NEW DELHI: President Drupadi Murmu on Wednesday condoled the loss of lives in a bus accident in Uttarakhand's On you district and offered deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. At least 25 people were killed and 20 others injured when a bus carrying around 45-50 members of a marriage party fell into a gorge in Pauri district on Tuesday night. Prez Murmu in Ujjain today to lay foundation stone for six-lane highway project

President Droupadi Murmu will be in Ujjain on Thursday, where she will visit the Mahakaleshwar temple, attend the Safai Mitra Sammelan and virtually inaugurate a six-lane highway project.

On the second day of her Madhya Pradesh visit, the President is scheduled to visit Mahakaleshwar temple to offer prayers to Lord Shiva. Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will accompany her.

New Delhi: In a grand ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu appointed Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India for his third term. The BJP-led NDA secured its third consecutive term with 293 Lok Sabha seats, with BJP winning 240 seats.

30 Cabinet Ministers, 36 Ministers of State (MoS), and 5 MoS with independent charge from the BJP and its allies in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) also swore-in during the event. The President administered the oaths of office and of secrecy to the Council of Ministers.
