Repostober Day 4 aka HAHAHA LOOK AT MY VIDEOS GAME FAN CHILD!! LOOK AT MY BABY !!!

Her name is Daisy Fullbear-Zanotto and she is Helmut Fullbear + Bob Zanotto's sweet round baby girl <3 They had her in the olden gulch days, but then the Maligula incident happens mostly like it does in canon. Bob was left to raise Daisy with Truman's help after Helmut's "untimely death", and it's all very sad. But then Daisy ends up being the one to find and explore the brain from the heptadome and basically unravel the Helmut myster 10 years earlier than in canon. Helmut Bob & Daisy all have a heartwarming reunion bc I Say So <3

My main project for the past 10 days is DONE.

I think I won artfight with this 5000-point attack. 85 characters, all different Psychonauts characters found on Artfight, and I'm going to sleep.

The ID isn't all that good yet, sorry, but it's 3 am and I finally finished this heckin' thing.

bob told daisy that she was a cabbage patch kid and she also has an original cabbage patch kid she considers siblings with her horrible halloween decoration doll she loves so very much so she thinks of that whole concept as like the typical cutesy fairytale stuff but theres blood and gravestones not in a scary way its just there neutrally

hit exclusive daisy lore: helmut and bob first seriously started talking abt having kids bc marona had been invited to their wedding and brought little baby augustus along, which made bob think aw i miss when truman was a little tyke i like being an uncle...

when i was looking for vanya's ref sheet earlier to add them to my lil silly comic today i had to scroll thru a lot of my daisy fullbear-zanotto stuff

and boy am i still just so fond of my lil baby fankid... shes my baby angel

would bob and helmut want kids? i think, specifically in canon, maybe not. but this aint about canon baBEY. its about babies. like a little angle baby who likes synth and mushrooms

This isn't cyclenuts specific but I love it when people make fankid ocs and give them the surnames of both of their parents (if the surnames are known). It makes me go auhhghgdhgdhsgdh [explodes]

Daisy being afraid of heights immediately came to mind bc it's been sort of a fear getting to me lately lol

Helmut tried to gently float her up in the air as a baby for fun and she cried so hard... Helmut was rly surprised and didn't do it again

when she's older she can levitate if she puts her mind to it but she prefers staying on the ground, or rollerblading!

as i reblogged everything i realized if daisy's never astral projected before finding helmuts brain that could mean shes kinda just wingin it when it comes to fighting mental constructs. she might not even fight em at all. take the ol pn1 route of running past them at every given opportunity.

17. Are they easily embarrassed?

I feel like she'll get embarrassed about people bringing up her dads or other family in the context of comparing her to them, or embarrassed by her dads doing mushy dad stuff in front of her friends, but those moments are few and far between

28. Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth? 

Absolutely not haha, the reason she stubbornly ends up finding and going inside Helmut's brain 10 years earlier than in canon is because she can tell her family is hiding unpleasant truths from her in the form of kid friendly lies/lies by omission and she wasn't happy about that

1,2,4 for Daisy?

1. What's the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

When she's a kid barely no time at all, like Bob could barely get her to sit still for family photos. Once she's older she has her own methods for getting herself to sit still if she needs to, but she will need SOMETHING to do after like. half an hour at max or she'll get real antsy

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Very easy :) shes a nervous laugh type but also just finds amusement in lots of little things

4. How easy is it to earn their trust?

Fairly easy I'd say, like she won't trust you immediately with everything of course but in her mind most people should be given the chance to be trusted until the privelidge is revoked for whatever reason

I’ve had this scene in my head for Daisy’s 10 year early discovery of Helmut’s mind for a long time now. It’s only just this weekend I was able to get it down in drawing form!

I figured if she’s going in that brain, she needs to find a psychoportal to do that with, and I know she wouldn’t just be given one.

ID #1: Daisy stares up at the brain contained in Otto’s Brainframe. She says “‘Heptadome Harry’, huh? You. You’re gonna give me some answers.” In the next panel Daisy is holding “Harry” in a jar and says “I just hope you’re not… y’know,” before she’s startled by an off screen character asking “Ms. Zanotto?”. End ID.

ID #2: Daisy holds Harry behind her back as she looks up at Sasha Nein. Sasha is a young adult here, wearing a pair of goggles resting on his head, a sweater, a long coat, slacks and pants. Daisy stammers “Mr. — Agent Nein! I, uh -“ before Sasha interrupts to point at her and say “You should not be back here, miss.” and Daisy says “Uh, uh”. The next panel shows Daisy’s face looking away from Sasha as she continues “I was just - my Uncle Otto said I could - I cooould uhhhh, he totally knows I’m here so it’s ok if I, if. Augh, you don’t buy that huh?” In the middle of Daisy’s rambling there is a cut to Sasha looking at her skeptically, and a cut back to Daisy’s face as she sighs in defeat. End ID.

ID #3: Daisy holds Harry back in front of herself, and will continue to hold his jar for the majority of the comic. She looks up at Sasha and says “Agent Nein, I know this brain should stay here, but I need it. I know that sounds strange!” Sasha says “Ja, it does.” With a close up shot on Harry, Daisy replies “But it could have information I need about… important stuff.” Sasha looks unimpressed as he makes air quotes with his fingers to repeat “‘Important’…’stuff’?” He then claps his hands in front of himself and asks “Ms. Zanotto, do you even know how to access a brain like that?” End ID.

ID #4: Daisy looks down to the floor and says “Uhm, no…” then looks up defiantly to add “But I still want to try! Cause everyone’s keeping secrets from me!” Daisy looks nervously away from Sasha when he asks “Like what?” When Daisy says “I don’t know if I should tell you.” Sasha pinches the bridge of his nose and replies “That helps very little.” Daisy looks up and says “Sorry… all I can say is. Something’s off.” End ID.

ID #5: Daisy says “My aunt, my uncles, Dad, they know something I don’t” as she thinks about the shadowy figure of Maligula. Daisy continues “And they won’t tell me even though I’m a big girl now! It’s so - so -! FRUSTRATING!” Daisy sadly rests her chin on Harry’s jar and says “I’m frustrated and… and sad. My own Dad won’t talk to me about it. I need some proof to show him he can trust me with the ‘important stuff’”. Sasha rubs his chin as he considers Daisy’s words, a sad, thoughtful look in his eyes. End ID.

ID #6: Sasha closes his eyes and points assertively as he says “Well, Ms. Zanotto, I’m afraid I’ll have to report this to Agent Mentallis, despite your frustrations.” Sasha wags his finger at Daisy, and Daisy says “I know.” Sasha walks past her as he says “You put that specimen back where it belongs. I’ll be back once I’ve taken the proper steps for my report.” End ID.

ID #7: With his hands behind his back, facing away from Daisy who looks dejected, Sasha says “I’ll be a while, so don’t mess with any of his other things.” Daisy says “Okay.” Then Daisy looks confused as Sasha raises a hand to add “Especially his desk, his top left drawer for example.” Daisy looks back at Sasha with a puzzled expression as she asks “Why were you so specific just now?” Sasha says nothing back to her; he only looks at her with a neutral expression. End ID.

ID #8: Daisy watches Sasha exiting through a large door in the distance, and then sees it shut with a CLANG. She says “huh” to herself, and then sneaks over to Otto’s work desk, Harry still in her arms. She frees a hand to grab a drawer from the desk and pull it open. Daisy looks down at her discovery with bright eyes and exclaims “Oh!” The last shot shows her holding a small wooden door that is unpainted excluding large numbers in the front that read “001”. End ID.
