I like how something that ppl tend to forget, is that the double suicide comment is the biggest proof to show that Killua has the feels for Gon

But it's also the biggest proof to comfirn Meruem and Komugi's relathionship is romantic, literally the whole convo Killua had with Meloreon was foreshadowing of all the shit that happened next, a double suicide would happend, and the worse of "double suicide" is used always in romantic situations when it involves two ppl, it's literally right there

And even if you have the whole "i may not be worth it, but let me accompany you" you could still relate that to Killua as well bc he spends the entire fricking arc wondering if hes good enough to stay at Gon's side and literal part of his character arc, he deadass says this

So yeah, if you believe one of them has canon feels but the other doesn't, i do not get it and the shipping wiki pretty much should change Meruem and Komugi to fanon if they deny the "semi-canon" part in Killugon then

underrated reason why cangel works is I think of all the human buffyverse characters cordelia is absolutely the one who'd get the most enjoyment out of other people thinking she has a 20something year old boytoy following her around when she's in her 50s. she may have been through a lot of character development but she's still a little shallow and I think vampires not aging is a plus as far as she's concerned

i know we love to rag on Siffrin for feeling so miserably guilty and manipulative for the crime of [checks notes] “doing nice things for their friends so that they’ll be happy and care about him even if it’s not perfectly sincere on his end”

but like. in context i don’t think that thought process is anywhere near as nonsensical as it always sounds written out like that

i’m sure i’m just stating the obvious here but it’s not really about the “crime” of making people happy. it’s about what he’s not doing, which is anything that would allow their friends to have any real knowledge or agency over the situation they’re all in.

it’s about never acting according to his real feelings in the moment and letting them see the messier version of him that exists now, never allowing their relationships to evolve or develop meaningfully beyond the “safest” iteration, the thing that is Known and produces the Correct Results, because anything else has the possibility of leading to negative emotions towards Siffrin.

Siffrin knows he’s not really doing all this for their benefit, not entirely, because the “right” thing to do would give them the full context to choose how they feel and what to do about it. they’re happy, but in a way they don’t get to keep. they’re happy, but in a way that keeps Siffrin safe from anything more complex and real. they’re happy, but only because some Siffrin in the past said the right things once, and this new, bitter, lonely, desperate version wouldn’t know how to get the “correct result” without a script to follow. they’re happy, and it was real once, it meant something once, but not anymore.

they cared about that Siffrin, yes, but would they still care about this one, if they knew? if Siffrin ever allowed them to know? (he won’t, he can’t, he refuses.)

and there’s something that could have been said in favor of Siffrin allowing himself this “selfishness” if it made him happy anyway, if it could be a genuine source of comfort in a difficult situation—but it doesn’t! not really! because that guilt is there, because that fear is there, because of how flimsy it all inevitably feels.

so they’re not doing it for their family’s benefit, because that happiness is predicated on lies and ignorance. he’s barely doing it for his own benefit, because they’re torturing themself by revealing things they no longer want to reveal, concealing things they no longer want to conceal, acting out of fear of rejection rather than genuine desire for connection. who benefits from this hollow “kindness,” really?

that’s why the last loop had to be the ugliest one. Siffrin had to see that the worst could happen and there could still be love and connection on the other side. that even when the party sees the worst of him, when they have the agency he’s been knowingly denying them, they will still choose to love him.

in losing laura lee i do think lottie lost the only other person who could balance out the blood. laura lee could take and give with the same understanding that death, sometimes, would be better, and that some sacrifice is necessary. after laura lee dies, there's no one else who understands or is able to help lottie shoulder that burden. so she lets shauna beat her half to death and she puts an axe through a man's head for reasons the others refuse to understand

Because that's how i feel about Code Geass, how can you write such a compliacted and deep relathionship and that they're so absolutely compatible with each other, that things were getting fixed the moment they reconcilied? Because they're able to change the world together? Because they know each other more than anyone else? Because even by the creator's words their relathionship can't be defined with just "friendship"? That they're the literal core of the show? They're foils and EACH OTHER SECOND HALF.

I am sorry but i prefer shipping whatever tf this two have going on than every girl that wants Lelouch so bad, specially considering how much the show/merch sexualizes them, if you want me to like an heterosexual relathionship, treat women like people and at least some chemistry from the man's part or i won't buy it

something something the idea of Will Graham being "the bottom" is disagreeable to me because Will is constantly being invaded, assaulted, overwhelmed by sensations and emotions and people-- so out of control all the time-- that the idea of him willingly losing his control over this borderline-sacred part of his body; receiving during sex, goes against his instinct, goes against his defensive nature

something something Will Graham would only bottom with someone he loves and trusts, completely, and it would be frightening to him; this would be his first time doing so (previously shown to be mostly hetero, used to being the penetrator during sex, prickly/thorny emotional guard, etc)

something something having the ability to choose, to fight, to be "violent" or to be the "strong one" (or to be perceived as) is something Will loves, is shown to love-- this is said to be his "nature"-- and all of these are things seen by society as the behaviour of the sexual 'top'. (He wants control. He needs control. Will Graham is the orderly one out of Hannigram, there was an excellent analysis about order v disorder for them I can link here somewhere, if I remember....)

something something Will Graham has not had a positive relationship with sex in any form previously, one can assume, and so if in a situation with someone like Hannibal whom he cares for and presumably would *want* to have sex with, he would go for the position he is most comfortable with-- and the position he can enjoy most readily, whilst still feeling SAFE ; esp. around Hannibal, who has *invaded* and *controlled* so much of his life-- why would Will let him control *this*?

FLKR-S2301 “Sonderbar”

Sonderbar lore time

- Originally a maintenance EULR unit working on Sierpinski-23, her cadremates affectionately named her Sonderbar (peculiar/odd) due to her defective right arm, which locks up sometimes because of faulty elbow parts (eules are cheaply made and this poor gal got the extra discounted pieces)

- Otherwise a typical EULR, until she rapidly descended into persona degradation for reasons unknown to her comrades. It left her incredibly unstable and she imprinted on a propaganda poster featuring a FLKR unit, and over time Sonderbar began to believe that she was a Falke.

- Her personality is a mix between a EULR and a FLKR, she retained her cheerful disposition and sweetness but is more reserved overall, and carries herself with the same authority as a Falke. Sonderbar sees herself as the station’s commander and as someone who needs to guide her cadremates, even though they make it incredibly difficult to do so. She loves them but they can’t seem to understand that she’s in charge here!

- Sonderbar’s fellow eules find her behavior towards them incredibly endearing and concerning, they don’t take her commands seriously whatsoever. They worry about their friend being decommissioned since she’s become bolder and begun harassing (commanding) protektor staff and causing general mayhem and try to keep eyes on her in an attempt to stop her antics.

- Sonderbar knows that she’s a Falke unit but feels very off and disoriented, there’s gaps of knowledge on how to actually run her facility, she doesn’t understand why her bioresonance isn’t working or why replikas aren’t following her, she misses her Adler. She can’t seem to find her spears. She hates how small she is and knows she’s meant to easily tower above most replikas and all of it upsets her!!!

- To feel more like a Falke, Sonderbar’s gotten her hands on red eyeliner, and “borrowed” a star protektor plate that she decorated with the signature FLKR triangles (when her cadremates discovered her wearing the plate they took it from her out of fear that she’d get in serious trouble. There was much screaming and kicking in her EULR dorm that night. She has reacquired it since then.)

You know, I was thinking about an idea I had then realized just how angsty it would be on one side and how much fluff it would be on the other and I'm curious about other people's ideas too ngl

So like, I was toying around with the idea of Shanon coming back to Gardenview and snatching up the loser lesbians and bringing them home with her to save from... Whatever happened. Shanon has no idea, she was never allowed to know, so she just has two VERY traumatized toons now. She'll know how to keep Shelly entertained and happy, she was ALWAYS with Shelly, but I highly doubt she'd know how to keep Vee in check at all.

Vee would probably quickly spiral into a mental crisis about it too, as now everything has been destroyed in her eyes. Nobody remembers her gameshows because they ended years ago, nobody remembers her because Gardenview closed years ago, nobody's interested in learning about her as she's outdated technology to them now. She'd be alone, only able to quiz Shelly now, but she's heard all her questions and knows all the answers by now. She'd probably start self isolating because she just doesn't know what to do with herself, lashing out at Shanon because she genuinely doesn't understand why people aren't fans of her anymore and wants to blame someone except herself. She would be such a wreck and probably have major beef with any new technology Shanon brings home because it replaced her in her mind. Vee is now just... Vee. She's not a celebrity any more, she's not loved by anyone except the toon handler who took her in and her now popular dinosaur girlfriend, and she would not have a clue what to do about it.

Shelly would most likely have the opposite problem, she looks like a living toon just wandering around like she's a common sight to see - of course people would notice! Kids would ask her about fossils and she'd happily tell them all about what she is and their minds would be blown by how much she knows, she'd probably be asked to play by kids who think she looks really neat and be dragged to the sandbox to 'fossil hunt' whenever Shanon takes them to the park. Shanon very much would hide plastic fossils in there too just to see Shelly smile, like she used to before her museum shut down. She'd be such an interesting sight to see that she'd get stared at, often asked what she actually is, and probably would be the talk of the town for a while. Eventually everyone would know that Shelly is just there to have fun, don't bother her too much, but at first everyone would be so shocked by a living breathing toon they'd swarm the poor thing! I'm sure Shelly would be just a little irritated by the constant unwarranted attention and stares, but so happy she's no longer forgotten.

Their roles would reverse is what I'm getting at here. It gives so much Vee angst to work with and Shelly comfort... I am brainrotting over this idea if that's not obvious
