Because I am obsessed with this man and not afraid to let everyone know. I think he’s a conventional playboy, but in a *tasteful* sense. I’d like to think he and Nancy hook up at least once and he sometimes sees her dad at international conferences, at which time he will shake his hand a little too firmly as a weird alpha male flex.

Also he lives at a hotel and a disgruntled maid will inevitably be tasked with changing those sheets, thereby continuing the cycle of cursed maids at Icicle Creek who eventually descend into madness, before experiencing intense visual and auditory hallucinations involving eggs and mysterious puppeteers.

Day 3 | Favorite Music | Haunting of Castle Malloy 

I think one of my favorite things about the Nancy Drew games is of course the wonderful music of each game. It really adds to the story, setting and characters that make these games truly remarkable. Anyway, replaying all the games I’ve been ranking each game, music and setting to see which games really are the best of the best.

While Haunting of Castle Malloy is one of the top 5 games for me, the music is the best in the series. It gets the theme of Ireland so well it just melts my heart! Let me break it down to how there are multiple versions of music throughout the game and why it’s the most diverse of all the games!

Ambiance Music: So this is the music that plays throughout the game. Like when you’re in the castle or creeping around the grounds. This music is beautifully haunting and captures the magic and mystery of Ireland. All the instruments are so true to the Irish culture as well as emitting a very sad and somber tone that matches the entire gameplay so so perfectly.

Pub Music (Ok not a pub because there is no alcohol, but this IS IRELAND PEOPLE): The Irish Pipe Band is so much different from the rest of the game which is why it is phenomenal! The pub is supposed to be completely different from the castle, with upbeat cheery band to play that you can dance a little jig too. 

The Last Song Playing During the End Credits: Finally, the final song (which only appears during the end credits too!) is wonderful combination of all the songs played during the game. It has the upbeat cheeriness of the pipe band but it’s made more on an epic soundtrack level like the ambiance music during game play. The game ends in a wedding! There has to be a song that would play at the end of a wedding that ties in all the pieces of the game together and my favorite track of the game.

(I am so so sorry I have not been keeping up with this challenge. Some days I just don’t feeling like doing anything so setting a schedule for myself can get difficult. Hopefully I can catch up soon!)

When Otto killed Toric

I definitely had my issues with Otto, especially after he murdered an innocent nurse but Toric was a disgusting, murderous, rapist, with no moral compass and I was so happy to see him get taken down but none other than the man he had been torturing for months.
