OWO what is this? Is this Honkai Impact 3rd or Star Rail? If we're talkin' Star Rail, Himiko looks like Diluc's long lost elder sister. Only Diluc needs his model given some love, considering we got muscly Alhaitham and the game's got way more budget now and there's no excuse leaving Diluc like that- (No shade to Diluc stans, btw, I love you guys. <3)

If we're talking Impact 3rd tho, a buddy of mine said the ending wasn't great. Even so I do wanna play, even though I don't think I can take more gacha games with beautiful men and women. X_X (Picked up Genshin because of Kaeya)

funny enough these are (from left to right) Himeko [Honkai Impact], Diluc [Genshin], Himeko [Honkai Star Rail]. They all look similar, kinda like how Alhaitham and Su look similar (or Raiden ei and Raiden mei). I think Hoyoverse does this on purpose!!!

And I'm far from the end of Impact to either confirm or deny that statement :((. I get the struggle of juggling multiple gacha games but you don't need to play the game to enter the fandom!!! So feel free to love any and all beautiful men and women (I know I will XD)

Alright, let's talk vampires.

I think the question currently on everyone's mind is "How the fuck did they get Chuuya?" He's one of those characters that seem borderline invincible. When has anyone ever really been able to touch him? Even Shibusawa's magic bullshit fog in Dead Apple couldn't affect Chuuya, so how did Fyodor manage it?

My current theory is that the clue is his clothes.

Akutagawa gets an outfit change in the Jouno gets hatrecimed chapter, sure, but that makes sense considering he was wandering around in a torn up shirt and the vampire epidemic was a stealth takeover. The chapter where the Black Lizard gets bitten basically shows the vampire MO: one member of a squad gets bitten by someone they trusted (Higuchi by Akutagawa) and then goes to infect the rest of their squad, who is taken by surprise. Absolutely no one expects a member of their elite assassination unit to be a vampire, obviously.

And it seems that the PM operates in squads, which presumably makes the communication between squads kinda...difficult. This is great for a black ops organization like the PM because it makes information warfare that much more difficult, and terrible if there's a stealth enemy taking out entire units at a time.

However, at some point, news of the outbreak is going to make its way up the chain of command. It only takes one guy making it to the phone.

But if you were Grandpa Warcrimes attempting to get rid of a powerful enemy, this is the opposite of what you want. What you want to do is take out the most powerful players first--infect the top of the chain of command, because they're the only ones with the knowledge, authority, and communication ability to fight back against the vampires. A Port Mafia redshirt can't quarantine squads or distribute the knowledge that there even is an outbreak, much less figure out a way to defend themselves without, you know, murdering their squadmate.

What you really want is to infect Mori, Chuuya, and Kouyou: the three executives (and any others that we haven't been shown yet). Kouyou's fate is currently unknown, so let's talk Mori first.

As of that chapter where he gets Tachihara to fight Fukuchi, he's fine and uninfected. I would absolutely speculate as to his plans and motives if he wasn't, you know, playing 5D chess at all times. But if I were Mori and my plan to have Tachihara stab Fukuchi failed, I would take my executives and hole up in a bunker somewhere--where I could presumably issue orders to what PM operatives were left. But I'm not sure what other moves this man has left. Pre-BSD98 I would have said he's looking to play the Chuuya card, but, well.

And that brings us to the fandom's favorite alcoholic. This motherfucker disappears for three years of BSD updates and shows up wearing an updated, less campy version of his Fifteen outfit, looking like he's caught Akutagawa's undead strain of rabies. Why isn't he wearing his fancy gangster outfit and how did the vampires get him?

My thought? Fukuchi got him first.

Before news of the vampire outbreak got to the upper brass, before anyone really knew that the vampires are a thing--hell, maybe even before Higuchi got infected. Chuuya is the PM's ace-in-the-hole, the one you want to take out of commission before launching a coordinated biological attack on the rest of the organization. Do you want your plan to succeed? Yes? Then you need Chuuya out of the way.

This handily answers the question of "sir where the fuck have you been," by the way. "Being a vampire" is a pretty good excuse.

He's not in his usual snazzy outfit. This suggests they took him out while he wasn't on duty. Maybe he was going home for the day, or it was a weekend and he was shopping for groceries. Maybe he was just clocking in and hadn't changed yet. We know Akutagawa doesn't wear his dramatic cravat-and-coat ensemble 24/7 and wears a tracksuit when he's not on the clock, so Chuuya having an updated version of his teenage outfit makes sense.

Of course, there's the possibility that Harukawa just wanted to change things up a little and I am, as per the usual, overanalyzing. But think about it--it's a stupid idea to try and bite Chuuya while he's on the job. First of all, you would need to know where he is, which probably changes daily. But if you stalked him for long enough, you would know what his usual hours are, and where he goes after work.

Secondly, he's going to be on edge while he's working. You do not want Chuuya "My Reflexes are Good Enough to Stop Bullets" Nakahara to be alert and aware when you're trying to get within neck-biting distance. He's going to have his guard down if he's in his civvies, walking home.

Thirdly, if you get him while he's off duty?

No witnesses.

And then you can take over the rest of the PM with your funky vampire soldiers in peace, bar Kouyou and Mori. And Kajii. Isn't it funny that we don't know what the lemon guy is doing?

TLDR, Chuuya was probably one of the first people to get infected and they got him while he was off duty.

Rereading Scum Villain and there’s a part where after SQQ shoves LBH into the Endless Abyss, (and lemme tell you, that scene still hurts) he comments on how everyone thinks he’s mourning his favorite disciple. And in his head he corrects them: he’s not mourning Binghe. He knows Binghe can’t die, the narrative won’t let him (and isn’t that a fun concept to play with). He’s mourning white lotus Binghe. He’s mourning the disciple who smiled easily and shone like the sun. He’s mourning that child’s innocence and naïveté and brilliant, blinding trust, and damn if that doesn’t hit like a truck.

Albedo has a soft German accent, it's most noticeable if he's excited and talking fast

Xiao has a pretty noticeable Chinese accent, he also isn't very fluent in English just yet. Sometimes he forgets some English words and replaces them with Chinese words- because of that, traveller has been able to recognize what word means what depending on the context of the conversation.

Scaramouche also has a Japanese accent- his isn't as noticeable as Xiao's Chinese accent. But his definitely gets heavy when he's pissed- (so 99% if the time? Yeah.) He also sometimes forgets certain English words. You know that one video of this girl who's mom speaks some English but forgot the English word for carousel so she called it a horse tornado? And the girl repeated that in Spanish to her mom to show why she was horrified??? Yeah that's Scaramouche.)

"Yeah I saw one of those... damn I forgot the word.. horse tornado, or whatever" "I'M SORRY- A WHAT NOW??" "horse tornado." "What the fuck is a horse tornado?!" "Don't give me that attitude. You know exactly what I'm talking about!" "I'm sORRY but if I heard someone say they saw a horse tornado I'D BE INCREDIBLY HORRIFIED- Would you not be terrified if someone said they saw a Uma no tatsumaki?!" "O h"

It's a crack show on Dragonspine- Albedo is very serious typically- but go into dragonspine with him and Jesus christ- dubbing reader, Albedo Albedo Sucrose the crack team-

"Be careful, you might slip and fa-" (y/n) fucking slips and Albedo is instantly on the ground laughing, "What did I tell you?!" "It's slippery sucrose!! 😭😭😭"

Albedo almost falls off a ledge because he's getting to close and not paying attention because he thinks he's invincible.

"Mister Albedo you are getting way to close to the ledge for my liking-" "I'll be fine-" final last words- he was fine in the end but that was funny to see him basically ROLL down the hill like he was in Rolling Girl

Sucrose seems to be the one sane one at that moment-

(Y/n) running to attack a camp of fatui cuz fuck them, "(y/n) that's a bad idea-" mans gets THROWN back, Albedo runs in to try and desculate the situation, he also gets thrown because he's 5'3. Sucrose has to pick up the pieces

Sometimes you can find Albedo passed out in his research camp

Albedo gets into the WEIRDEST spots. One time he got ONTO THAT FLOATING STATUE OF THE SEVEN AT THE TIP TOP OF DRAGONSPINE- How??? No fucking clue but we had to go get Xiao to help get him down because he didn't know how to get down from there- and Xiao is the one able to plunge from any height and not be hurt

Albedo and Xiao were with (y/n) and traveler once, trying to find the blossom of revelation, and Xiao fell cuz he ran out of stamina while climbing the mountain to stormbearer mountain and basically fucking died- Albedo dragged him all the way to the statue of the seven in the middle of starfell lake. (This actually happened yesterday, so it's now a part of my headcanons)

Yes Albedo has gotten to the top of the Barbatos statue infront of the cathedral and yes he didn't know how to get down- literally a cat stuck in a tree

Venti watched him get up there and laughed when he realized he couldn't get down

Albedo got drunk... ONCE

He will rage if they run out of time enough times-

Like seething- livid- one of the few times you will see him genuinely in uncontrollable rage-

Runs right back in there after almost dying and at that point he takes out the entire domain being fueled by pure irritation-

Xiao joins in because he, too, was getting annoyed...

We don't need barbara to heal them- they'll keep going past 0 health out of pure spite

Xiao definitely would try fighting time Anemo hypostasis even though his element is the same as the hypostasis- he has a spear, he can do this

The amount of times Albedo had gotten irritated at the geo hypostasis is ungodly

He never wants to fight that thing again after gaining the 20 basalt pillars he needed

Alas he's most likely gonna have to help us get some for Noelle- poor girl is stuck st like level 50 and hasn't been ascended to get to 60 yet

Albedo on top of his solar isotoma "I see no God up here.... OTHER THAN ME!" While fighting the primo geovishap.

He is immune to the geovishap going under ground to attack from there- he just puts down his sacred flower elevator and ascends, internally laughing as everyone else trying running away

The only thing he is not immune to is the shower attack- in which he thanks the archins that Noelle exists (I don't have Thoma lmao- wait Xinyan has a shield I think.. still Noelle shield supremacy)

Noelle's shield has saved Albedo only the atchons know how many times

First time ever since the game launch, the anniversary is more exciting than a new region or even the lantern ride.

A while back I was like "Genshin is the type of game that if you're starting to play now, you shouldn't feel pressure to get to newer content quickly, it's the type of game that you should take your time with" but I can't really see myself creating a new account to play it all again without feeling a certain way. Cuz I am very proud and comfortable in my current account that I have for 4 years at this point, I have so many time limited things that I got, so many characters already built. The idea of trying to do it all again is kinda dreading for the simple fact that I don't have as much time anymore and I wouldn't have all the comfortable stuff that my old account provides; it's like exchanging your trustworthy running shoes that you brought last year for a new one that is all rigid and not as comfortable.

Of course, new players would have a whole new experience and a lot of things that I didn't had when I started. And if someone wanna play the game they should and they should take their time with it.

As an older player I just don't see myself creating a new account and going through the whole game again anytime soon.
