30 Years of Donkey Kong ‘94 (1994 to 2024)

I really wish this game was talked about (or even referenced) more often because it’s literally the best classic era Donkey Kong game ever that brings all the elements together into a clever little Action puzzle game!

I miss Junior a lot, I wish they told us his whereabouts since he’s Cranky’s son & the current DK’s father! Just some new artwork of them for memory’s sake will even do! But anyways, I hope you enjoy the art I made as tribute! ✨

I have been seeing this particular trend for our comfort characters and I ended up doing it. Instead of my OCs, I picked my big three (my Smash Bros. mains). Bowser, Donkey Kong and Young Link have been around since Melee and I rarely do any pics with these three as I used to. But I still use them for Project Arcana.

Alright, here me out.

Let's say that the the Super Smash Bros. Cinematic Universe is happening! Super Mario/Donkey Kong/Yoshi, The Legend of Zelda, and Pokemon are all set to appear! (maybe Wario, Metroid, Star Fox, EarthBound/Mother, and F-Zero too if they somehow get movies or something)

BUT!!

Pokemon is repped by Ash Ketchum and his Pokemon, who all take on the roles of Pikachu, Pokemon Trainer, Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard, Lucario, Greninja, and Incineroar from the game. (Jigglypuff, the Pichu Bros(?), and Mewtwo will be there too)

I've been playing Donkey Kong 64 these days (another childhood game), and I remember how different were Kritters there, they were these slim and light green goofy crocodiles unlike their other designs in other games

That's why I decided to draw one of these baddies, with markers because I always wanted to do it. I thought it would be easy, but making the yellowish green part of this was so hard xp. I'm a bit rusty with the markers. But it's kind of neat I think
