So I’m obsessing over Squid Games like many are at the moment and the whole “Squid Games in America” thing got me thinking of games they could use. This is mostly just so I can voice my ramblings to people that don’t have the power to put me in therapy.
The obvious ones are Tag and Hide-and-Seek. They would be timed games and if you’re tagged or found you get killed off because you lost. This does require a guard to participate or maybe a robot that’s normal human size so that definitely makes them harder to do but they could probably do it if they try hard enough. Same goes for Sharks-and-Minnows and Bulldog. Both are similar enough they wouldn’t be done in the same year.
Capture the Flag and Dodgeball are other classics that they could do. If you get captured by the other team you die and obviously which ever team wins lives. Dodgeball would definitely be a good replacement for Red-Light-Green-Light as the starting game and Capture the Flag could replace the Tug-of-War.
Jacks is kinda like the Marble game for obvious reasons. Simon Says is simple, you fuck up you die with a time limit. Another one is BattleShip, not sure who else played this in gym but it’s a team game with a wall between the teams the goal is to hit the other teams players with out seeing them by throwing a ball over the wall and it ends when a team is fully eliminated.
Shoots-and-Ladders (or Snakes-and-Ladders) would work kinda like the Glass Bridge, you wouldn’t know where the shoot is until it’s too late. It would be timed if, you’re not at the top when time runs out you die. Shoots could lead to death or simply just another level depending on how high risk you think they’d make it.
The final game should be Double Dutch or Musical Chairs. Nice elimination style games, last man standing wins. Twister or Spoons would work too. Monopoly or Uno could work, but I think they would end in physical violence. Or Four Square to get it down to play Jenga, Rummicub, or Rummy. Maybe even Hot Patato. Connect Four determining the winner if it gets down to two.
As much as I love Heads-Up-Seven-Up I’m not entirely sure how it would work in this setting, however you’d probably die if you got it wrong up. Mao is entertaining to watch but would never work, but Ive seen it end friendships so it can end lives. Thumb War and Arm Wrestling aren’t “entertaining” enough it be anything but mini games. Telephone would have to be a mini game, same for Leapfrog. Never-have-I-ever could work.
Patty Cake and Say-say-my-playmate don’t have winners unfortunately but Red Hands/Slapsie technically does and would be the recruitment game. Cat’s Cradle or Hangman instead of Dalgona. Pass the Ring first team done lives. Twister would be hell. Charades and Pictionary as team games. The guards are just former customer service employees with guns. Those cup and string telephones are the only way the guards can communicate and they all hate it.
This isn’t even touching on actual sports and I’m ignoring most board games and card games because there are too many.

Powershell Sripts with Task Scheduler
In today's show, we wan na how save our powershell script to a file and then we're gon na run that file using a Windows scheduled task. So that way you can get an automated solution right. You want to play hooky, but still get your powershell scripts to run. This is the video for you, but first here's our intro [ Applause, ], [, Music, ] hi. My name is Shane Young with bold zebras. Those guys in today's show is all about taking your powershell scripts and saving them to a file. So then that way we can run them by a schedule task, so we'll walk through saving a file and then we're going to take and make that a scheduled task. We'Ll make it run every 5 minutes just so we can see it run, but it should give you all the mechanics that you need, so you can make more automated solutions right back when I was a full-time administrator where I was all about. How do I automate solutions? So it does the work for me. So I could you know work on my golf game played more solitaire. Look at funny cat videos on their net. Whatever it is you want to do.
I want to help you do it more with PowerShell and this video comes to us thanks to Kenny. I don't want to give Kenny's last name and where he's from, because I haven't heard back from if he wants to plug, but either way mystery Kenny. If you're out there as videos for you alright, this is a reminder that do you guys have questions leave me comments. Send me emails tweets that type of stuff Kenny asked just a great question. I was like man that'd, be a good topic for video, so I was like give me a day I'll pop the sales video for you, real, quick, not actually for him. I might undo his job, but I'm gon na show him all the foundational stuff I'm gon na show you guys at the same time, so leave me the stuff below and we can always hook up where it makes sense.
All right. That'S enough! Jibber-Jabber, let's just dive in by switching over here to my desktop and so on. My desktop I've just opened up the PowerShell ISE and I've just got a couple of quick lines that I wrote nothing complicated here right. You could do any script you want, but I just want to do something that would produce some output, so we could take a look at it. What did I do here? So I said git date and then write that out to a file named e colon demo. We'Ll call this log for video right, we'll rename it log for video text and append. So this going to get the current system date and then output it to a file called log for video in the second line, get PS Drive, says: kids, all the drives. All the file system drives on a machine and then it takes those, and it only gives us the ones that are the file system provided right.
Let'S run this real quick same seat, it looks like so highlight just that hit run, and so you can see it's like right. Your C Drive. You got a hundred six gigs free, your D Drive. You'Ve got almost nothing free e F, so it just runs the different system files. Now I could then take that and I kind of mess with so earlier. I ran out of time, but you could pipe this over to select and only select the particular properties you want or reality. If you're gon na make this, I try log it to an Excel workbook right via a CSV and we've covered all of those topics before in other videos, so check this out. If you're like yeah, that's what I want to do. Don'T worry. I'Ve covered how to write to CSV file, and I you know, format that you can control and uh translate from this.
So anyway, we're gon na take that output. We'Re gon na write that to log for video, also, okay, so append that so, let's run this whole thing one time and see what it should happen so say, run our script and we'll go over here and so there's a log for video just create us a File, if we double click on that, I'm gon na see that it walks Saturday February 10. That'S right dedication here, I'm making this video on a Saturday cuz, well dinners, not ready, and I had a few minutes. So I thought I'd make you video, but anyway, and then you can see, then it followed up here, and so, if we run it a second time when it would close, this run the script again boom. It ran again we'll double click on it, and so then now you can see there's another entry right. This was at 6:09 p.m. in 25 seconds. It took me 24 seconds to get around running in a second time and then there's all the same information. Anyway. We don't really care right.
This video is not about that simple little script. What this video is about is now that we've figured out the power shell that we want to run on a daily weekly hourly by minute basis. How are we going to take and automate that so the first step is we're going to take all this and we're gon na say, save and I've already saved this almost of a save as this time. But I must say this: the ecole and demo and I'm gon na call this video PS right, video, powershell, terrible name, but it works. Cuz i'll know what it was, you probably wouldn't say, save okay, so that was step one. We saved this PowerShell into a ps1 file. So if we look over here, there is a file, video PS and dot ps1. If I didn't type it and I should've, and so that type of file power show can run, writes PowerShell script file.
So, let's minimize this, let's minimize this and now, let's type in start aimless, do with spell tasks correctly. Let'S run the task scheduler now I will make this a little bit bigger. So I am NOT a task schedule guru, so I'm not going to try and tell you the intricacies of all the cool things you can do here. There'S a lot you can do here. What I'm more of the style of is, let's create a basic task. My basic kind of guy so we're going to create a basic task. Click a little link over here, we're gon na, give it a name and call it video automation. We could give it a description. Shane made.
This you'd probably want to make your description a little more descriptive, we'll say next, what's our trigger? How often do I want to run this? I want to do it daily, so we'll say next and then do you want recur every day. You know you can kind of get into really make these schedules anything you want, but we're just gon na go the simple recurs every day and we will do it in a six twelve, thirty, eight, alright, so one minute from now. Hopefully I get this done in one minute, so we'll say next what actions I want. I want to start a program so hit next so for program here. What you need to type in is PowerShell right and so PowerShell dot exe is in the system path. So it's just automatically gon na run, PowerShell dot, exe and then what we're going to do is we're going to pass the PowerShell dot exe de demo. What did I even name, this file? Eco land demo, video PS, PS, one video, PS, PS one.
So that says pirate PowerShell with that parameter which will run that script. Let me say next, it's like hey. Are you happy with all this? I am so we'll say finish now. It took me a minute earlier to figure out where they were hiding these right back to I'm not a PowerShell task edge or MVP, but if we double click on this guy, we then click on the task. Scheduler library in here you'll see my video automation script right, so we run at 6:12. Oh looks like it next run time: six, twelve, thirty, eight, alright! So it's coming got ta go faster, but if yours isn't showing up, I had this problem earlier today. Right, quick right here and then do a refresh and then you should absolutely see what you created right. Well, protip! I do know some things about task scheduler. So now, if we minimize this - and we wait just a few seconds - let's see six twelve.
Tumblr media
Oh, it looks like it might array: let's double click on it, so there's our six: nine, six, nine six, twelve thirty eight boom. It'S logged right! So now, tomorrow, at six twelve thirty, eight it's gon na run and put that in there and that's really all you need to know right now. We'Ve got a PowerShell script that is running on a scheduled task that we've set up. You can get into scheduled tasks right if we go back over here to task scheduler and you can right click on this guy and go to properties. And so then you can see there's a whole bunch of stuff. You can do here right. So if you need to do more complex things, but I'm not the right guy teaches and I can bother, but I've gotten you to a PowerShell script that will execute on a scheduled tasks.
I feel like my work is done, I'm starting to smell dinner. So hopefully this was the answer that Kenny was looking for and hopefully the answer you were looking for so Cammy other ideas down below you never know when your idea might turn into these videos so thanks and have a great day hey. It'S me again just a reminder, if you don't mind, click the old subscribe button over here. That always helps me out or if you want to work together, you can always hit me up through the bold zebras or, if really, what you want is some more of these power app videos which is probably what you want. Then the playlist is somewhere on the screen here. Alright, thanks have a great day.

20 Stay-At-Home Date Ideas For Couples
20 Stay-At-Home Date Ideas For Couples Harini Natarajan Hyderabd040-395603080 October 14, 2019
If you want a successful, fun marriage, one of the keys things you can do to keep the spark alive is to continue to date your partner, even after you are hitched. You need to prioritize yourself and set aside a date night every week to reconnect with each other and revive your feelings of love and romance. However, it is easier said than done.
Though all couples are aware of the wisdom of this advice, the execution can be difficult — especially when there are kids in the picture. Things may get crazy busy for you both, and it may be hard to fit a full date night on your schedules. Or you may be on a tight budget, and spending hundreds on a movie, dinner, or a babysitter isn’t possible. Maybe you have got a newborn, and you are just not ready to have a stranger watch her while you go out and have fun.
The key is to stop feeling like you have no options, and that date night cannot be done at all. Consider the “at-home date,” the best alternative possible. The concept is simple – if you are not able to go out, get creative, and come up with a super fun, one-on-one thing you both can do together without leaving the house. If you have little kids, your date can start the moment they go to sleep.
Here are some easy-to-plan, enjoyable, inexpensive at-home date ideas that you can try with your hubby or partner. The next time you can’t afford a night out or get a sitter, stay in, and have a romantic and fun evening at home.
At-Home Date Night Ideas
1. Date In The Dark
Shutterstock
The electricity going out can be a nightmare. No TV or WiFi? Why not turn this into a romantic date night idea? Light candles, play little games, tell ghost stories to one another – can there be anything more perfect than this stay-at-home date night idea? Get rid of your mobiles and other electronic devices and pretend that the electricity is out. Come up with creative ways to entertain yourselves. Here are some ideas:
Tell ghost stories and keep a flashlight turned on to add that creepy vibe.
Build a fort out of boxes and snuggle up.
Light the fireplace/grill and make s’ mores.
Make creative meals out of stuff in your fridge that may ‘go bad’ since there is ‘no electricity’ (an awesome way to clean out your fridge as well).
Play the guessing game. Or give each other items in the dark to feel and guess, and take turns.
2. Have A Game Night
Game nights are EVERYTHING! It’s one of the best ways to enjoy a date night at home. You can set out the cheese board, open a bottle of wine, and place bets. A little friendly competition between you both can get the sparks flying again in your marriage. Of course, if your partner tends to get a little too competitive, and the sparks may have a chance of turning into full-fledged fireworks, you would probably be better off trying a different idea.
Here are some stay-at-home date night game options:
UNO
Blackjack
Monopoly
Adult board games
Bananagrams
2 player card games
Rummy
Scrabble
Codenames: Duet
Cards Without Decency
Conversation starter games
War
Speed
Double solitaire
Classic board games
Chess
Backgammon
3. Play A Trivia Game
Shutterstock
Trivia game nights are amazing for at-home date nights. They help you to get to know each other better and have new conversation topics to discuss. It doesn’t matter how long you both have been together, games like this help you learn more about one another. You can get fun questions online or make a list of your own. Here are some ideas for questions you may ask:
What is their greatest fear?
If they could choose one personality trait of yours to get rid of, what would they opt for?
What is their least favorite food?
What is their favorite thing about you?
4. Convert Your Bedroom Into A Hotel Room
Staying at a posh hotel always feels luxurious. While it may not always be possible or in your budget, you can convert your room into a fancy hotel room for a romantic stay-at-home date. Here are some ideas for a date night at the home hotel room:
Start saving up sample sizes of fancy shampoos and body lotions and other skin care products. Most beauty stores and department stores are more than happy to provide them – you only need to ask. Put them in a pretty basket in the bathroom.
Turn on soft music and light a few scented candles
Put a bottle of champagne in a cute bucket of ice near your bed. You can also sprinkle flower petals on the bed and make some chocolate covered strawberries.
Get in bed and watch movies – pretend you are watching hotel pay-per-view.
Order food and eat it in bed with your bae.
Cook a simple breakfast in the morning. Serve it in bed, on a tray. Oh-so-luxurious!
5. Have A Tasting Party
Shutterstock
Organize a tasting party. Pick a theme – wine, whiskey, cookies, chocolate, or ice cream, and get a bunch of different options. To make it super fun, create ‘tasting booths’ with all the stuff needed for the tasting party and a clipboard to take notes. The sky’s the limit! You can also try a smoothie tasting party.
6. Organize An At-Home Spa Date
An at-home spa date can be very romantic as well as relaxing. Get into comfortable spa-style robes and slippers. Create your own body scrubs and face masks or get them premade. Draw a bath for two and throw in a nice bath bomb. Get a pitcher of water and infuse it with things like cucumbers, lemons, and mint. This is an amazing stay-at-home date night idea to do on a Friday, so you can begin your weekend feeling refreshed and relaxed.
7. Travel Inspired Theme Dinner
Shutterstock
This idea can be customized in so many ways! Choose a country you both have been wanting to travel to and then cook dinner inspired by dishes from that country. This idea is also a perfect way to channel your inner wanderlust when you are too broke to travel.
Some ideas to try:
France: Have a cheese platter and wine.
Japan: Make sushi together.
Greece: Feast on Greek salad, hummus, artichoke dip, olives, and feta.
Italy: Make homemade pizza or pasta together.
Mexico: Get your own make-your-own nachos, taco, or burrito bar.
8. Have A DIY Wine And Paint Night
Paint and Wine Nights can be fun, but they are pricey. Fortunately for you and your wallet, they are really easy to recreate at home. Look up painting tutorials on YouTube, buy some canvases and paints, and paint at home together for your date night. It does not matter if you are not artistic or your painting looks nothing like the original. Be creative and have fun.
9. Challenge One Another To A Cook-Off
Get competitive – it is a great relationship booster! Instead of the regular cooking food schedule, why not challenge one another to a cook-off? You can choose between an appetizer or dessert or pick a particular ingredient that each of you has to incorporate into whatever you both decide to make. For example, you can choose pickles, and each of you has to come up with a creative dish that requires pickles in some way or the other.
10. Organize An At-Home Date Night Picnic
Have a picnic! This is one of the best at-home date ideas. Go to the backyard and set up a yummy spread with a nice bottle of wine. Spend the day relaxing and cuddling under a blanket. If you can’t go out somewhere, why not bring the picnic home? You can also set it up in your living room or in one of the other rooms.
11. Play Interior Designer
Shutterstock
This is a cool budget-friendly date night idea. Choose a room in the house and redesign it together. Use items that you already have lying around the house and revamp a room. If you need inspiration, look up home designs in online magazines or Pinterest.
You will get to learn a lot about your hubby’s taste and style with this date night idea. If you are good at Photoshop, you can virtually recreate the room with your ideas and see what it will look like!
12. Have An At-Home Date At A Faux Bookstore
This is an easy date night idea to recreate at home. If you don’t already have a ‘reading’ corner with two comfy chairs, all you need to do is place two chairs next to each other with the table in the middle. Get yourselves a yummy hot drink and spend the next few hours going through a stack of books and magazines together! Book ideas for your date night:
Relationship magazines or books
Travel magazines or books
Old copies of Cosmopolitans – try the fun quizzes and go through the sexy tips
Mysteries – any cozy mystery series
13. Plan Your Dream Trip
Shutterstock
We all love to travel, but we can’t travel all the time. Thankfully, you can plan a date night to plan your dream trip together. Scout locations on Pinterest or Instagram or look through travel books. Try setting a budget and see what kind of trip you both can plan on that budget. You will be surprised by what you both can come up with when you are creative! You can even turn this into a competition – and see what type of trip each of you can plan with the set budget.
14. Set Up A Drive-In Movie – At Home
Instead of going for a regular movie night, make it exciting by taking it outdoors! This is a super fun option for dates at home. Simply take your computer outside and create a romantic little set-up to pretend that you are at an outdoor movie or a drive-in movie.
15. Create Your Couple Bucket List
Shutterstock
Get together and work on your ultimate couple’s bucket list during your date. Pen down all the places you want to travel, dates you want to try, experiences you both want to have together, etc. Take it a step further and schedule one item from your bucket list every three months for the rest of the year! You will be surprised at how many great conversations this activity will end up creating and the new things you will learn about your love.
16. Have A Karaoke Night
Karaoke is a fun at-home date idea! Sing your hearts out together to a playlist of all your favorite songs. You can also look for karaoke versions of songs on YouTube. Get some wireless mic, and get started! You can also search for YouTube videos of your favorite songs + lyrics and simply sing. This stay-at-home date idea is a great endorphin booster as well! Great for your relationship!
17. Write Each Other Love Letters
Add a little old-school romance to your stay-at-home date night and write each other love letters. You may share them right away or choose a pre-determined date to go through them. It’s so rare in this era to receive a personal letter of any kind – so it can feel really nice to have some love expressed towards you in writing.
18. Have A Video Game Competition
Challenge each other to video games that you have at home. However, this will be a great stay-at-home date night idea if both of you know how to play video games. However, you can always learn it together. Learning new skills and being able to teach each other something is a really amazing way to boost your connection and bond.
 19. Make Some Crafts Together
Shutterstock
Get creative together. It would be a really great bonding activity. Choose a craft or DIY project from Pinterest to create together during the at-home date night. Here are some ideas to try:
Draw portraits of one another.
Create a scrapbook.
Decorate or paint ceramic mugs.
Revamp an old piece of furniture.
20. Fight It Out
This is a superb date idea. Dates like these boost your adrenaline and dopamine, which are love mimicking hormones! This date night can actually give you butterflies in your tummy all over again!
Here are some ideas to try:
Pillow fight
Food fight
Water gun fight (best played in the backyard)
Whipped cream fight
Stay-in dates don’t require much time or money to plan and execute, but they do help in rekindling feelings of romance between couples. They help people reconnect with their partners. Things like cuddling up and watching a movie or engaging in a little love time once the children hit the hay are, of course, necessary every once in a while, but you also need to get a bit creative sometimes and come up with new things to do to keep the passion ignited. Happy dating!

How to Survive the World’s Longest Flights in Style
(Bloomberg) — Eight hours from Sydney to Singapore? It’s a doddle. 12 hours from Hong Kong to London? No sweat. With a high-tech assist from Airbus and Boeing, airlines are steadily pushing the boundaries of long-distance flying. Even the language is being redefined.
The new frontier is the “ultra-long range” flight, where globe-striding jets regularly tackle journeys of more than 16,000km (9,942 miles).
For passengers, that translates to 18-plus hours in the air. But for many business travelers, even those non-stop marathons prove the superior alternative to airport lay-overs halfway along the route.
Read: Qantas Tests 20-Hour Non-Stop Flights to See If Passengers Can Bear It
So if you’re in for the long haul, here’s the best way to handle it.
Singapore to New York (Singapore Airlines)
Average time: 18 hours 35 minutes
Singapore Airlines originally flew non-stop between Singapore and New York (to be technically correct, the Manhattan-adjacent Newark) from 2004 to 2013, until rising oil costs grounded its gas-guzzling Airbus A340 jets.
New fuel-efficient Airbus A350 jetliners helped tilt the economics back in Singapore Airlines’ favor, with the route restarted in October 2018. With SQ21 wheels-up from Singapore near midnight and reaching Newark around 6am, passengers see two long “nights” book-ending a brief sunrise near Japan.
Members of Singapore Airlines’ elite Solitaire PPS Club can make the best start to this marathon by visiting the SilverKris first-class lounge at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 to enjoy a few glasses of Piper-Heidsieck Rare Millesime 2002, which sells for around 300 Singapore dollars ($216) per bottle.
Surprisingly, there are no first-class suites on this flight: only 67 lie-flat business class seats and 94 premium economy recliners.

So how do you spend close to 19 non-stop hours in business class, short of a Stilnox-induced coma? Savvy travelers think ahead.
Singapore Airlines’ online Book the Cook service lets you choose from an extensive selection of meals before you fly. There’s a staggering 49 dishes which you won’t see on the in-flight dining menu, headlined by the ever-popular Lobster Thermidor but also embracing Singaporean, Chinese, Malay, Thai, Japanese, and Indian dishes.
Singapore Airlines’ smartphone app also lets you browse the in-flight video and music library ahead off your flight, to create a personalized playlist which is synchronized via WiFi with your setback screen once you step onto the plane. This is especially handy when you realize that from start to to finish, you could spend the flight watching all eight Harry Potter movies or listening to every song ever recorded by The Beatles, twice over.
Doha to Auckland (Qatar Airways)
Average time: 17 hours
The world’s second-longest flight sports the world’s best business class. This is the Qsuite, a bespoke Qatar Airways design with first class-style sliding doors.
For 17 hours, these wonderfully well-appointed suites become a cosy crib for relaxing or a private cocoon for sleeping. A staggered layout sees some seats facing backwards but positioned closer to the window rather than the door, which gives you more of a private jet feel. (If you want to select those seats when making your booking, choose the A or K seats at rows 1, 3, 5, 8 and 10.)
If you’re travelling with your partner, request one of the paired middle seats which can convert into a double bed, then slip into the airline-supplied PJs and snuggle down. The long flight also affords plenty of time to work your way through Qatar Airways’ extensive “dine on demand” menu, which lets passengers order any dish at any time during the flight — perfect if your timezone-addled stomach fancies a mezze platter breakfast at 4pm.
Perth to London (Qantas)
Average time: 17 hours
Sophisticated real-time flight planning software helps Qantas regularly shave slabs of time off the only direct flight linking Australia and the UK — it’s come down as low as 15¼ hours on the return London-Perth leg.
This is the world’s longest Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight, and will be joined in April 2020 by Qantas’ new Brisbane-Chicago service. It also benefits from one of the world’s best Boeing 787 business-class seats: A spacious “business suite” with plenty of room to spread out your work en route plus a 16-inch HD screen.
Thankfully Qantas is big on boxed sets. Downton Abbey is tailor-made viewing for the trip to London, although a special HBO channel includes entire seasons of high-profile shows such as Game of Thrones, Big Little Lies and Curb Your Enthusiasm. The Boeing 787’s cabin technology helps mitigate the effects of jet lag through lower effective altitude, higher humidity and cleaner filtered air, while Qantas has partnered with chef Neil Perry and Sydney University to develop a special in-flight menu of nourishing metabolism-friendly “wellness” meals.
Dubai to Auckland (Emirates)
Average time: 16 hours 30 minutes
With one of Emirates’ double-decker Airbus A380s featuring on the flagship New Zealand service, well-heeled passengers can find a haven in the superjumbo’s private first-class suites.
Emirates was among the pioneers of first class A380 cabins with sliding doors, and the first to add showers — two of them, exclusive to the 14 first-class suites — for a quick freshen-up before landing. Combine this with a “dine on demand” menu and there’s little reason to venture our of this rarefied realm.
Well, there’s one reason: head towards the rear of the superjumbo’s upper deck and you’ll find a cocktail bar where you can mingle with colleagues consigned to business class. Ask the bartender for the drink of your choice or have them surprise you with their favorite in-flight tipple, add some conversation and the hours will fly by.
