Creative Process

My drawing program is FireAlpaca and I use an XP Pen drawing monitor.

I use shit tons of references as it makes drawing easier and faster with better results. 

I draw the panels directly with a free hand without sketching 99.9% of the time.

Everything is improvised - or channeled, however you want to call it. The ideas come to me, I don’t come up with the ideas. The characters tell me who they are.

I don’t write scripts. All you read is improvised. When I draw I know what’s the red string of that scene but I don’t know what is exactly said until I start to type.

The themes you see in DHD comics are part of my own life. I support multiple charity and supportive projects mainly for women and kids, such as Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) International, Love146, The Gubbio Project, Women Help Women and local programs in Finland, like Pro-Tukipiste for victims of human trafficking & sex workers in Finland.

There are always typos in the comics, no matter how hard I try to find them. I make typos also in my native language pretty much every time I write. Please bear with them!

I have no money, manpower or other resources to make, store and ship DHD merch or printed books. These all are options for the future, though.

I’m chronically ill with an incurable, disabeling disease and one other difficult disease to cure. Thus, I work slowly and update whenever I get an idea or can.

There’s no update schedule. A new story appears whenever I get an idea and can draw it. Sometimes this can take months.

Teen!Richie x Reader Headcanons

Warnings: swearing, social issues, jail + cops, mentions of drugs, alcohol + sex

~ You guys started dating after the events of the summer of ‘89. You were both traumatized and seeked one another, not expecting to find love in the mix.

~ This boy = massive fucking string bean. He shot up like a whole foot the summer going into sophomore year and it was very scary to say the least. Hugs went from the same level to him leaning down or you standing on your tip toes to put your arms around his neck. His hugs were always your favorite, but the added height difference made them even more enjoyable.

~ His kisses were either really really rough or the softest little pecks; it all depended on how he felt that day. Most of the time they were soft and passionate, but there was always the occasional jealousy kiss because, listen, this boy gets jealous so e a s i l y.

~ If you thought Richie would be able to cope with his childhood trauma without weed and vodka, you’re a dumbass. This kid got drunk all the time, but he would always make sure to be with you when he did. The last thing he wanted to do was end up in a bad situation, and he knew that you didn’t drink. So, you were is “DHD” as he called it: Designated Hot Date.

~ Though you didn’t get drunk with Richie, you guys got high together pretty often. You’d just get a soft knock on your window and he’d be crouched on your roof with a ziploc bag with a couple of joints in it. You’d roll your eyes, grabbing your shoes and sneaking out with him for a late 2am walk.

~ Surprisingly, he was the more responsible one while high and kept a look out for you. He’d gotten high so many times that it didn’t really impair him too much anymore, but you were still new to it and would get a loopy and go absolutely batshit crazy.

~ This boy can motherfuckin’ cuddle. It’s his favorite thing to do. A cold Saturday afternoon? He’d prefer laying with you in bed as The Cure played out of record player and he softly sang the lyrics of Boys Don’t Cry into your hair.

~ He wraps his arms around your waist and nuzzles his face into the back of your neck. You usually been your legs back and slot your feet in between his thighs, keeping them warm.

~ As he got older, he’d become more and more responsible, getting a job at the movie theatre. You’d visit him almost every shift and would make out in empty movie theatres on his breaks. With this job, he got into movies for free as well, so whenever a new movie came out, you were both the first ones in the theatre.

~ He was able to save up for his own car with all this money and fell in love with driving. He’d take you anywhere: school, the quarry, even just from your house to his house. Richie loved seeing you in the passenger’s seat, loudly singing along to the same five cassettes he had in his car.

~ Richie goes ALL O U T for birthdays. He buys you flowers and a gift and will take you out on a date to Bangor or another close city to a nice restaurant. You insist he just keeps you in Derry, but he refuses.

~ “We’ve been to these restaurants before! We’ve gotta go somewhere new on every single big date, okay, my love?” This earns him an eye roll and a kiss on the cheek.

~ For his birthday one year, you bought him more cassette tapes to put in the car. “So that we can learn more albums by heart together.”

~ Sex with Richie was always soft and gentle. He took your virginity when you guys were 16, so he knows what you like, and you like it gentle. Richie just wants to please you, please let him.

~ Richie was a big proponent of civil rights and other things like that, so he went to any protest he could. He took part in a ton of the LGBT protests that went on in Bangor and Augusta just for the hell of it. He brought you with him a lot of the time, wanting you to feel the adrenaline of fighting the government. He loves social justice. Seriously, he probably would’ve led protests for the rest of his life if he didn’t follow you out to California.

~ When you got accepted to college in California, he started packing his bags.

• “I can drive us out! We can start at the beginning of the summer and we both have money saved up to visit different states and to get a little apartment.”

• “Why do you wanna go so bad, Tozier? I’m gonna be in class everyday and I won’t see you very often.”

• “I’d travel the world for you, baby. Plus, you didn’t think you’d get rid of me so fast, did ya?”

~ When you both graduated, he gave you a promise ring. He knew that you guys were going to get married, no matter what, but he just had to make sure you knew, too.

• “There’s no way I’m losing you. You’ve gotta marry me, or else I’ll regret my teenage years forever. How embarrassing would that be? I forgot the person that taught me what love was.”

OKAY so I work an eight or ten hour shift today and I walk the entirety of campus and it's snowing and my shoes have holes in them and I just got surgery on my knee so I'm in pain but that Bokuroo with the babe has CURED ME MY PAIN IS GONE MY FACE IS CLEAR THERE ARE BIRDS SINGING THROUGH THE SNOWFLAKES MY SOCKS ARE DRY

Kaminari exists in Kirishima’s close proximity and we’re still good so I’d assume we’d be safe if he were to meet Bokuto too - the real question is would my heart be safe

Plague: Is trying to get fired

Kahamet: So anyways, you're getting promoted.

That's basically how the latest chapter of DHD went, right?

I love the new chapter! It makes me more curious about Plague and Cure's relationship.

Their relationship is a curious one indeed, even for me.

On the other hand, it is slavery in a way that Cure belongs to Plague and has, as a payment, lost her human rights.

Then, it seems that Cure is either fine with this or has accepted her destiny as it is. Her personality is submissive and adaptable.

While Plague has legal rights as a Death-Head owning Cure to do anything he wants to her, we have seen Plague treating Cure mainly like a servant or an assistant to clean up his messes. There's no physical, financial or sexual violence. He is making her run errands, do his job and he's verbally aggressive towards Cure (but he's verbally aggressive towards anyone except Kahamet).

Plague doesn't seem like a person who will bother with anything unless it really pays off for his benefit, so there has to be a reason why Plague has kept Cure around for so long. After all, once you claim a person as a payment for a deal, there's no regulation for how long you have to keep that person. Just like Alrick took Vanessa as a payment from Rodin and immediately let go of her.

I had a deer with small horns in mind when I was drawing Cure, like the deer Dik dik (below) but I can see why one would think a cow :3 I didn't get to show you full body of Cure yet, albeit there's one in my Patreon.

Is Cure technically a half face or a full face? She looks to only have one set of ears, but her face isn't fully sheep-y either. Regardless, love her design, she's so cute!

It seems that Cure is ALMOST a full face but with a half-face's face. I think that in DHD terms, that would make her a hybrid or a mutation of a full-face (as mutations exist, too, like, a full face might be born without a tail etc.)

I've been planning her colors so I hope I can publish her character sheet soon :3 Patrons have seen my first attempts.
