Han, hun, Dirch og Dario

Director Paul Borg (Ebbe Langberg) neglects his young, beautiful wife Marianne (Ghita Nørby). He even forget their wedding day, in favor of a new fast sports car, a beautiful silver-gray Jaguar. During his drive, he runs out of gas. A young lady Laura Lublinski (Hanne Borchsenius), helps him and he takes an innocent flirtation with her. When Marianne learns this, she moves home and dump into an artist community with Jenny (Bodil Steen), Ovengaden of water 52 in Christianshavn. Here she takes the unrepentant Don Juan, Mario (Dario Campeotto) and the guitar-playing Eigil (Dirch compatible).

'Angelique' has a fabulous orchestral opening, and then Campeotto comes out with a performance that doesn't quite match the tempo of the orchestra. I'm not sure if he compensates after a moment, if the orchestra compensates, or the song genuinely starts at the wrong speed. No matter who's to blame, it makes for an unsettling opening.

He also looks far too young to be singing what sounds like a rather deep and introspective number on love. I know that Campeotto has been performing from the age of ten, so there will be a maturity of wisdom to go with his voice, but the visuals don't match with the vocals. And the ending is so flat, I wanted something much more soaring, as if true love's kiss was waiting at the end of the three minutes. Alas, it was not to be.
