Metro RP2350 take 5 🔄🌟🤞
Sometimes mistakes are made in prototyping; that's why they're prototypes. The error in rev D was funny: while making the QFN80 footprint, the pins got placed clockwise rather than widdershins. Not surprisingly, that board didn't come up at all, so here's a full rip-up and reroute, with the correct pinout this time! Fingers crossed. Hopefully, this is the final revision, and we can move on to other RP2350 boards we have cooking.

What are Embedded systems?
Embedded systems are used to manage a certain operation inside of a device. Embedded systems are often merely made to carry out this task repeatedly, but more advanced ones can take control of whole operating systems
In our daily lives how important are embedded systems?
The significance of embedded systems in daily life is frequently contested. These tiny computers have a significant impact on how we commute, spend our free time, do business, and carry out many other daily duties since they are incorporated into numerous systems to carry out specialised image and data processing functions.

Processor
Timers counters
Circuits used in application
Power supply
Communication ports
Memory
Output and Input
Processor
The processor is the system's brain in any embedded device.
The processor makes decisions about the embedded system's performance.
Many different types of processors are offered on the market and can be chosen based on user needs
Microcontroller and processor functions can be performed by the embedded system
Timers counters
There is frequently a requirement for the application to include a delay
For instance, a delay is needed in LED display applications so that the LED can continue to blink.
And the embedded system can make use of a timer and a counter for that.
Programming can be done in a way that causes the embedded system to generate delays
Circuits used in application
Several hardware components can be employed for design purposes when the embedded system is created
The embedded system's application dictates the circuit choice in full.
Power supply
To power the embedded system circuit, the power supply is a crucial component.
Typically, an embedded system needs a 5 V supply, though it can also be between 1.8 and 3.3 V.
A wall adaptor or a battery can be used as the power source
The power supply is chosen based on the needs of the application and the user.
Communication ports
When communicating with different kinds of embedded systems, the communication port is the type of interface that is utilized.
Numerous communication port types, including UART, USB, Ethernet, RS-485, and others, are available in embedded systems.
Memory
The embedded system uses a variety of microcontrollers, thus each one has its built-in memory.
RAM (random access memory) and ROM are the two main types of memory (Read-only memory)
Since RAM is a volatile sort of memory, data saved there momentarily is lost when the system is turned off\
Output and Input
The input is required to communicate with the embedded system when it is in use.
Both the user and the sensor can offer input to the embedded system. Devices can only be linked to the designated ports on the embedded system due to the fixed input and output ports.
P0, P1, P2, and several others are examples.
Conclusion
Embedded systems are also quickly evolving into a change agent in the computer, data communications, telecommunications, industrial control, and entertainment industries. Any field where automatic systems are used will be beneficial and save both individuals and groups of people.

Trinamical stepper breakout with TMC2209
About two weeks ago, we designed a breakout for the A4988

and we're still waiting for those prototype PCBs, but we're not one to wait, because we think that the idea is a good one…so why not design another version? This time with the Trinamic TMC2209

This is a similar "Step & Dir" type driver, with a wide motor range of 4.75 – 28 Volts and separate 3~5V IO pin. It has a couple nifty upgrades, though: like a diagnostic error output, index out so you know if you dropped a microstep, OTP config memory, and a half-duplex UART pin that you can use to configure and read stats from the chip. We kept the direction/step LEDs and the current-limit-set potentiometer, changed a few pins around, and voila! What do you think?
