A little rumination to myself
I have just submitted my first job application. To be honest I REALLY hope they choose me and let me get to the interview. It would be massive to work in such a company. Lots of opportunities as well, I can see it quite clearly.
But I was asking myself, but what kind of person I want to be in the future then? When I get into the workforce, into the real job. What kind of person I want to be. I thought of my mother, a she-tiger whose tongue is sweeter than syrup but mind colder than the touch of permafrost. She is the kind of boss who never cares about anyone but herself and that she gets money for herself and her family. She ... well, abuses her employees. Treat them unjustly and use them for her own gains (telling them to send her things for her when that's not their duty at all).
Sure, she is effective and people respect her. But seriously, no one loves her, not a single bit. There is no loyalty to her because she has never been loyal to anyone either. But she doesn't care, she just wants to make money. (And this woman, guys, is ESFJ 3w2 sp/so, so stop telling people ExTJs are the only type who are impersonal and business-minded). Anyone else is not her business.
Then I think back to myself. I try to see myself down the road, years from now. When I stand in my warehouse/fishery what I see is my people talking to me like their brother, their friend, their equals. Some of them even tease me, in fact, we laugh together and we work together then we feast together. We live our life together sharing our goals and passion for work, albeit for different reasons. Some of them are in it for money, some for passion, some only care about their family and another for idealistic goals. But we still communicate to each other on equal level. We are all the same, the member of the same corporation. Each of us has our duty to perform but at the end of the day, our shared identity still binds us all together. We take care of our own and treat each other with respect and justice.
That is the kind of person I want to be in the future. I see a different picture when I tease my mind about becoming the monster I've always been capable of. I will be lonely, paranoid recluse who can't trust anyone and have to live in constant fear and anger. Like a creek blocked by debris, unable to connect with the streams and flow clean water. I don't want that path, no.
Then I won't be like my mother. I won't let my people down. I will build my family and community. I will be worthy of them all. I have to be. The wind of the forest, the sleepy snore of the creek, the lazy temper of the waves, the dance of biting cold. All of them wait for me there, but I have to prove myself and be worthy of them all. Hence, I have to start working on self-development immediately. I must be smarter, kinder and more empathetic. I cannot allow my crappy family and surrounding to drag me down the path of demon. I have to fly above them and be good and just, the way I'm always meant to be.
The more I stay with my family, the more apathic, ruthless, violent and uncaring I've become. And what am I if I'm no longer kind and empathetic. It is my greatest asset and my greatest weapon - a lethal tool that allows me to be who I am. The colder I became, the more dysfunctional and erratic I've become. This must not be, I must transcend it.
Ok, end of the rant.

How do you differentiate between Te-Fi and Ti-Fe? (as dom/last functions)
Tumblr media
Typically, Te-doms are aggressive go-getters who can’t seem to figure out why the rest of the world seems incapable of developing goals, then timelines and plans to go with them. They have such a strong work ethic and a desire to make something of themselves that many of them tend to be hard on the introverts around them, considering them “too slow moving,” or downright lazy. Te cares more about the end result and in getting things objectively done than it does in understanding the object it self – so Te-doms all collectively believe if you have a strong enough work ethic and reasonable goals, you can achieve anything you set out to do – because a lot of them do just that. Most of the “how to achieve success” books out there, accompanied by success stories in their authors (how they built an empire, started a franchise, took their dream and made it real, etc) … are by Te-doms. Look at Martha Stewart. Or Doctor Phil. Or the guy who created the billion-dollar best-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul book series who has a book out on “achieving your dreams.”
All the Te-dom advice is the same: have a set goal, a concrete plan on how to get there, measure your success through achievement, obtain financial security, and if you care enough, work hard enough, and have something other people want to buy and/or pay for, you’ll do just fine. And, as I said, most of them do, because their dominant function is Te… external organization, goal-setting, figuring out rational steps to make it a reality, outlining a plan, and then achieving success through hard work, detached business decisions, and a semi-constant presence “at work.” This is why a lot of EXTJs wind up CEOs. They worked their way up from the ground floor, or they invented the company. This doesn’t mean all EXTJs will become CEOs, but most of them are business-minded from a very young age (a couple of the ones I knew were already making money as a kid, while other kids were playing… they were mowing lawns and shoveling snow for profit, lol).
Many of them also either want to be “the boss” or do not mind it.
Tumblr media
If the Te-dom is an aggressive extrovert… the Ti-dom is an introvert. They like to think before they leap into things, and ensure the idea or opportunity presented to them has tangible rational merit and/or is logically consistent. Ti-doms build a framework through which they perceive reality; they are constantly trying to ‘fit’ the external world to their Ti-dom judgments – to categorize people, places, things, ideas, etc., internally rather than organize the external world. This is why an EXTJ has charts, diagrams, ten year plans, and set goals plastered all over their office… and the IXTP does all their work inside their head. Their desire to understand how everything works / how it all fits into their system framework is what enables them to fix things that break; if they can figure out the complexities of an external system, then they know, rationally, what causes it to hiccup and how to fix it and/or hack into it.
Instead of achievement impacting their relationships (EXTJ problems) in negative ways due to neglect, the danger from an IXTP is in seeing people as something to analyze and systematize instead of as human beings. They may think there’s a “system” to emotions only to have it backfire when faced with someone’s actual emotions. Or they may look at people like their own personal guinea pigs and run “tests” on them to see how they react (present them with ideas to get a rise out of them, throw them into situations to do the same, etc). Because their desire is understanding, they typically don’t care as much about being in charge or in controlling other people – because understanding IS their goal, and it’s for their own personal use and satisfaction.
Many of them develop personal ‘rules’ by which they live by (rational rules, whereas a Fi-dom develops moral /ethical rules) but don’t really expect others to live by them. IXTPs also have a desire to be liked and external morals; where an EXTJ will define their morals from Self (this is what I’ve decided is moral), an IXTP comes to a consensus of morals based on the environment (low Fe: well, whatever society says is moral … if it seems logical… I’m okay with it).
In short, Te-doms build the business and hire Ti-doms to do the tech. ;)
Under stress, both become petulant, but the ultimate test is in how much emphasis the thinker-dom places on external rewards and achievements (Te) vs. inner consistency and understanding and system-building (Ti).

What is UI & UX Design?
Tumblr media
User Interface Development is defined as the development of websites, web applications, mobile applications, and software. The User Interface plays a key role in the software development life cycle [SDLC]. Most people assume UI development is all about creating websites and writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but user interface goes far beyond these technical terms. The goal of the user interface is to make the user’s interaction as simple and efficient as possible, in terms of accomplishing user goals.
Think about it this way: The user experiences only front end interactions, such as the look and feel of the website/application. More often than not, they don’t concern themselves with the back end – like app design, coding elements, or methodologies employed in content layout. What’s more, users need to feel engaged and at ease when they visit your website.  That’s where UI engineers come into the picture – to fulfill this task.
Cultivating a User Interface can be divided into two phases in website/application/software development:
Research + Design
Development
Research and Design:
Research and analysis are all about interviewing users & project stakeholders and gathering their input to create a requirements document that includes personas, user scenarios, user behavior, and user experience evaluation metrics. During this phase, it is also important to understand the target audience so as to better cultivate a user experience design.
Business analysts and a user experience team usually lead the research phase. Both teams collect all information and inputs from users and project stakeholders in order to discuss technical terms with developers and project managers. Lastly, they prepare final documentation.
With the help of documentation, UX teams start the design process. They first create the wireframes to bring a rough idea to the project stakeholders and users.
Wireframes are presented as a comprehensive screen layout consisting of black and white sketches of every screen in the application. At this point, the visual and graphic design processes dictating the visual appeal have not yet begun.
Wireframe Example:
Next, developers must focus on creating prototypes that will simulate the real application. A prototype can contain one or more features, but it actually does nothing. It merely simulates the behavior of a real application, and users can see color combinations and minimal functionality in real-time. Wireframes/Sketches and Prototypes are done by UX designers.
Tools to create Wireframes and Prototypes
Balsamiq Mockups
Axure
Gliffy
iPhone mockup
InDesign
Photoshop
Fireworks
Dreamweaver
UX Designer Role and Responsibilities:
Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills, and sketchbook technique.
Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks and associated design tools.
Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery.
Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to clearly articulate design decisions with stakeholders and development teams.
Understanding of common software development practices.
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, careful attention to detail, and ability to grasp complex, nuanced product requirements.
Collaborating on user experience planning and researching interaction design trends.
Researching technology trends.
Note: Responsibilities would be based on company and project requirements.
UI Development
UI development services can be considered as the middle groundwork by combining both design sensibilities and technicalities together. UI developers are skilled at making a smooth appearance and proper functionality in a browser/device at the same time. They have the production skills vital to communicate with backend developers and collect data from server/backend and display to the user. They are fully responsible for the client-side/front end logics including web design and functionalities.
UI Developer and Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for building Web Applications using the Single Page Application (SPA) paradigm.
Develop software solutions using industry best practices and in the area of security and performance in a web and SOA architecture environment.
Effectively develop in a clean, well structured, easily maintainable format.
Participate in the full SDLC with Requirements, Solution Design, Development, QA Implementation, and product support using Scrum and other agile methodologies.
World-class HTML5/CSS3 and especially JavaScript/jQuery skills and good knowledge on other major JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
Skilled in using a CSS preprocessor to speed up development (LESS, SCSS).
Detailed knowledge of cross-browser UI issues and hacks.
Social technology API experience (Primarily Facebook, and also Twitter)
Experience creating, as well as consuming, JSON-based APIs.
Understand executing accessibility and progressive enhancement presentation.
