i wanna say i have this same issue with rimworld p€doph!l!@ and it bugged me so much that i tried to find a mod to fix it but the only things i could find were articles about rimworlds weird ass attraction system (where female pawns prefer people their age but with male pawns they prefer them young as possible 🤮) and i did finally find a mod that allowed me to alter age of consent/dating...
to lower it.
i fucking hate everything ever

So often when we think we've got something worked out or decided about our system it just makes us feel bad for a while, and then falls through. I think it happens because one or two parts feel like they've worked out or decided that thing, but it's just them who think that or like it, then we switch and now the fronter just knows about this discovery or decision but doesn't really understand it. They know that we were thinking this thing but don't really understand or agree with how we came to that idea. But maybe they don't realise that that's what is bothering them, or they don't want to upset the part that decided that thing so they just sit with it and feel bad for far too long.
idk, it's kind of defeating sometimes. feels like every time we feel like we know something, it just falls apart so quickly. we do make progress, i know, but it's hard to see sometimes.

I really like how a lot of the protoframes got the warframe type that doesn’t suit their personality well like Arthur keeps fucking off on his own and would be better equipped as a sniper where he doesn’t have to be around people and Quincy could definetely kick ass with a sword and would thrive with being in the thick of things and Aoi seems to have a high EIQ and is good at coordinating multiple people at once and Eleanor would rather be throwing trucks and cars around. I don’t know how well Amir would work as a healer tho but it would give him a concrete sense of purpose and help him feel less insecure about his position in the team and Lettie would definitely benefit from not being under the pressure of keeping everyone alive and suffering from severe compassion fatigue as a result. It’s funny how they all got the batch that works against their personality the most (at least at a surface level because they’ve definitely got their own strengths that work well with what they’ve got, they just need like. Character growth)

do you have recommendations for how to link up with local queers in a very very conservative and very very rural place? looked up on centerlink and the closest places are several hours away. through eiq there's only one place within a half hour drive, and it's a tattoo/piercings place, not a cafe or anyplace i could really hang out. i feel so isolated and alone and surrounded and i just don't know what to do
Really, truly, the best I have for you is to call those places. I know they're several hours away. They know it. Ask them what they would do if they lived where you are.
You need to find someone a little closer to whereever you are who knows the barest minimum little bit about what it's like out there. I can't tell you where to look because we're hidden in different places all over.
The tattoo place on EIQ: are the proprietors on social media? DM them and ask. The worst they can do is say no.
Good luck.

@paramounticebound gets a random starter from me because reasons!
Something must have gone wrong somewhere along the lines.
Ka'anh had managed to reach the hangar - managed to fight his way through dozens of his own kind, sent after him to catch the fugitive and make him suffer for the consequences of not being enough - and even reached one of the many shuttles; How his body still carried his weight at that point he didn't dare to question.
Perhaps he'd just been blessed with an impossible large amount of luck, allowing him to close the doors and start the shuttle before the military was able to catch up with him - he doesn't believe in luck, and yet there's no other reason that explains how he even got out, away into the universe, the darkness of space.
But where luck brought him away from his planet, misfortune decided to intervene, it seemed. The last thing he remembers are the blinking lights of his vessel, alarms blaring from left and right, his shuttle getting shaken and pulled on by forces he'd never experienced before.
A bright light, and then...
A grunt escapes him, followed by a moan that comes from somewhere deep within his core; Pain shoots through him like a bullet, from head to toe and back up, and he squeezes his eyes shut as the taste of sand infiltrates his mouth.
Ka'anh's here, all of a sudden. Somewhere else, somewhere he hasn't been before, stumbling away from his crashed shuttle into the nothingness of what seems to be a vast desert ahead. The wind is merciless, but at least it's breathable; His body burns from the scorching heat, his heart racing due to blood loss and the injuries he's sustained both from his previous escape and the crash on this foreign planet.
A mixture of sweat and blood drips along the curve of his forehead, into his eyes - he blinks it away, spits crimson into the orange sand and continues to move forward... one step at a time. One, one, one, one...
He's alone, he guesses, lost somewhere where there's only the horizon visible at the edge of the world. But then he spots something else... something that looks equally as destroyed as his own vessel, most likely crashed in a similar fashion he has hours ago.
There's a body lying in the sand, on its stomach, close to the mountain of ripped steel. Ka'anh is armed, thank god he thinks, and pulls his bio-coded gun as he steps closer. One step at a time...
The image in front of his eyes turns triple from the pain and he grunts, but keeps standing. His nostrils burn, his body close to giving up, but he has to... he has to---
The gun is pointed at the foreign body, the head that's turned away from him. Raven hair is all he sees, no features, nothing that can tell him whether the other individual is even alive. How did this person end up here, he wonders - and why did their ship went down so close to my own...?
Tumblr media
"---Tra!" (Hey), Ka'anh shouts after a while - the harsh wind swallows his voice, so he clears his throat, coughs and spits before repeating himself: "Tra, eiqe!" (Hey! You!)
He wonders if the other is alive - whoever that person is. Appears to be male, that's all he can tell, judged by the shape of the body, but... there's not much else he can work with - not unless he steps closer. He won't, not yet.

And if you're thinking to yourself "damn i wish WE had a version of this so I can know what businesses I should patronize" there's an app called Everywhere is Queer where queer-owned and queer-friendly businesses can register.
Aside from EIQ, you can also just look up Black-owned businesses in your area online.
Neither of these guarantees you're patronizing non-conservative businesses, of course, no community is a monolith; but it's a starting point.
Apparently there’s a website called Public Square where conservatives register their businesses to identify themselves as “anti-woke” so other conservatives can find them. I just thought I would share in case anyone wanted to put their zip code in and learn which local businesses to avoid.

How to Stay Ahead in the Market with ESG, Sustainability, and Climate Change Strategies
In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, organizations must adapt to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) expectations, sustainability initiatives, and the growing challenges of climate change. Companies that integrate these factors into their core business strategies not only comply with regulations but also position themselves for long-term success. Implementing robust ESG, sustainability, and climate change strategies can provide a competitive advantage, improve brand reputation, and drive growth.
To stay ahead in the market, businesses must first understand the importance of ESG principles. Environmental responsibility, social impact, and strong governance frameworks are increasingly becoming decision-making factors for investors, consumers, and partners. By committing to sustainable practices, such as reducing carbon emissions, improving resource efficiency, and ensuring ethical labor practices, organizations can align with growing market demands. Furthermore, companies that demonstrate a proactive approach to climate change and sustainability are often seen as more innovative and future-ready, making them attractive to both customers and investors.
A key strategy for staying ahead is leveraging data and technology to measure and track progress. Platforms like LRQA’s EiQ, which provides supply chain intelligence, help businesses assess and improve their sustainability practices. These tools allow companies to monitor their ESG performance in real time, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to optimize their strategies. By regularly evaluating ESG metrics and integrating sustainability into business models, companies can achieve greater resilience, reduce risks, and uncover new opportunities.
Ultimately, organizations that prioritize ESG, sustainability, and climate change strategies are not only meeting current market demands but also preparing for the future. By taking a proactive approach, businesses can create value for stakeholders, contribute to global sustainability efforts, and position themselves as leaders in an increasingly conscious world.
