Hello any technologically inclined mutual. My computer mutual. What do I do if a game says I need to update my graphics drivers but Windows doesn’t offer any updates. Game opens and plays on Home Screen for a bit, then crashes and says the driver needs an update. worried I may have asked computer to bite off more than it can chew but I’m not enough of a computerhead for this

I would like to draw a lot more :D I think it's a lot of fun to look at historical eras and try to make parallels and connections!(either through my OCs or my F1 boys) But god, when I look at old paintings for ref, the level of detail in the clothing is a bit scary... but I still think it's very interesting to do research into it and design it :)

Bit of historical rambling:

I said in the tags that this AU could really only be Vettonso, and I will explain why. I mean obviously at first, I was only comparing that statue to Seb because uhhhh he looks like Seb!!! But I researched a bit more into that era and guess what's happening at this point: The Spanish War of Succession. Which was when the Spanish Throne was up for grabs, and the two main candidates were a Spanish Duke and an Austrian heir to the Holy Roman Empire. See where I'm going with this?

But the Spanish Duke ends up getting the throne, rightfully, but the Austrian ends up becoming the Holy Roman Emperor even though he wasn't first in line, so who really won in the end!

Lmao I think this AU would end up being: well, guess how we can reunite the Austrian and Spanish bloodlines again....arranged marriage plot!! Canon Divergence in both the matters of them being replaced with Vettonso and also with the war not happening

God help me, I read way too much about the Habsburgs, I blame my trip to Austria 🤧 My German prof, who is from there, always seems kinda proud of the history so I wonder what he'd think if he knew I was looking into it this much....and bastardizing it

my switch keeps orange screening and shit and i'm 90% sure it's bc our internet is really bad and the switch just can't handle it fucking up the way it does but man. this sucks. i'm scared to use my switch.

I switched to Linux and had to install a different desktop environment to get at the useful settings as well as a program to be able to format usb drives and sd cards and I still haven't figured out screencasting (the workaround I have is to use google chrome which is. not ideal) and I have to use a special program to use a good third of the programs I need because they aren't available on Linux and sometimes that doesn't work and I have to reboot the computer into windows and every other day I have to google a fix for some basic function that doesn't come by default on ubuntu

and it is STILL better than just using Windows 11

British Grand Prix: Formula 1 drivers back trial of device to reduce rain spray

At the Japanese Grand Prix last year, Pierre Gasly, who was driving for Alpha Tauri, had a near-miss with a recovery vehicle in the wet conditions Formula 1 drivers have backed a trial of a device aimed at reducing spray in the rain - and said races should not be started if visibility is bad. McLaren and Mercedes are conducting a test of a mudguard-style device at Silverstone on 13 July. McLaren's Lando Norris said: "It's about time. As drivers, we have said for years that something needs to be done." Rain is forecast for the British Grand Prix on Saturday and Sunday. Norris added that poor visibility in the wet was "the biggest safety concern at the minute within F1". Dutch driver Dilano van 't Hoff was killed in a junior category race at Spa-Francorchamps last Saturday in exactly the sort of accident about which F1 drivers have been warning. The 18-year-old T-boned a car that had crashed on the straight and bounced back on to the track, having been unsighted by spray from other cars in a wet race. Norris said: "We've been lucky that nothing has happened in F1 or many other categories and in the worst case sadly we've had to lose a life for people to realise those things can happen. "And it couldn't just happen there. It could have happened last weekend for us in Austria. "It's a shame we had to see such a consequence for people to understand what can happen. It's something that needs to be done. "What's the next thing that can improve safety the most? It's actually being able to see where we're going. That helps sometimes. I look forward to it. I am doing a test so we will see how good it will be. If it doesn't work something else needs to be done to find a solution." Stroll said: "We can't see anything in heavy wet weather. Japan last year, I can recall many races over the past few races in F1 were you just cannot see anything when you are behind another car and it's extremely dangerous. "If someone has an incident in front of you and is sideways in the middle of the track and you can't see where you're going, we shouldn't be racing in those conditions. "It's terrible what happened last week. I don't think that race should have gone ahead in those conditions with the layout of that track. I remember being in that exact situation in Spa when you are coming up on top of Eau Rouge and you're in the middle of a pack and you can't see anything." Haas driver Kevin Magnussen said: "When you can't see, it feels ridiculous when you're doing those speeds and you might as well close your eyes. There is zero visibility and it would be great if that could be improved significantly." Red Bull's Sergio Perez said he believed the new anti-spray device would the affect downforce levels of the cars and some teams would suffer more than others. But he added: "Safety should come first.
