Ok, let's admit it, Fellini's Casanova is an embarassing piece of crap.

I just discovered that my favorite version of Frankenstein is available to watch legally and for free on Tubi in the US (and if you are outside the US but have a VPN that can be set to a US location). It's a two part mini-series from Hallmark released in 2004. (There was a different one from 2004).

This one is sometimes sold as a long movie or as the mini-series and features Luke Goss as The Creature and Donald Southerland as Captain Robert Walton.

This is the most faithful version to the book that I have ever seen. It was first recommended to me by Rowan Loughlin in 2012 and I have been grateful to them ever since.

I do think Donald Southerland was miscast as Snow. It's not his fault, he's a phenomenal actor amd he put his absolute pussy into it, but he just wasn't quite right for Coriolanus. Anthony Hopkins I think.

Danish actress, Sofie Gråbøl, known internationally as the sweater-carrying detective in the Nordic Noir tv-series Forbrydelsen (The Killing), turns 51 today.

I also like her film work, starting with a steamy role in Oviri, a biopic about painter Paul Gauguin’s lesser-known life in Denmark, starring Donald Southerland.
