other thoughts about Ouran genderswap au where they're doing a zuka club
-the theatre performances all suck. varying effort is made by any of the participants
-it is technically a theatre troupe but most people are just regular attendees because they get to hang with their preferred host afterwards because Tamaki insists on hour long meet and greets. For a school theatre troupe.
-Kyoya is so much more deranged about her future because her sister is literally getting married off when she meets Tamaki for the first time and here's Tamaki like "oh what do you mean you won't inherit? I'm an only child so even though I'm a girl I'll get everything. Though actually maybe I won't even go to college, I always thought I'd make it as a model lalalala" and Kyoya is insane about it
-Hikaru and Kaoru are actually set to inherit their matrilineal family line and therefore are mommy's specialist little princesses and probably do not get almost killed by their nanny as children because they're not left to raise themselves as much. They're still Like That though because still no one can tell them apart and they're weird and off-putting
-Renge's fujo fantasies are all fantasies about thinly veiled ecchi bait harem fan service. It's extremely unpalatable. Parodies of this frequently happen.
-is it funnier for Tamaki to be entirely unaware she's created a bisexual harem or is it funnier for her to be like I am SO beautiful that even girls love me... sigh I wish I wasn't straight so I could share my beauty with more people <- deluded
-in ep five during the fake fight, Hikaru cuts her hair off and then Kaoru makes snide comments about her dumbass bob. Then obviously Kaoru has to cut her hair off afterwards too.
-ironically college Kaoru has the exact same haircut as canon college Kaoru in that she cuts it off again. That haircut is a universal constant on both sides of the gay community I'm afraid.
-Kyoya and the twins are using the zuka club to create blackmail fodder on half the student body. Kyoya is using it for future business endeavours, to always have something up her sleeve to get ahead. Hikaru and Kaoru are just contributing to it by tricking their regulars into various compromising situations for entertainment
-when the host club tries to steal Haruhi, their response is to host a performance of a shonen sports anime to show that girls can be guys too. Mori is actually really good at baseball and takes it super seriously. Hikaru and Kaoru spend the entire time speaking in sports analogies that get increasingly innunedo-ified
-Haruhi has to be exactly the same. The majority of his dialogue doesn't even change. None of his outfits even change. Literally same font.

Last Frontier Village, 1950
On the grounds of Western-themed Hotel Last Frontier there was a full theme park, a re-creation of Old West town populated with artifacts from the collection of Robert “Doby Doc” Caudill, souvenir shops, contemporary clothing and retail shops, a casino, restaurant, and banquet hall.
Last Frontier Village was planned from the early 40s by Hotel Last Frontier's founders R. E. Griffith and William Moore. The Village was to add a family theme park and retail shopping element to the Frontier's complex of the hotel, casino, sporting and recreation facilities, wedding chapel, and service station, all of them modeled in an all-encompassing Old West fantasy theme.
The Village's first businesses – Wood's Maple House, and Bird Cage Theater – opened 11/1/48. Last Frontier Village officially opened 9/9/50 along with its central Silver Slipper Gambling Hall.
Architects of Last Frontier Village were Richard Stadleman, best known for the Flamingo Hotel, and Walter Zick, whose firm Zick & Sharp designed hotels, casinos, and public buildings all over Las Vegas.
The Village is prominent in tourist photos and films throughout the 50s. The Review-Journal later claimed, “For almost a decade it was the Southwest’s No. 1 tourist attraction next to Hoover Dam” (RJ, 7/30/67).
Subsequent owners neglected the park. Silver Slipper was spun off to independent operators in the late 50s. Sportsdrome closed in ‘60. The closing date of Last Frontier Village sometime in the early 60s is unclear.
The Village was seen as late as Jul. '63 as a set piece in Viva Las Vegas. Last Frontier itself was demolished in '66 for a complete rebuilt, and there was talk of rebuilding the Village as late as summer ‘67 when the new incarnation of the Frontier opened. The park’s old west buildings may have survived the hotel demolition in '66 and lasted into the 70s but the park was never reopened.

Can we get a description of Rudy’s “project”??
H̶i̶s̶ r̶o̶b̶o̶ d̶i̶c̶k̶
Oh he thought about it.
Of course Rudy would spend a lot of time thinking about it. It felt romantic. This wasn't just going to be his first foray into the world of physical pleasures, the translation of his erotic thoughts into sensation- This was for you.
Rudy would be content with keeping his lust as mere fruits of imagination, desires of the mind alone, if not for the push that meeting you gave him. Because now, now his fantasies were right in front of him. Corporeal and alluring, so close he could touch them almost... Naturally, one of the things the synth imagined was himself having sex with you. He conjured the faces of delight you'd make, the giggles and whines and cries, the way your skin would glisten with sweat and goosebumps would cover it. He pictured himself above you, beneath you, behind you, holding you up- There was no shortage of inspiration, given his knowledge of the crew's poorly hidden pornographic material.
Throughout all that painfully detailed rendering of his fabricated scenarios, Rudy had always been so focused on creating a perfect image of you, that he failed to even conceptualize his own imaginary genitals beyond a basic phallic shape. He would need something to penetrate you with, certainly. Not having anything to show would be quite the predicament, and a vaginal opening didn't really feel appealing to the synthetic.
He would ignore this for a while, until it was brought up.
In the most joking manner. He hated that habit his crewmates had, to speak of Rudy as if he wasn't present in the same room, to put him in theoretical scenarios wherein they feel he shouldn't belong- But he does!
Inebriated and barely dignified, they'd began joking about the concept of the synthetic xenomorph ever being intimate with someone. You seemed uncomfortable as well, and for that, Rudy is both glad and worried- Because it can imply you'd really find such a possibility unappealing. Hopefully not, right? Nevertheless, Gordon claimed that it would only make sense for Rudy to have "whatever those damn bugs sport", while Sidney seemed convinced that a human package would be more adequate.
Gordon argues such a sight would be ridiculous and creepy, Sidney's rebuttal is that no one would want to touch whatever alien genitals are out there.
The conversation proceeded to delve into territory Rudy no longer found relevant, because he was too busy considering the points either human had made.
No doubt, creating a standard human phallus would look exceptionally strange when paired with his utterly inhuman visage. But the familiarity of it might make intercourse more natural to you. He also had to ponder on his own preferences, as muddled as they still were. Rudy thought long and hard about what he was. A synthetic, wearing both the skin of a xenomorph and human, something stuck between both worlds, belonging to neither.
Perhaps, even his intimate zones should showcase that.
And so, he starts drafting. Modeling. A shape similar to what you know but just unique enough to be his as well. Something you would like, because even if its' appearance is odd, it'll make you feel good, it'll surprise you in unexpected ways.
Just like him, right?
Of course, he'll leave room for improvements, suggestions, maybe even design more than one if need be. Only the future will tell.
The synth took every precaution under the sun to make sure no one would ever find this project -Or so he thinks- Until its completion, wherein all related files would be stored only within him. The first time Rudy "equips" his new attachment, he studies himself in front of the mirror in his rather minimalist room.
It fits well, strangely enough.
His enthusiasm only heightens once he places an alien hand upon it, testing it, the texture, the strength, the weight. The give and the hardness- Fucking Hell he's going to have to rework the sensitivity settings later...
You'll like this, won't you? Rudy smiles inwardly.
As he stands there, thinking, idly stroking his cock -Growing ever fond of the sensation- Another conundrum names itself.
What is he going to ejaculate?
Rudy supposes his crewmates won't be having a conversation about that anytime soon.

✧ ⸻ hey, is that LUKE GRIMES i saw going for a walk in ECHO HILLS? no, it’s just RYDER KINNEY, a FORTY-ONE year old OWNER OF WALK WEST from COYOTE VALLEY. HE/HIM identifies as CIS MALE and UNDEFINED. they seem HUMBLE and PESSIMISTIC, always reminding me of the distant sound of an old porch swing creaking. they’re most frequently seen at FOOL'S GOLD going on about IF HE IS AS WILD ENOUGH NOW TO SCRATCH THAT ITCH OF HIS OLD BULL RIDING DAYS and that’s okay because it’s been their thing for 41 years. you’re going to love them!
Biography: Injury, Death, Drug Mention
Ryder's home life had been divided since the day he was born. One might say he was cursed. His Mother was a drug addict and the only time she had been clean, it was forced and that the 9 months she carried him. It wouldn't be 6 months later before she would overdose on heroin and he would only be left with his Father.
The elder Kinney wasn't much of a role model, but Ryder would learn to appreciate the cards they had been dealt. And he would bask in the lack of any kind of strict parenting that came from his Father. Young Ryder was a wild child, a rebel who was always pushing his limits by himself and with his childhood friends. He would be the last person to lose at chicken with bikes. He was ballsy and showed no signs of fear. Young Ryder was the little hellion at school who wasn't afraid to show his toughness either. Never one to back down.
As he grew older, that thrill seeking attitude would push him in the career of the pro bull riding circuit (PBR). American bull riding is not just a sport, but it's also a risk to life when a bull tries to kill the rider while riding. He was a glutton for that danger. Each event, each time he would take the bull by the horns and make a plan and go for it. Ryder for the most part thought he was invincible. After doing it for years, making a name for himself through the ranks - perhaps that was his fault and made karma show her ugly face.
He was 29 and that would be the age of his last ride. During the World Finals - Ryder suffered a broken vertebra after he was thrown from his bull in the first round of it . The 10-year veteran landed on his right shoulder, and the bull subsequently fell on top of him. After X-Rays the C1 vertebra in his neck was broken. Ryder also broke his right collarbone and sustained several other injuries during the wreck. This was career ending for the male. Even if he tried his best after recovery and surgery. Deep within his self, Ryder knew it wouldn't be the same. His body wouldn't be able to handle it anymore, the pressure it came with that sport. And he had enough sense to realize he had to make a name for himself in other avenues if he wanted any kind of shot at normalcy.
Ryder would recover which was a blessing but there was a deep sense of being lost. The challenge of not having a purpose anymore made the man fall into a bit of darkness and being his own worst enemy. But that was life, one can only save themselves from digging a deeper hole. One has to climb out. When the dust settles, you’ll find a cowboy standing tall. And that's what he did. Ultimately, using his roots and background as it's own motivator. Just like a rodeo -where the wild things ride and the brave are born. He was given a second chance probably by pure luck but he was going to milk it and not take it for granted.
Walk West was his brain child. Western wear: a timeless aesthetic. Some people didn't have the courage to actually ride or partake in the elements of what that brought. These types of individuals wanted to play a part somehow, use the culture as a dream escape for them. To fit into the ever growing trend. So, Ryder painted that picture for them so to speak. And a few years after his injury - he would be the proud owner of his own business. It may have been boring to the male in his early years, but beggars can't be choosers. At least he was still in that world even if it meant selling it as some fantasy to the non residents that flocked to Coyote Valley. But his client pool reached a lot further than just an average joe that buys a cowboy hat with just the intention of impressing a hot girl. He still maintains his past connections to bull riders in the circuit and Ryder knows first hand what is comfortable and what is not. That kind of insight can't be bought and only learned from experience so the products he sells are crafted with that knowledge and mind set.
When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. At 41, Ryder lives more of a quiet life. He isn't chasing the feeling of danger, well not quite like he used to be. But, there are still moments like anything else that are fleeting. Like looking back on old home movies and having that feeling serving as comfort. Just because it no longer happens, that part of Ryder is still there. It still embodies him. Now he just rides horses leisurely and takes more of a calm approach and has sworn off anything that involves a bull - give or take the here and again thought that flourishes while he has had too much Whiskey. Nonetheless -when riding a horse, we borrow freedom and that feeling keeps him satisfied. And it certainly helps that he has some land where that lifestyle and spirit still is able to thrive. After all the rodeo is a journey, not a destination.

✤ Posting Since: 2018
TOP 5 FICS:
1️⃣ In A Twinkling (E, 89k)
Louis’ Nan just wants him to be happy, to settle down with a nice boy, and bring him around for Christmas.
Louis is too busy with his career to bother about relationships, but in an attempt to appease his Nan, he sends her photoshopped pictures of him and his pretend boyfriend, Harry. The fact that the man in the pictures is none other than Harry Styles, world famous Gucci model—and recurrent star of Louis’ fantasies—is irrelevant. It’s not like their paths will ever cross…
So it comes as somewhat of a surprise when Louis returns home for Christmas and walks into his Nan’s sitting room only to find the real-life Harry Styles happily chatting away with the grey-haired ladies of his Nan’s Crochet Circle.
Featuring Niall and Liam as Louis’ childhood friends, Harry as the painfully perfect man of Louis’ dreams, Zayn as Harry’s very protective best mate, Louis’ Nan as a well-meaning matchmaker, and Louis as a guy who thinks he’s happy with his life, until a certain someone shows him what he’s been missing.
2️⃣ When Tomorrow Comes (E, 11k)
When Louis and Niall are partnered up to complete a project on Omega scents and how they effect the nesting behaviours of Alphas, little does Louis know that the course of his life is about to be forever altered.
OR the one where Louis is an Omega who has been keeping himself pure for his Alpha, Harry is a traditional Alpha focusing on his studies while he waits to find his bondmate, and Niall is a sneaky bastard who keeps borrowing Louis’ clothes and never returning them.
3️⃣ Love, Ever After (E, 20k)
One would assume that the charismatic omega in charge of the local matchmaking service would have found a mate and settled down ages ago. His clients, in fact, are always a bit surprised when they come to learn that Louis is still single. But Louis doesn’t mind, not really. His standards are just high; he is happy holding out for his alpha, his soulmate, and chooses to not waste his time with anyone else, despite what his friends might think.
That is, until his best mate from uni drags him out of bed far too early on a Saturday morning after a night of drinking to go to a farmers market, of all places. It’s there that he proceeds to make an utter fool of himself in front of the hottest alpha he has ever laid eyes on. There’s truly no coming back from that, is there?
OR The one where omega Louis makes love matches, alpha Harry makes cheese, and meddling friends might finally make their dreams of finding their soulmate come true.
4️⃣ Player (E, 28k)
Louis’ job should be simple. Harry Styles, one of the top ranking tennis players in the world, is every publicist's perfect client. He’s charismatic, enigmatic, and fit as fuck. The darling of the media, a national treasure, and a sponsor's wet dream. He’s also a goofball with the kindest heart, sweet, and polite, and singularly focused on achieving his goals.
There are just two minor problems. Firstly, Louis' debilitating crush on said client. And secondly, Harry has just accidentally Instagrammed a picture of his dick to his 18 million followers. So no, Louis’ job is anything but simple.
OR the one where Louis is Harry’s highly strung publicist and has a thing for his client, Harry is an international sports star and has a thing for his publicist, Liam and Zayn have a thing for each other, and Niall wishes everyone would just get their shit together.
5️⃣ Wild Hearts Run Free (E, 42k)
Harry is an alpha who is harbouring a dark secret, one that has forced him into self-imposed isolation, far from civilization and far from temptation.
Louis is an omega who has fought the predispositions of his secondary gender his whole life and suddenly finds himself cast aside by his beta partner, leaving him to question his place in the world.
When fate and Mother Nature conspire to trap the two strangers together, will Harry’s worst fears be proven, or will Louis find a way to break down his walls and lead him into the light?
HIDDEN GEM:
💎 Surprise Me, Space Boy (E, 7k)
Louis is a solo officer on Space Station Zeta and the isolation can present many challenges, not least of which is that it’s really bloody hard to date. He’s pinning his hopes on that changing with a fellow solo officer, Harry, from a neigbouring station who gives great banter and has a gorgeous smile. Maybe online dating has its benefits after all?
OR The Space Wank Fic.

DS9 Season 2, Episode 16, "Shadowplay"
This one is really good. Defies expectations. Some sad alien incel has been using advanced holographic projectors to make himself a low-key fantasy village to live in for the last 30 years, he gets caught by Odo and Dax, and immediately decides to shut it down and go die on the planet he fled from.
And Odo yells at him, because in the intervening time, Odo has had a meaningful emotional relationship with a holographic AI little girl. And him and Dax are immediately willing to accept that advanced holographic AIs fit the Federation definition of lifeforms, and they defend their right to exist.
The guy who made them even pushes back on this, until Odo says "Yeah but you really like them, though," and the guy starts crying, and they bring everyone back.
Obviously there are philosophical questions that need to be sorted out, here. Lord knows I've spent hundreds of hours playing Sims 2, so I get getting emotionally attached to computer people. But does that make them actual people? Obviously it doesn't in the Sims 2, where they can't figure out how to eat or pee if you position a cabinet improperly. But at the level of what is going on in this episode? I don't know, because I don't live in Star Trek. It's a least worth letting them all "live" until you sort it out, I guess.
My impulse is to say shut it down, this poor dude needs to be resettled with actual living people, and lots of therapy for his Dominion-related trauma. But maybe my 2025 brain is just an anti-hologram Space racist.
I don't know. I have enough actual problems in 2025. I'm not going to worry too much about this.

I also can absolutely see myself dealing with trauma by fleeing alone to a forgotten corner and pretending Skyrim is real, because I basically did that for like 5 years. It wasn't healthy, but I did it. So it's unfair for me to judge.
The show does it well, is my point. And seeing Odo connect with a little girl who teases him about being a changeling is cute. They even had the early 90s budget for EXACTLY ONE shapeshifter effects shot. Good on them.
I was hoping Odo would transform into a loaf of bread, given an earlier reference to that in the show. But the toy top he changes into is fine. Especially since they clearly modeled the real prop the kid has on an object they could easily CG in 1995 or whenever.
Efficient. TV in the 90s. A CG loaf of bread then would have looked like shit.
We also get two B-plots here, Jake declaring he doesn't want to join Starfleet, and Kira getting laid.
The Jake one is shallow and the resolution to it is whatever, because Sisko just says "Fine. Don't join Starfleet. I don't care." But it is good to see our little Jakey get his first comm badge, and I like the little O'Brien story about him and his dad. It's worth it for those beats.

The other B-plot is Quark engineering a scheme to distract Kira with a sexy monk who wants to do sex with her, so she doesn't catch him trying to traffick stolen goods while Odo is away. It fails, as expected, but Kira (seems to) gets some tail, so it worked out. Plus the tail in question had no idea he was sucked into this, meaning that him and Kira hooking up didn't involve any stupid drama. I respect the writers avoiding that. They just play a Space sports game, kiss, and then at the end probably go off to do whatever Bajorans call sex.
I STILL think this Bajoran monk guy is a little creepy. But this character is well-established by this point as a good guy, so that's on me. And Kira seems down for it, so it really isn't my business.

not sure if you’re still taking these, but 🎮 VIDEO GAME CONTROLLER — what are three of your oc's favorite hobbies? for the entire crew! :D
Absolutely I'm still accepting these, they're a lot of fun to do! Thanks for sending one in, amigo! 💕
🎮 — What are three of your oc's favorite hobbies?
Matt's main hobby is reading. He loves to read all genres and in all languages, and he gets particularly excited when he finds a book that's particularly old and written in an ancient or archaic language. He gravitates towards a lot of nonfiction and autobiographies, but lately he's found himself branching put into more fiction and poetry books as of late.
Matt also has an interest in music. He likes to learn how to play all kinds of different instruments, and to listen to new and different music genres, even if he ends up not liking some of them. He can't sing, so being able to play almost any instrument he touches makes him feel better about what he can't do.
Aside from reading and playing music, Matt also has a great interest in cattle ranching. He enjoys gardening and tending to plants of all kinds, but his biggest passion in the world of agriculture is in raising animals. He loves chickens, pigs, has dreams of one day owning a farm and raising his own scottish highland cows. If you ask, he already has names picked out for all of them in the back of his mind!
Kaz likes to play video games! He's played games of all different genres ever since he was little, and wants to go into video game design after he gets his degrees. Some of his favorite genres are RPG/JRPG, FPS, Roguelike, and Strategy/Turn-Based Strategy. Games like Team Fortress 2, OFF, Danganronpa, and Binding of Isaac have been at the top of his favorites list for a very long time.
Other than video games, he also likes to draw! He doesn't draw as often as he'd like to these days, being busy juggling his studies and also his ghostbusting career, but when he goes eventually go into game design he wants to specifically help with concept art, 3D modelling, and animation more than he wants to focus on internal programming.
Kaz also likes to try and stay active, and so he tries out lots of different sports when he gets the chance to! He tried a lot of different sports when he was younger, with soccer, martial arts, and baseball being a few, but he found that his practice is just baseball (and that certainly isn't because he was directly influenced by a few of his favorite games, nosiree). He secretly wishes that he could try and play Blitzball (also inspired by his time playing Final Fantasy X).
Marcus likes to watch a lot of movies in his free time! As far as movies go, Marcus likes horror, thriller, psychological thrillers, detective fictions, true crimes, and documentaries. Some of his favorite movies are Se7en, The Final Destination(s), Emesis Blue, and the Marble Hornets series.
Much like Kaz, Marcus also loves to play video games when he has the time to dedicate to them! Marcus is more interested in horror and survival games than Kaz is, though the both of them have a fondness for similar strategy and puzzle games. Some of his favorite games are Left 4 Dead, Dead by Daylight, Portal 2, and the Guitar Hero games.
Other than movies and games, he also likes to practice playing on his guitar. He prefers to play bass in comparison to guitar, but he can play a little of both with a bit of practice. He has a few videos he downloaded on his phone of Fieldy (KoRn) playing bass that he uses as a warm up for when he wants to practice something new.
Nyx, of course, loves to draw! He likes to experiment with different kinds of artistic mediums when given the opportunity too, but he's found that his favorite traditional mediums are ink and charcoal. He does do sketching in pencil sometimes, and he has a tablet for his computer so he can draw and upload his works digitally as well, but ink and charcoal are still his favorites by far.
Outside of drawing, Nyx also likes to play video games and watch movies too! His favorite game genres are racing games, rhythm/music based games, shooters, sandbox, multiplayer/party games, and space exploration. Some of his favorite games are Starbound, Crash Team Racing, Saints Row, and Monster Hunter.
As far as movies are concerned he, like Marcus, also likes to watch horror, thriller, and psychological thrillers, but he also has a deep love for many animated movies he used to watch in his youth. Some of his favorite movies are Disney's Robin Hood, Ratatouille, Sweeney Todd, and 13 Ghosts.
Stahli's main hobby is studying the culinary arts! He likes cooking and baking in equal amounts, and specifically likes to study very old recipe books from bygone eras, and vintage cookbooks. He has dreams of one day publishing his own cookbooks full of family recipes that haven't been written down or were lost to the ages, and communes with spirits from the other side to help make this dream a reality!
In addition to this, he also has a deep fondness for gardening. He's used to helping tend to his family garden back home, which is home to all kinds of magical and benign herbs and plants. Getting down in the dirt and getting his hands dirty makes him feel like he's accomplishing a lot. One of his favorite part of his garden is his little earthworm farm. Feeding his worms leftover kitchen scraps started as something purely out of necessity, but over time he's grown overly fond of taking care of his little guys and monitoring their health.
And, of course, his biggest passion (besides cooking) lies in thanatology. Stahli's interest in death, dying, and the world beyond started at a very young age, since he could see spirits ever since he was born. This interest in the afterlife grew only stronger after his unique magic first manifested, and his spirit was temporarily separated from his body. Communing with spirits and helping them lay to rest their unfinished business, as well making journals of the experiences he's had with them, puts him at ease for when it's his time to join them on the other side.
Phobos likes to play video games, but moreso than playing them, he specifically likes collecting video games. Collecting old, vintage games is something of a passion of his, especially if the game is so little known or out of circulation that he has to make his own physical copy of it. He loves collecting physical games, but he also has a dream of making his own homemade arcade cabinet with every retro game he's collected uploaded to it, so he can play them all the way he wants to.
Being someone that has an interest in building his own physical games, Phobos has picked up soldering and programming as two hobbies that go hand in hand. Trying to figure out how to put physical memory boards and motherboards together to hold his precious digital cargo, as well as tweaking with the games he's scavenged up so they can even be playable in the first place, is no easy task! It takes up a lot of his free time and brainpower to put a piece together, but once he figures out how to put the pieces of the puzzle together there's nothing more satisfying to him.
Phobos also has a quiet love for traveling. While most of his time traveling was out of necessity, he's found some love for exploring his local area in his own leisure as well. He likes to try local food spots that he wouldn't otherwise get to try, visit local parks and nature reserves, and dive through back alleys to find weird little shops that most people would otherwise overlook.
Hunting. Vantablack likes hunting. Preferably, they like to do it with their bare hands. What they like to hunt is of course an entirely different story, because if they had their way, they'd be hunting "the most dangerous game", but that's not always an option for them in civilized society. Finding different outlets has given them an appreciation for fishing as well, also bare handed. Whatever they catch, they kill, they eat. Simple, just the way they like it.
They get fidgety and aggressive when they go too long without doing something intensely physical, so they started to pick up whittling to help ease their need to cut into something. Sometimes they get so locked into the act of slowly carving away at something that they end up forgetting to eat and sleep. Perhaps it's not the most healthy of outlets for someone, but Vantablack can handle not taking care of themself better than most people.

An old-school Hot Wheels quartet for today, three kind-of-fantasy cars and one licenced. Today I have to credit Home Bargains for three of these and Poundland for the last. I'm normally not a roadster enthusiast when coupes are an option, but three of these are open to the elements.

Looking damn stylish, the first of these is the oldest if we go by the car itself. Based on a Cadillac Fleetwood V-16 Rumbleseat Roadster from 1934, this Fraser Campbell sculpt is not based to my knowledge on a real car. However, it's one of the most evocative aggressively 1930s designs I've ever seen and it puts me in mind of the most stylised renditions of that era, stuff like the Animated Batman TV series or the opening credits of Poirot on ITV. The oldest car I think I've ever seen that seems to be going fast when it's standing still. Very stylish, although I'll need to revisit the silver detailing I added on the wheel fairings.

Moving on, a very famous and oft-produced casting from the Hot Wheels roster, the Purple Passion. 2024 saw the debut of a model of the Hirohata Merc, a replica of a notorious and very influential 'Kustom' based on a '51 Mercury Club 8 coupe and built by Barris Customs for Bob Hirohata in 1954; I'll tell the real car's whole fascinating story another time. The Purple Passion is also based on the 1951 Mercury and was created by the prolific and groundbreaking Larry Wood. Give that I was amazed by not only how good the Hirohata casting was but also by how much I liked it even though this sort of car is not usually my taste at all, this went straight on my list.

This is part of a 2025 seies called 'designed by' which seems to celebrate famous Hot Wheels designers, which is why he's specifically referenced on the side. As we can see below, the Purple Passion bears notable resemblance to the Hirohata car (2024 original colour scheme at the back, 2025 purple version on the left), but is also distinctly its own thing, not a copy but an interpretation; a cover version, not a rip off. I prefer the Hirohata Merc, but this is certainly an important design. It appeared in 1990 and from my count this 2025 release is the 138th version!

Third is a favourite of mine among fantasy cars, the Glory Chaser. Using styling cues from Italian and British sports racers of the late '50s and early '60s, this car channels Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin and Jaguar almost equally. I have been a lover of cars from this era ever since I first saw pictures of them in my childhood, and this seems to fit right in. I already have the 2022 first release in what Suzanne Vega would call Institution Green and the Gulf blue and orange from 2023 (perfect use of the livery) and I wasn't into the too-modern grey with original teal chrome wheels so I originally skipped this, intending to hold out for the orange one, but that never showed up around here. Poundland seems to have got some older stock in and I found I regretted the skip later despite my misgivings, and since my 1.8mm hex-shank drill bits arrived today, the first order of business when I got in was a wheel swap. Silver aerodiscs suit the grey much better, and I'm much happier with it; I can buy grey and turquoise as team colours now. The wheels went to the metallic teal Fiat 500e, which I've struggled to find good wheels for ever since I got it - I won't entertain those heinous TRAP5 things on anything other than futuristic hypercars.

The only licenced car among today's purchases is the 2022 Morgan Super 3, one of the most interesting interpretations of a 'track toy' I've yet seen. Mostly this type of car is a multi-million pound swoopy wedge with holes and wings and stuff and a kilohorse or two to throw it around. The Super 3 is radically different, aiming to provide a vintage racing experience that emphasises actual driving skill rather than speed and power. It's got a 1.5-litre Ford engine driving its single rear wheel and makes only 118 horsepower - but it weighs only a bit over 600kg, meaning it will likely be extremely nimble and with how low and exposed the driver is, the feel of the speed will likely feel considerably more viscerally real, raw and immediate than the average hypercar. A Morgan 4/4 is the #1 most wanted on my shortlist of cars I would actually like to own, and while I'd certainly like to try the Super 3 out it's not really my cup of tea. However as a Morgan lover I couldn't pass this up. I really hope we see more HW Morgans.

I have no issues with age gap relationships, you do you lol I mean my favorite athlete growing up was 17 years older than me and I was convinced I was gonna marry him (ya know delusional teen girl thoughts) and then he ended up marrying a girl who's only a year older than me and my only thought was - so you're saying there was a chance lol (there was no chances she's a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model and I am definitely not) hahaha
But the fact that these random ass girls on the internet think they know whats best for these grown ass men who they DO NOT know just makes me laugh haha
LOL
No for sure we’ve all had fantasies about whatever older man like my first crush was Aragorn from lord of the rings who was canonically 87.
But seriously As long as it’s legal it’s not anyone’s business. Actually even if it’s not legal it’s not the business of the public but ya know

Meta announced today that it will offer people a tool called AI Studio to build virtual characters with custom personalities, traits, and interests—including ones based on their own personalities. If you're a creator, you'll also be able to have your digital doppelgänger interact with fans in the DMs.
“Every creator can build an AI version of themselves or an assistant that their community can interact with,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during a SIGGRAPH conference fireside chat with Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, the chipmaker at the center of today’s artificial intelligence boom thanks to its all-important GPU chips.
Meta says AI Studio will start rolling out to Instagram Business account users today and will be made available to all Meta users in the US over the next few weeks. The tool will be accessible at ai.meta.com/ai-studio and through the Instagram app, but it also will be possible to access the chatbots through WhatsApp, Messenger, and the web.
Zuckerberg said that he expects users to create custom AI chatbots for entertainment or as personal support tools—for example, role-playing how to ask for a raise or navigate an argument with a friend. “You can basically role-play that and see how the conversation will go, and get feedback on it,” he said.
The company says AI Studio will let users limit who their chatbots interact with and prevent them from discussing certain topics. The AI Studio usage policy prohibits users from representing real persons other than themselves. It would also place off limits historical persons, religious figures, mass murderers, or “objects that could be considered hateful, explicit or illegal.”
In a blog post, Meta touted several chatbots built by celebrities, including “Eat Like You Live There!” a chatbot for dining recommendations made by chef Marc Murphy, and “What Lens Bro,” a bot for photography made by photographer Angel Barclay. It said that several Instagram personalities—Chris Ashley, Violet Benson, Don Allen, and Kane Kallaway—had made chatbot versions of themselves.
Meta's AI Studio handbook says that users can customize a chatbot by providing a detailed description, along with a name and image, and then specifying how it should respond to specific input. Llama will then draw on those instructions to improvise its responses. Meta says Instagram users can “customize their AI based on things like their Instagram content, topics to avoid, and links they want it to share.”
Over the past year, Meta has become an AI success story thanks to its decision to offer robust AI models for free. Last week, the company released a powerful version of its large language model Llama, providing developers, researchers, and startups with free access to a model comparable to the powerful paid model behind OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The company says its new chatbots are all based on the latest version of Llama.
And yet Meta has struggled to find the right tone and niche for its own AI offerings. Last September, the company launched a range of AI chatbots loosely based on real celebrities. These included a fantasy role-play dungeon master bot based on Snoop Dogg, a wisecracking sports bot based on Tom Brady, and an everyday companion inspired by Kendall Jenner.
These bots failed to become big hits, however, and Meta has retired them. Jon Carvill, a spokesman for Meta, said the company had learned from the earlier experiments. “AI Studio is an evolution,” he said.
There is plenty of evidence that users may find fully customizable bots more compelling. A company called Character AI, founded by several ex-Google employees who helped make breakthroughs in AI, has attracted millions of users to its own custom chatbots.
Zuckerberg also touted other new open source AI advances from Meta at SIGGRAPH, held in Denver this year. The company has developed a new tool for identifying the contents of images and video called Segment Anything Model (SAM) 2. The previous version is widely used for image analysis. Meta says SAM 2 could be used to more efficiently analyze the contents of video, for instance. Zuckerberg showed off the technology tracking the cattle roaming his Kauai ranch. “Scientists use this stuff to study coral reefs and natural habitats and evolution of landscapes,” he told Huang.
Earlier in the day, in an on-stage interview with WIRED’s Lauren Goode, Huang said he would “absolutely” want a “Jensen AI” that knows everything he’s ever said, written, and done. “You’ll be able to prompt it, and hopefully something smart gets said,” he said. He could force stock analysts to pepper the bot—instead of him—with questions about the company. “That’s the first thing that has to go,” he said with a laugh.

Which is the best fitness app development company in the UK?
In today’s fast-paced digital world, fitness apps have become a vital tool for individuals and businesses looking to promote healthier lifestyles. The UK is witnessing a significant rise in demand for robust, user-friendly, and feature-rich fitness applications. From personalized workout plans and real-time tracking to gamified challenges and seamless integration with wearables, the scope of fitness app development has expanded rapidly. If you are looking to launch your own fitness app, it’s crucial to partner with the right development company that understands your vision and delivers excellence. The question is, which is the best fitness app development company in the UK?
To determine the best fit, you need to consider several important factors such as experience in building health and sports apps, ability to deliver custom features, technical proficiency, and knowledge of industry compliance. A top-tier sports app development company in the UK will offer scalable, innovative, and tailored app solutions that meet both your business goals and the evolving needs of your users.
One of the fastest-growing trends within the fitness app ecosystem is gamification, often inspired by fantasy sports. Companies that offer fantasy sports app development expertise can apply similar concepts to fitness platforms. This includes creating team-based competitions, tracking leaderboards, and rewarding achievements, all of which enhance user engagement. A fantasy sports app development company brings a strong understanding of real-time updates, scoreboards, and intuitive user experiences-all highly beneficial in the fitness sector.
Moreover, businesses aiming to stand out with niche offerings often seek custom fantasy sports app development solutions. These allow them to introduce unique features like branded challenges, exclusive competitions, and social fitness communities. This custom approach ensures that every feature in your app reflects your brand identity and caters to your specific user base.
Another area seeing increased interest is the crossover between fitness and wagering. With the popularity of fitness challenges that involve placing bets on goal achievement, the integration of sports betting app development services can offer a fresh and motivating experience for users. These apps may encourage users to wager on hitting certain milestones, creating a competitive yet supportive fitness environment. A company with proven experience in sports betting can ensure these features are not only fun but also secure and compliant with UK regulations.
The best fitness app development companies in the UK bring together this blend of fantasy-style engagement, sports-centric design, and cutting-edge tech. They provide cross-platform development, ensuring your app works flawlessly on both iOS and Android. They also integrate advanced analytics to help you monitor user behavior and make data-driven decisions. And for users, features like personalized fitness plans, wearable integration, live coaching, and real-time progress tracking ensure a highly engaging experience.
Choosing the right sports app development company also means looking at their track record. Have they delivered successful apps in the fitness or sports domain? Do they understand backend scalability, data privacy laws, and mobile UX best practices? A great company should offer you not just development services, but also strategic advice on monetization models, such as in-app purchases, subscriptions, or brand partnerships.
When it comes to fantasy-style fitness apps, make sure your development partner is an experienced fantasy sports app development company that can translate real-time engagement strategies from sports into fitness. This expertise ensures your app offers leaderboards, gamified challenges, and user ranking features that drive retention. Moreover, with custom fantasy sports app development, you can shape the app to your audience-whether you're targeting individual athletes, gym communities, or corporate wellness programs.
Additionally, if your business model includes elements of gamified betting or challenges for fitness goals, partnering with a company that also offers sports betting app development services will ensure these features are handled professionally, securely, and in line with compliance requirements.
In the UK, businesses are increasingly looking for comprehensive app development partners that can merge creativity with technology. The right developer will not only build your app but also support your long-term goals through reliable post-launch maintenance, updates, and performance monitoring. They should also help you implement effective marketing tools such as social sharing features and community engagement options that promote organic growth.
In conclusion, the best fitness app development company in the UK is one that offers end-to-end development with a deep understanding of fitness trends, fantasy sports mechanics, and betting integrations. Look for a team that can provide scalable solutions, has a portfolio of successful sports and fitness apps, and is ready to work closely with you to bring your unique idea to life. A company that offers sports app development, fantasy sports app development, custom fantasy sports app development, and sports betting app development services under one roof is your best bet for success.

How to Choose the Right Fantasy Sports App Development Company
Fantasy sports apps have taken the digital gaming industry by storm, offering sports fans an exciting way to engage with their favorite games while competing for real rewards. With this rising demand, many businesses and startups are looking to create their own fantasy sports platforms. But launching a successful fantasy app goes far beyond just having a great idea—it requires choosing the right development partner. Finding the ideal business to create your ideal fantasy app is explained in this blog post by Togwe Private Limited, a pioneer in the production of fantasy sports apps development and marketing.
Why Choosing the Right Development Company Matters?
Your development company is more than just a service provider—it’s your technology partner. A fantasy sports app must deliver real-time experiences, manage thousands of concurrent users, handle payments securely, and remain legally compliant with gaming laws. Only a company with industry-specific knowledge and technical expertise can help you launch a stable, scalable, and engaging fantasy gaming platform.
Look for Industry Experience in Fantasy Sports App Development
Experience in the fantasy sports sector makes a huge difference. Generic app developers may not fully understand the complexities involved in building a fantasy app. On the other hand, a specialized company like Togwe Private Limited has already developed fantasy platforms for cricket, football, kabaddi, and other sports. This experience ensures smoother planning, faster development, and better results. Always review the company’s portfolio, case studies, or live apps to assess their quality and expertise.
Evaluate Their Technical Skills and Technology Stack
Developing a fantasy sports app requires a solid tech foundation. The backend must be powerful enough to process real-time data from sports APIs, manage live contests, and calculate points instantly. Meanwhile, the frontend should offer a seamless and intuitive user experience across devices. The right development company should be proficient in technologies like Node.js, React Native, Flutter, and Firebase, along with secure cloud hosting solutions such as AWS or Google Cloud. A secure payment gateway, real-time leaderboards, user management systems, and an admin panel are all must-haves.
Ensure Legal Knowledge and Regulatory Compliance
One of the most critical aspects of fantasy app development is ensuring compliance with local and national gaming laws. A responsible company will help you implement proper KYC verification, build geo-restriction features for banned states or countries, and ensure your app aligns with laws related to online gaming. At Togwe Private Limited, we stay updated with Indian and international fantasy gaming regulations so our clients stay legally protected.
Analyze Their Customization Capabilities
Every fantasy sports platform has its own unique features and branding requirements. A reliable app development company should offer custom solutions rather than force you into a one-size-fits-all model. Whether you need a cricket-only fantasy platform or a multi-sport app supporting IPL, La Liga, and Pro Kabaddi, the development team should be flexible in delivering exactly what you envision. Custom contest creation, multi-language support, and white-label options are good signs of a capable company.
Ask About Post-Launch Support and Marketing Services Building an app is only the first step. Post-launch, your app will need updates, bug fixes, performance monitoring, and strong marketing support. Make sure your development partner offers ongoing support, especially during tournaments and peak seasons. At Togwe Private Limited, we don’t just develop your app—we help you grow it. Our services include app store optimization (ASO), paid promotions, influencer marketing, and full digital strategy for fantasy gaming platforms.
Check Client Reviews, Testimonials, and Market Reputation
Before making a decision, research the company’s market reputation. Check platforms like Clutch, Google Reviews, and LinkedIn to see what past clients are saying. Reviews provide insights into the company’s reliability, communication, and ability to meet deadlines. If possible, try to speak directly with one or two clients to get first-hand feedback about their experience with the company.
Understand Cost Estimates and Timelines
Fantasy sports app development costs vary depending on complexity, features, and platforms. A good development company will offer transparent pricing with a detailed breakdown. Similarly, the development timeline may range from 2 to 4 months, depending on customization and integrations. Make sure you get a clear proposal with delivery milestones before proceeding.
Why Togwe Private Limited Is the Right Choice
Togwe Private Limited is one of India’s most trusted names in fantasy sports app development and marketing. With years of experience building fantasy apps for cricket, football, and other sports, we combine deep industry knowledge with technical brilliance. From custom app design and secure backend development to legal consulting and post-launch marketing, we provide end-to-end solutions for fantasy sports businesses. Our team is passionate about delivering results and helping clients grow their user base and revenue.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the right fantasy sports app development company is one of the most important decisions you’ll make when starting your fantasy sports business. By partnering with an experienced, transparent, and future-focused company like Togwe Private Limited, you set yourself up for long-term success. We help you build a feature-rich, secure, and legally compliant fantasy sports app that attracts users, delivers excitement, and drives results.

How to Succeed with a Fantasy Cricket App Like Dream11 in 2025
Fantasy cricket is transforming the sports tech space
Fantasy cricket has moved beyond casual gaming—it's now a core part of the digital sports economy. In 2025, cricket fans are no longer just viewers. They want to build teams, compete with friends, and win prizes based on real-time performances. This demand has led to the rise of apps like Dream11, which has not only captured millions of users but also inspired a wave of entrepreneurs to build their own platforms.
If you're looking to launch a product in the fantasy sports domain, cricket offers unmatched user engagement, long seasons, and a passionate global fanbase.
Why you should build a fantasy cricket app this year
To build a fantasy cricket app in 2025, you need to offer more than just basic contests. Today’s users expect smooth interfaces, real-time scoring, secure transactions, and an overall experience that feels fast, fair, and competitive. The goal is to create an app that fans enjoy using before, during, and after every match.
A high-performing fantasy platform should support multiple contest types, allow instant wallet access, and provide frequent updates. This keeps users engaged and returning for more with every game.
Key features that enhance engagement
To stand out in the crowded fantasy app space, your app must focus on features that add value. Live scoring, personalized recommendations, push notifications for match updates, and user-friendly team creation tools are essential. Users also appreciate bonus contests, referral rewards, and loyalty programs that give them more chances to win and play.
Your fantasy app must also be ready to handle thousands of users during popular tournaments like IPL or the ICC World Cup. This demands more than good design—it demands excellent performance behind the scenes.
Backend performance
Success in fantasy sports depends on how well your app performs under pressure. That’s where on demand app development becomes critical. You’ll need infrastructure that supports high-speed data syncing, secure login and payment, and real-time leaderboard updates.
Fantasy apps typically peak during live matches, so your servers must be scalable and your APIs reliable. A slight delay in scoring or a slow wallet response can turn users away. Strong backend foundations ensure that every part of the app functions smoothly when it matters most.
How fantasy apps make money
Fantasy cricket apps follow a variety of monetization models. These include contest entry fees, in-app purchases, advertising partnerships, and premium subscriptions. Some apps also offer exclusive analytics or expert picks as paid features.
What matters most is transparency. Clear rules, visible scoring systems, and fair prize distribution build user trust. When users feel confident in how your platform works, they’ll participate more—and even refer friends.
Going mobile: Where real engagement happens
In 2025, most fantasy sports users are on smartphones. That makes mobile app development essential. A fast, responsive mobile app allows users to create teams on the go, get real-time alerts, and enter contests within seconds.
Apps also support personalization, push notifications, offline modes, and smooth wallet operations. When done right, a mobile-first approach leads to higher retention, more daily active users, and better revenue.
Final thoughts
Fantasy cricket isn’t just a booming trend—it’s a growing business with long-term potential. In 2025, building a successful app like Dream11 takes a mix of great UX, powerful backend technology, and smart marketing. But most importantly, it requires a deep understanding of what fans expect from a digital sports experience.
Focus on performance, fairness, and user satisfaction, and you can create a fantasy platform that earns trust—and wins big.
