Dreams were a huge theme in the 80s and I still love this song.

Camille Paglia laments the loss of dreaming. I lament the loss of dreaming. It's a loss of imaginative capacity.

Imaginations were thrown out the window for the hope of short-term gain on money and power via everyone installing a mini-Trump into their minds to control and slobbify their own behaviour... but the decline and trouble started long before him.

The film this was from was Streets of Fire. I'm sure Camille Paglia considered her music taste too good for this song, but I certainly am not as choosy.
