYSTALCLAW. Commander of Dragon's Watch and the Crystal Guardian. Former Blood Legion soldier, now Ash. Wielder of the Vestige of Glint. Has an unmatched temper, and her bite is just as fierce as her bark. She is no stranger to the horrors of war, dragons, and even death - but through these endless struggles and strife that she's endured as one of Tyria's heroes, she is reminded of one thing above all -- that she's still standing. Tag.

DOKKS. Mechanics and engineering expert for Dragon's Watch, and a steady hand that Cyna has greatly needed. Old man. Universal father figure for the guild. Incredibly kindhearted and uniquely eccentric. He utilizes his far travels in Tyria and the influence of other races to inspire his work, creating mechanisms and technology that many asura would turn their nose up at for how atypical or "un-asuran" they appear. Specializes in holo-tech. Loves his grandson more than life itself. Tag.

KOORN. Bio-tech expert for Dragon's Watch. Dokks' grandson. A young Asura filled with potential and promise that had been conducted in the wrong direction - particularly by his mother, who is a high-ranking member of the Inquest. Because of this, Koorn is not unlike many of the other members of the Inquest, being snobbish, rude, and self-absorbed. However, it's likely that this persona is simply a front, and on the inside the young asura simply is hiding a core of insecurity and lack of confidence in himself. Tag.

MERLISH CENDIGG. A ghost of Ascalon that's rather unique to the others. Merlish used his expertise in magic to spare himself from the curse of the Foefire - to an extent. But then the spear he bound his soul to lay forgotten for centuries amongst the rubble, before eventually being plucked from the city ruins by one of the Astral Ward and brought to the Wizard's Tower. Suddenly Isgarren was reminded of a forgotten member of the Ward, lost centuries ago. Tag.

NOVA WARHORNS. A nigh sadistic charr with a taste for any form of meat. Possessor of multiple brain-eating parasites. Gnawed off her own arm. Traveled south where she eventually met the most hideous and ancient asura anyone had ever laid their eyes on. Despite her best attempts at also gnawing off his arms, the two eventually became a bounty hunting duo established in Elona. Tag.

DESIGNATION V. Real name Vext. Former Peacemaker. He and his unit were tipped off about a krewe in Metrica Province practicing unethical research. Subsequentially trapped during the investigation and used as a guinea pig, Vext was shoved into the Mists and declared dead by the Arcane Council. Now pops in and out of Tyria seemingly at random. Regarded by the Arcane Eye as an "anomaly" and is being unsuccessfully sought after by them. Also Dokks' brother. Tag.

EX-COUNCILLOR PHLUNK. Twin brother of Councillor Phlunt. Held a chair as a councillor for a week. Kept "Ex-Councillor" as his official title after this for some reason. Moved to Divinity's Reach not long after, adopting a quintessential, stereotypical wizard persona wherein he opened a business to shuffle out his "wizarding services" for a high fee. Eventually kicked off his own trading enterprise to rival the Black Lion Trading Company, though something seems off about it. Tag.

ENN(DRIS). A grandmotherly asura with a keen eye. Dokks' wife and Koorn's grandmother. Is long deceased in the original Tyria, but still lives in Dokks' place in her own, alternate Tyria. Tag.

@householt Great writers. Truly. They also don’t force their agenda on other guilds but will work to include others if they wish it. I have a lot of respect for them.

@housestygian I don’t see them around as much of late but they were always really square with me. I think they are coming active again, so worth a check out for sure.

@musingzero Just commissioned two pieces from them and they blew my mind. Namely because I had no real references for either of them and from nothing she just built perfectly the characters and brought them to life. Amazing.

I wanted to apologize for the lack of updates over the past few months, but this is what I have been working on, a pretty massive overhaul and a brand new ref sheet to reflect such! Admittedly I kept letting art block stop me instead of powering through it like I should have been (and like I choose to do over the past several days!). The first image is the overhauled design for Brill as well as his attire, physically the changes shown in this image are mainly a few adjustments to his stripes, a new and hopefully more consistent mane and tail style, and some rework to his wings to try and better show there above average size compared to that of a normal ponies (roughly 50% larger than they should be, which due to his height makes them quite large). The blue glowing dots placed along his wings base are enchanted studs that help channel his innate pegasus magics and make so that he is actually capable of flight, without these he's not much better off than an earth pony when it comes to flight. His attire is where the biggest overhauls have occurred, in this case leaving behind the fancy armor he used to wear and replacing it with a rather dapper brown jacket with a wee bit of a neck to it, and throwing a well worn and heavily enchanted lab coat over top of it (which beyond the wing holes also features a rather peculiar rectangle cut out of it that goes from about his wing joints to his thighs revealing bare (if somewhat scarred)skin beneath it) Beneath this is a rather plane “catsuit” to help add a bit of extra protection from the elements. The purple armor plates on his legs are MKI Equestrian stealth plating and are paired with two more that he wears on his cybernetics, as well as a harness that he wears under everything excluding the catsuit. The bandoleer is where he stores his most commonly used items, in this case a bag of illusionary cloud, three haven potions, and a high end multi tool. His “saddle” bag is a ammo box and satchel that he's rigged up straps for, the straps above the ammo box also has a spot for a holster so that he can hide his rifle beneath his wing. The pipbuck on his leg is a fairly uncommon model that's thinner and sleeker than the more common 2000 or 3000s the skin around it seems to be scarred and merged together. An lastly but most certainly not least the bronze flight goggles with the red tinted lenses, these at a glance are fairly standard (if somewhat high quality) flight goggles, but these beauts have a few fun features, the first and foremost of which are photosensitive lenses, which for a pony such as brill who could easily be blinded by bright lights are quite useful, good for everything from flashbangs and sunlight to welding torches they will adjust to nearly any light level at a moments notice, not much good for seeing in the dark but that doesn't matter much since that's what Brill's eyes are best for! Brill has a small pile of interchangeable lens for varying situations ranging from magical energy detection to low frequency sonic vibrations and even thermal! When outside of their case or the goggles the lenses are quite fragile and most magically energies will cause them to shatter within a few moments. The second image is of Brills hind leg which is made from several salvaged suites of power armor and a couple of high end robot parts, it has a couple of tricks in it, but for the most part is built simply so he can walk normally. The upper part of the leg is actually hollow since brill does in fact still have most of his upper hind leg (he was a few inches from losing his cutiemark, bit of luck that he didn’t if you ask him). The third, fourth, fifth, and sixth images are of Brill’s foreleg which on the other hoof is a masterpiece of pre-megaspell engineering (to toot his own horn), this beast is custom built from the ground up and inspired by a few things he saw while on an adventure with a rather specific (If not strangely fantastic!) pony, the symbol on the upper segment faintly glows and is written in an text which Brill can not read, the leg can rotate a full 360 degrees on the ball joint, as well as having a wide range of flexibility to all sides for the same reason. The lower portion contains a recessed storage compartment in the front, a magic tec adjustable hoofprint (for all your behind enemy lines needs!), a hidden hand whose functionality is somewhat obvious, and last but most certainly not least a foot long segment of starmetal!
