On March 10th, veteran producer Debbie Durkin hosted her 17th annual ECOLUXE Pre-Oscars Luxury Lounge to benefit Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue, at the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. To celebrate the film world's biggest night, this high-end, innovative, Covid-safe, private event (created and produced by Durkin Entertainment) was executed smoothly, even in the face of a strong rainstorm -- an engaging and memorable experience featuring sustainable brand partners, award nominees, celebrities, and media/VIP guests.

The 2023 edition of the ECOLUXE Pre-Oscars Celebrity Luncheon and Luxury Lounge curated a destination experience that connected purposeful lifestyle brands with social impact, health and wellness, environmental causes, stars, press, pop culture influencers, world class athletes, music artists, film producers, TV networks, industry VIP’s, and more. On Friday, September 9, 2022, the ECOLUXE "Endless Summer Festival" Experience honored the best of TV during Primetime Emmys weekend and was a charity fundraiser benefiting spcaLA. EcoLuxe Lounge is a luxury experience created by Debbie Durkin, LA's leading purposeful TV/Film product placement producer, and this month's event in honor of television's biggest night was fun, festive, and first class. In addition to pampering by health and wellness brands, an ECOLUXE Golden Metaverse Experience by BSW, and sustainable activations making a social impact, the event featured a formal lunch for all attendees in the Beverly Hilton’s beautiful Wilshire Gardens. The Beverly Hilton’s Executive Chef served the curated luncheon (which was truly incredible), and the icing on the cake (literally) was an array of delectable desserts. Plus, to everyone's delight, the infamous handcrafted Donut Wall provided scrumptious snacks throughout the day!

In addition, ECOLUXE attendees received an invite to the Luxmary Handbags Sip N Shop event on September 10th at their retail store in Burbank. EVENT REPORT: Debbie Durkin’s ECOLUXE Pre-Oscars Luxury Lounge; 2022 Edition Returns to Beverly Hilton Hotel with Festive, Fun Outdoor Event

LA’s leading sustainable producer, Debbie Durkin, hosted her annual Pre-Oscars EcoLuxe Lounge on March 25th, two days before the 2022 Academy Awards. The exclusive event (a private, invitation-only suite honoring this year's Oscar Nominees and the Awards) was held at the Beverly Hilton in their outside gardens area, with celebrities, VIPs, media, and (as always) excellent vendors, showcasing a range of fabulous products and services (see below). Guests also enjoyed fabulous food from the Hilton -- a copious Buffet Brunch that is a hallmark of Debbie's EcoLuxe events at the hotel. The EcoLuxe ambiance was (as always) warm, friendly, and quite lively, and a lovely time was had by all in attendance.

With a COVID-safe, fun, and all-encompassing luxury ‘Walk-Thru’ concept, Debbie Durkin proudly returned to The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA for her ECOLUXE Pre-Oscars Luxury Lounge to honor award nominees, directors, producers, screenwriters, other VIP talent… and more!

Here is the big question all outgoing (as in love going out) Angelenos - especially event planners - want to know: when can we start hosting and attending special events and parties again? Is it safe (like, really safe) to do so?

The good news is that we may finally be getting an answer, thanks to Debbie Durkin, LA's leading sustainable creative producer and one of the nation's leading awards-season event experts.

Ms. Durkin decided to show the way for LA - and the rest of the country - by producing a fun and innovative drive-thru (yes, DRIVE thru!) EcoLuxe Lounge and Endless Summer Festival in Honor of the annual Primetime TV Awards. This unique and creative drive-thru event (arguably the only one of its kind during TV awards season) took place in front of the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel on the Friday before the 2020 Emmys.

By utilizing a safe and groundbreaking Drive-Thru concept, the 14th annual EcoLuxe Endless Summer Festival was able to take place (honoring TV award nominees and featuring actors, directors, producers, VIP talent, and select media as attendees), while other events planned for TV Awards Week were either postponed or cancelled.

The eco-friendly luxury event, honoring California Firefighters, featured several innovative sponsors, including:

  ...and last but not least...

§ The Beverly Hilton Hotel Celebrity Brunch-in-a-box To-GO!

In case you were wondering, this EcoLuxe event was very safe, with strict rules for mask wearing and distancing. The drive thru aspect made sure no one was crowding the exhibit booths. Attendees spent most of the time in their cars, and hopped out briefly at each booth to meet exhibitors (at a distance) and get some cool gifts. 

One of the exhibitors (Meraki Allure) even made special EcoLuxe branded facemasks especially for the event, for all attendees to enjoy (combining comfort and protection in one stylish mask).

While the cars may have been moving slowly, Debbie is hoping the event industry will start moving faster, in the sense of starting to do more live events -- as long as proper safety measures are followed. As Debbie explained, "I don't want to live the rest of my life behind a computer monitor. We set precedent for the rest of our nation to get back to business by #EventResponsibly - I licensed that hashtag!"

Ms. Durkin's event honored California Firefighters. While they were unable to attend due to battling the ongoing fires, event posters (displayed prominently in the driveway as attendees drove through) included the hashtag #thankyoufirefighters, and attendees were encouraged to use that hashtag in their social media posts.

Once again proving her excellence at producing wonderful awards-season events, veteran producer Debbie Durkin hosted another superb EcoLuxe Pre-Oscars Lounge on March 2nd, just two days before this year’s Academy Awards. The exclusive event (a private, invitation-only suite honoring the Oscar Nominees and Academy Awards) was held at the Beverly Hilton, with many celebrities and VIPs attending and meeting some excellent vendors, as well as enjoying libations and an incredible buffet brunch that has to be seen (and tasted!) to be believed. The EcoLuxe ambiance was, as always, extremely friendly and welcoming to all guests, and a great time was had by all.

LA's leading sustainable producer, Debbie Durkin, hosted her 11th Annual EcoLuxe Pre-Oscars Lounge/Party inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel Wilshire Ballroom (after being rained out of the outdoor Wilshire Gardens). Champagne and celebrities dazzled as nothing that day could "rain" on the festivities honoring the 2018 Oscars. Hilton executive Chef Alberico Nunziata rolled out his glorious European Champagne Brunch while DJG and family (who flew all the way from the UK) spun amazing tunes to lift everyone's spirits.VIP guests were gifted fabulous luxury products from a range of excellent vendors.

These included the Nordic line Madara Skincare (made with birch tree water), and Magic Mud charcoal teeth whitening, toothpaste and mouthwash.

Other vendors gifting guests at the EcoLuxe event included Octovie Skincare brushes (“A Mini Spa in the Palm of Your Hand!”); custom handmade-in-the-USA leather goods from Sandast; and autographed prints from LA-based Pop Culture artist Rolland Berry.

Some of the notable celebs and stars who attended the excellent EcoLuxe event included Academy Award winner Cloris Leachman, producer David Permut (a 2017 Best Picture Nominee for "Hacksaw Ridge"), Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe (Germany) and Lady Victoria Hervey with "It" girl Georgia Toffolo (England), "CSI Miami” star Sofia Milos, “Back to the Future" star Claudia Wells, former NFL Olympian Willie Gault, "Shameless" actor Scott Michael Campbell, ET's Carly Steel, "True Blood"’s Carolyn Hennessy, Drew Seeley and wife Amy Paffrath, and CBS Host Suzanne Marques. While treating guests to a fabulous party, the EcoLuxe event also raised awareness for their Charity Partner WOW Voices (With Our Words, Inc.), a youth development nonprofit from Stockton, California that inspires literacy and artistry to raise awareness about the planet. At-risk students transform eco-themed ideas from stars in the entertainment industry into original slam poetry.

Lifestyle Brands & Stars Shine At Debbie Durkin’s 2017 Sundance EcoLuxe Lounge

The first weekend of Sundance 2017 just took over Park City, Utah. As usual, it was a blur of red carpet film premieres, parties, and celebrity gifting suites. There were many brand marketing opportunities for companies, but one celebrity event stood out as a promotional powerhouse: Debbie Durkin’s 10th annual Sundance EcoLuxe Lounge. Taking place at Blue Iguana on Main Street, EcoLuxe Lounge featured must-have gifts, an info booth for Shriners For Children Medical Center, a special Choices Recovery Media Center hosted by The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Gretchen Christine Rossi, and much more.

Debbie Durkin’s EcoLuxe Lounge was definitely the top spot for Sundance film stars and enthusiasts to network, learn about fab lifestyle brands, and enjoy tasty eats. At the special Choices Recovery Media Center, RHOC’s Gretchen Rossi told Sundance attendees about America’s growing problems with addiction and ways to help those who are struggling. Stars like Christina Milian and Jason Ritter also loved learning about Shriners For Children’s Medical Center, which is opening a new facility in Pasadena, CA, in July 2017. Shriners promoted how they help serve children, heal kids, give hope and change lives.

EcoLuxe Lounge also featured live performances by indie music artists, upbeat tunes by Vanderpump Rules star DJ Mike Shay of DAT DOPE GROUP, and delectable, modernized comfort food by Executive Chef Dean Hottle from Snake Creek Grille in Heber, Utah. The gift lounge attendees also went gaga over the non-GMO hot oatmeal bar provided Modern Oats, which featured RePurpose Compostables‘s plant-based flatware. For those in need of an energizing caffeine kick, Park City Coffee Roaster provided their fresh roasted coffee.

Sundance stars also flocked to EcoLuxe to have a drink and network with other influencers. Tito’s Vodka provided a tasty BLOODIES Bar featuring their gluten-free vodka and TSINGTAO‘s extraordinary beer. Utah’s top floral designer, Betsy Borden of Dancing Daisies Floral, also created a spectacular eco-mountain forest wall installation that provided the perfect photo backdrop for star attendees. VIP guests also loved CMFR Canada‘s high-fashion winter coats (presented by Canadian Olympian Mark Peros) and Barefoot ECO Outfitters‘ vintage-inspired, eco-chic mountain apparel.

At the lounge, Episcope also premiered their new global app that offers writers tools to get projects picked up (perfect for aspiring screenwriters). Licensed Utah physicians from WholeHealth Medical Group also administered hangover, altitude, and anti-aging IVs in a “Wellness Detox Spa” for those in need of replenishing from the previous night’s festivities. Select stars also walked away with high-end skincare essentials by SPA’lking About It Beauty Spa, as well as luxury resort stays at the ultra-private luxury 5-star Le Soleil d’Or Resort Cayman Brac – Cayman Islands. For their trip, Chariot Travelware pampered stars with their high quality luggage featuring unique, trendsetting designs.

The big name guests also raved about other charity and lifestyle brand sponsors in attendance, such as AutismFoundation.org, ColourPop Cosmetics, Anchor Almond Butter Toffee, and John Paul Pet Awapoochi Shampoo. In all, Debbie Durkin’s EcoLuxe Lounge definitely stole the spotlight at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and helped increase brand awareness for all of the companies in attendance. The lounge also further strengthened Durkin’s reigning title as the queen of eco-friendly and chic gifting for the stars.
