In the darkness of space.. A group of Devoma hold faintly glowing moss that seem to pulse with energy. A tall figure in robes of various colors and a sturdy, silver chest piece raises an arm covered in hanging materials. Gesturing to the group, they begin a sort of dance that tells the history of what led to this exact moment. The history of a horde is honored and passed down from leader to leader, tomes keeping the most intimate knowledge safe. Dance, ceremony, and gestures sacred to the horde collectively make up the unique timeline of the singular group and only the most knowledgeable keeps the secrets safe. The Devoma lines up at the back of the Embrace and lifts the moss into the air. Soon the wake of whales is speckled with a glowing light trail and the horde celebrates another peaceful generation among the horde. The life of a warhorde is hard and sometimes violent, the history painted in superstitions and blood. There is rarely any rest afforded to an active horde, but in between the breaths of a dance tells of beauty, care, and love between the pack. This horde has been floating through space for generations and the hard, dedicated work has led the lore to be vast. Through the work of the ones that floated before, this pack thrives. -- An excerpt from a world building project I did for a species called Devoma! I drew up 5 concept art pieces and wrote about 2.6k words on just one group of nomadic people. It was super fun and a lot of work!

Some more recent art of Orion, including the current header. I often struggle against the urge to change major design elements when i pick up characters I haven't touched in a while. Orion however, is one of the few characters I have who's design always felt like it told a very clear story. Like a volcano threathening to erupt, he cracks and smolders. A stony, inflexible suface threathening to give way to years of supressed pain and anger. His asymetry too aluding to this internal sense of imbalance.

I just joined a CS, Devoma. Its a amazingly cool species.

But you can just as easy get free slots by talking in the server and getting bot levels, using server currency or participating in both perminant prompts or events and server games.

The community is absolutely outstanding. When you post art you dont get instantly overrun, you get genuine comments. In all honesty its one of the best communities i have been in

OH YEA THEY HAVE SUB SPECIES. they have their main and then another like 3 sub-species and an entire collection of pet-species.

their lore is thorough and their official site features a lot of artwork and even includes free to use bases for all the species' ! even including multiple bodytypes, artstyles and gender

Behold, this is my OC, Marsh. He's a devoma, which is a species created by someone else. Regardless, he's a bit of an alien dude that I'm hyperfocusing on currently. Hopefully you all, (who come across this) enjoy it too.

A ref I did of Calypso a lil while back. He's a viceous but shrewd devoman space pirate, whom I've yet to flesh out properly, but I do kinda have some ideas bouncing around my head, one being that he has a secret hideout in the abandoned ruins of some long gone civilization.
