Just like Axl when angry, dedicating Double Talkin Jive... I had to do it with this drawing 😂... I started sketching it after work and spent two hours in fruitless efforts to a point where I angrily made some heavy strokes with the pencil until it turned black and torn it off... It left visible marks on the paper I drew it few hors later now for an hour 😅. Still not absolutely complete and correct, but at least closer to what I was looking from... Get in the ring you, drawing!!!! 😁

Today I discovered an online figure drawing database that’s free!! These drawings range from 30 second to 15 min studies. The site allows you to choose a baseline time to draw at (30 sec, 10 mins, an hour etc) or a class style drawing period!!! Where it’ll filter through a couple figures at 30 secs, a min, 5 mins, then 10 or more depending on if you choose a 30 min class style or more! The photos are some antique, some contemporary, you can choose nudes or clothes images, specific body parts or animals and all of that!!! And did I mention it’s free!!!! And full of incredible reference photos!!!! Though the body types could certainly be more inclusive unfortunately. Aaaand here's three Lera expressions as I don't have time to add a fourth... As mentioned in my previous post, these were part of an expressions exercise where I drew my characters emoting using stills of actors for reference. I used Amanda Seyfried as reference for these. I really love the one in the bottom left! She looks so much to how I imagine Lera to look. For these sketches I drew her with the fur that's supposed to mimic long hair as per her early designs. It was something inspired by the same feature in the vixen character designs in The Animals of Farthing Wood animated series, which I loved as a kid and still do now. I think I've found my new favourite colour to digitally sketch in! Also I am going to use actor references as much as I can to draw my character's expressions from now on. Today I had a go at practicing the basics of drawing using the new critical role series “Pub Draw”. So far I’ve done the first three sessions and am slowly finding my mojo for drawing again. I love the Pub Drawing series and hope one day I can join a live session so I can enter the contests.
