This is an epic cosplay shot of me and my Vaporeon buddy Nami having a sport under the water, practicing blitzball and preparing for the big tournament matches! If it wasn't already obvious, I'm dressed as Tidus from Final Fantasy X, a legendary Blitz Ace and protector of Summoner Yuna along her pilgrimage to defeating Sin. This serves as a wonderful tribute to the first Final Fantasy game I played and loved, and I still haven't even finished it yet, at some point I need to return to FFX and see the story to its end, after all, this may be our last chance, as Tidus would have said.

FFX/FFVII worldbuilding to help with the Ruin's Edge sequel!

So if humans and Al Bhed came over to Gaia from Spira about how long ago do you think that was? If the Calamity happened thousands of years ago, and it seems only the Cetra were involved with this and knew of it, then clearly humans weren't on the planet yet!

How long ago do you think it was? Spira's technology was obviously well behind the tech they have in current Gaia, but with the AL Bhed I seriously doubt there would be a huge amount of regression once they ended up stuck there.

They'd have come through with tech already with them, but it was still probably fairly primative since I'm going with the idea of kid Shinra from X-2 being an adult, likely in his 60s at the time.

Is 2000 years too early or too long? It took Spira 1000 years of shunning tech to get to where they were in X but still had Sphere technology which I'm having morph into Materia over the years...

This is how I imagine Summoner Deku's Party in my FFX/MHA crossover fic Honor of Sacrifice over on Ao3. Also this took forever and I am very happy with it.
