If you ever go to the Valencian Country and they offer you an esmorzaret ("little breakfast", from esmorzar -"breakfast"- with the diminutive suffix -et), don't be fooled, there's no -et in it.
Valencians are known for using the diminutive suffix quite liberally, and this is definitely one of those cases. The diminutive can mean small, cute or show affection. In this case, it must be ironic humour.
The esmorzaret refers to a big breakfast or brunch that starts with some smaller appetizers like tomato and onion salad, olives, peppers, pickles, crisps/chips, cacau del collaret (local variety of peanuts), white lupin beans, omelette, even sausage, among others. The central element is a thick sandwich (and what a sandwich! this is a whole art form). All of it accompanied by either wine mixed with sprinkling water or by beer. The ritual ends with a cremaet, a cup of espresso coffee with a drizzle of burnt rum (the alcohol leaves when it's burned) and aromatized with cinnamon, coffee beans and lemon peel.
Back in the day, this was done because most people had hard physical jobs in the fields. Nowadays, it has become a social event.

As the crowd gathered, one very wealthy - looking one ran forward, grabbed the hellkin swiftly and slapped him on the back of the head. "Dammmit Skip, I told you not to go out without me, you're supposed to carry my medicines!"
A whisper in the ear soon followed of... "follow me, my friend, I'll get you safely out of here, just play along."
Then to the crowd the wealthy one shouted coldly. "Don't worry, you won't see my servant without escort again." -- Anon Guest
The blow didn't even connect. The rich one must have used some minor spellwork to create the sound of the slap. That, more than anything, convinced Esmorzar that this plush person. Might just be on her side. Besides, one against one gave her better odds than one against a mob.
So Esmorzar bowed and scraped and answered to 'Skip' and m'lady'd her saviour. All the way to a surprisingly staid hostel with humble decor and staff who had apparently seen everything. Or were paid not to make a fuss at a dirty Hellkin wandering their halls. The plush lady lead Esmorzar to a plain room that was still miles better than any hole that she had sheltered in.
Her ladyship's first question was not, "Who are you?" nor, "What are you doing in this town?" but, "Have you eaten today?"

Honestly the best part about living in a bilingual area is being able to mix and match the words from each language when it's funny
A lot of non-normative Valencian speakers (normally older people, as learning/using it was illegal before the 80s) sprinkle spanish words in their valencian, and honestly that and the opposite case are quite charming
My favorite example is that in my friend group when you say/have something very suddenly/conveniently/randomly you say "me lo he sacado de la butxaca", ("I took it out of my pocket"), but the whole sentence is in spanish except butxaca, which is valencian for pocket, because bolsillo, the word in spanish, is all soft noises, (the ll is a y sound) so you use the valencian word because the tx sound (ch sound) is stronger, so it gives more impact to the sentence, like "sí, me lo he sacado de la butxaca"
Honestly a lot of people here don't speak Valencian but they still don't realize how much of their life is in that language, so they diminish it, but they'll say esmorzar instead of almuerzo, or patio for recess whereas that's because pati is used in valencian/catalan, while most spanish-speaking regions say recreo
idk, just rambling bc I'm studying spanish and valencian at the same time as the syntax and exam questions are very parallel so I can study both at the same time but lol
