The overarching theme of The Lost Fairy is GRIEF. It permeates the narrative, even in its narrator. In every character there is grief, but the ways they deal with it are entirely different-- Some with rage, some trying to find meaning in it, some thinking there is no meaning after it.

It's also about new beginnings, that you cannot dwell on the past forever, that there's a new life around the corner, always, even if it hurts.

And I just love how despite the grief and despite the loss, The Lost Fairy also says there's more to this life to love. That there's always something out there to hold onto-- your friends, your family, and even the concept of LOVE out there in the world somewhere. Life continues on, and you can spend all the time you want grieving (in a tree, surrounded by picked flowers) but you cannot let it consume you. You have to keep going.

A slow but engaging song about a villain and the pressures of responsibility that pushed them into making all the corrupt and difficult decisions that they make...especially concerning magical and otherworldly issues that nearly caused the crumble of their society in the past era. A perfect song for Toffee, really. This one plays in my head whenever I imagine him alone in Ludo's his new castle contemplating whether or not to go through with his plan to kidnap Marco and destroy the wand.

this is an all-new shaperaverse blog! bear with me as i get more comfortable in it.

i'm currently up to the fairypunk trilogy and i haven't seen anything after that! i'm making my way through it all!!

and while i love them all, my current rankings are = new albion tetralogy < lost hollow < fairypunk, and i think my favourite album might be the lost fairy. it RULES

I've just finished the Fairypunk Trilogy and I don't know which Shaperaverse album to listen to next, any recommendations? I've listened to the New Albion series and Ballad of Lost Hollow. I think I'll either listen to the Secret Series or the Posthuman War, but I'm not sure, what would you guys recommend?

thinking abt how the fairypunk trilogy was my introduction to the shaperaverse and how i had no clue who han mi, raven, and lloyd were and i was so confused at the end of lost fairy and now they’re probably the characters i draw the most. anyway here’s how i imagine they look during those albums.

You know what's awesome about the New Albion universe? It caters to literally any type of fanfic writer and OC creator.

Seriously. No type or genre of OC is too extra, out of place, or outrageous for the NA universe.

You got a cyborg OC? The Cyberpunk Era is crawling with them, and making new enhancements every day!

You got a Fursona you don't know what to do with? The werewolf tribe of Lost Hollow would probably welcome them with open arms!

You got a talking animal? They can take down mobsters with Sam the Mouse, or sing with the cockroach a capella group!

You got a ghost possessing an artificial body? The Dolls of New Albion could use their sympathy and help!

You got a meta-physical fourth wall breaker? Lloyd and Raven could teach them a thing or two about their powers!
