OMG CHRYED *sobs* Literally in my top 10 ships of all time. Might need to rewatch some of it now infact. lol

Also, Dom was such a great character. That storyline with Isaac was so well done and so painful. Then he got a really lovely love story with Lofty (Dofty was their ship name) which the show inevitably messed up cause SOAP but for awhile he was happy, but I've always loved David.

McShep would make more sense...I just hope Carter is kinder so himself soon, so they can be happy.

So we've had McDean, McHey, McNight - McCarter?? Very invested in this one. Have loved David Ames since his first days on Holby City . I KNEW they were bringing him to HO for JP so they best get their shit together asap. :)

Yes!! Is McCarter the official ship name we’re going with? I’ve seen some people using McShep which would fit in with JP’s other ship names. But honestly, I’m so invested in this storyline as well, I desperately need them to just be together already. It’s as bad as the wait for Chryed in EE was 😭 I’ve never watched Holby City so I had no clue who David Ames was before HO, but after someone commented that he was in it, I watched a video of Dom/Isaac’s storyline and nearly bawled. He’s such a good actor!

Watching @greys-abc and they just had the episode with the enraged, grieving widower who shot people in the hospital. The character development. The confusions. The relationship changes and developments. There were scenes that gave me big #holbyCity vibes especially Dofty vibes among other characters injuries when Fredrick raged through the hospital, though for different reasons. The confusion. Trauma. Drama. Death.

In a side note I'd like to add that I am still gutted how Holby destroyed the relationship, and Lofty character. Once again making Dom a victim, which is old. Dom is a kick ass surgeon but deserves someone to go home to, that someone should have been Lofty. Dofty was a great match, and that scene where they are together, with Fredrick was so emotive.

As much as I wanted the Dofty divorce, I'm still sad to see it end. I guess I'm mostly upset how depressing and sad the writers made their marriage after such a great build-up of their relationship. The story arc of Dom's loneliness and sadness will even be worse after divorce. Is Dom's whole purpose of a character to show that gay men can't truly find love and happiness? It's a demoralizing message. Even though it was part of a joke, my favorite quote of the year is, "My identity is based on not getting what I want." I feel like Dom fits that very well, and me also.

The end of dofty

So I started this tumblr page to talk about Dofty, and now it's the end. I've always been a big fan of Dom so I'll continue to watch to see the next chapter. I'm not happy about how they are ending, but I havent been happy with Lofty for all of 2019, so I shouldn't be surprised. Apparently LOVE isn't enough ( especially when one half of a ship decides to leave). I suppose I should be grateful that Holby didn't have Lofty run off with Helen, but I'm not sure what the point was in him choosing Dom, if only to decide 2 episodes later that they won't work long term ( and want different things). DOM DOESNT DESERVE ANY OF THIS. 🤣🤣💔💔
