So much to unpack here; the implications that Devil Sword Sparda perhaps has a mind of its own, a piece of Sparda and it was no accident the sword and Dante fell so close to each other after facing Urizen: Sparda's soul was protecting his son by concealing his presence from predators for months. Dante was slumbering in Sparda's shadow.

Second: V may not be 100% Vergil but shares many of his traits including the belief that Dante was the chosen favourite...Vergil believed their mother, Eva died protecting Dante while he was left behind. And now he witnessed their father, Sparda protecting Dante. To V/Vergil, Dante was the favorite "chosen" child. It wasn't true of course but the circumstances fed that belief.

I had a big brain moment - Sparda needed to be more Monstrous to match his sons. he's very nice, apologises to coffee tables when he bumps into them. the perfect gentleman really. he prefers his human form though cos he is more squishy so he can give better hugs.

We should discuss how ANNOYING it must be for Dante and Vergil to be the sons of Sparda. They can't go anywhere without a bitch whispering in their ears about Sparda.

We had a mfer who wanted to BE Sparda.

We had mfers WORSHIPPING Sparda.

We got demons who are like: "HMMMMMMMMMMM, I CAN SMELL THAT SPARDA DNA CIRCULATING IN YOUR BLOOD, BOYS."

We also got the demons who are like: "I SHALL SLAUGHTER YOU TWO FOR WHAT SPARDA HAS DONE TO US!"

Also had a demon be like: "Hmmm, your father was a HANDSOME devil~"

I can't imagine how annoying this gets for those two. 😭 Especially when they get the short end of the stick for something Sparda did.
