I got Frosty to somehow work.
It involved a combination of dark magic and the sacrifice of my soul but it finally works!
What I did was the following: Download both the Frosty Patch and the Datapath plugins. You have to have both the frosty patch and frosty itself to launch from EA Desktop. Launch from Frosty Patch. Then, when the EA app pops up you launch Dragon Age from EA (press play from the EA App!) and somehow all of those thhings form an unholy combination to get Steam to also work and voila! The game loads and the mods are included!!! :D

Spent my entire Sunday afternoon attempting to get my Frosty mod manager to actually launch Dragon Age. Nothing works so far. My game launches from Steam perfectly fine but when Frosty is used to launch the game everything goes wrong.
And trust me, I have tried every fix under the sun. Frosty fix, nope. Datapath fix, nope. Launch with EA desktop, nope. Run as administrator, nope. It helps that I've lost hope so I don't feel so frustrated anymore when every attempt with Frosty fails <_<
