She twirls out of the way, then crouches for a kick at his legs— not something he falls for, if anything because he was well aware charging forward left one open if they did not strike true. He rolls forward with the momentum, evading the kick in the process, to then pivot to stand once more, launching himself into the offensive again with a horizontal strike. His movement is not as fluid as he’d like, a little cumbersome and with some lost momentum, but he tries not to dwell on it and instead focus on the now.

Instead of putting all his force in the strike, his blow is a testing one should it be blocked or parried, and he will try to follow through with more, poking at her defenses to test them.

Curses! Of course that trick won’t work on someone like Alm, nonetheless, she wants to try everything against him! Eyes tried to keep up with his movements but he was fast! If it weren’t for her survival instincts, he might have just ended the match right there, though it really did shake her defense quite a lot for her liking. 

Lucina manages to raise her sword to block Alm’s sword, steel on steel clashing, with small sparkles appeared at the clash point. “Nngh!!” it was not ideal to block an attack at this low position. Naga’s mercy! If Alm had used a bit more strength, then she would probably brought to her knees due to the sheer strength.

Though it would take more than that to take her down. Lucina took a deep breath (as much as she can in this situation) and used all her strength to push back at Alm’s attack. She would love to fend him off so she can roll to the back and think of her next attack, or defense if he was not letting her go anytime soon.
