What advice do you have for keeping a fence in good shape?
Continually check your fence for any signs of damage, and replace or repair any sections that require it as needed.
Prune back any plants that are close to the fence to prevent them from growing into it or totally covering it.
If you want to protect the wood and maintain the appearance of your fence, paint it using a high-quality outdoor paint approved for use on wood fences.
To occasionally remove dirt, mildew, or other debris from your fence, use a pressure washer.
To prevent pests and water damage, fill in any gaps or cracks in the fence as needed with caulk or wood putty.
Periodically check the stability of the posts and, if necessary, reinforce them with more dirt or concrete.

To maintain the good looks and functionality of your fence, replace any broken boards or fence pieces with new ones.
To make the wood last longer, apply a sealer or preservative to it sometimes.

y'know i really miss doing fun physical activities that would regularly fuck up my body, like actually, i miss putting in so much work that i would come away grinning and mottled with bruises, i miss the sore muscles that meant i had put in all the effort i could, i miss complaining about an instructor working us too hard but it just meant they knew we could do it with the right push, i miss the constructive ways i could destroy myself instead of just rotting from existence

lucky me, I saw FOUR kitties on my walk today
...although none of them wanted to be pet. they all just warily watched me make kissy faces at them and sing little songs about how cute they were, and then went on watching me as I gave them space and kept going.
