Week 5. During this week, we concentrated on developing the Value Proposition, which is a method for visualizing, designing, and testing how we provide value for our customers. We developed it based on the information that we gathered and analyzed.
We saw the value proposition canvas as consisting of two distinct components. When looking at this image, you can see that square one represents the design/features that we will be aiming for when developing the ukay application. And circle one contains specific information on the job of the customers, their difficulties in engaging ukay, and the solution or value that the customers will derive from engaging ukay.
This work is difficult to conceptualize, but we end up simplifying it and making it sabotable.
We will continue to work as a team to complete the following task.

Week 5 - Hansik
October 21st 2017
Free meal of the week! (oops)
This week is the chance for me to learn how to cook Korean cuisine. with Hyungsoo Yim (Korean Food Researcher) as our guest lecture, he explained and demonstrate 4 Korean cuisine from meat (my favourite!) to kimchi. I was so amazed on how he could finish prepare and make all the four types of food in an hour while still engaging with us. But this week class feels a bit noisy, probably because they’re having the same feeling as I do (like muttering the words and talking to each other on how could that be possible) well, we’re talking about someone who owns a restaurant in New Malden so there’s no doubt that he can cook in such a professional level.
I have a big interest with cooking (but not pastries since I couldn’t make any of them lol). So I’ve been looking forward to this class ever since I applied for K-Pop Academy. Since I’m working as a kitchen staff in Japanese restaurant which serves Korean food as well, plus I cook my meal by myself it’s such a great opportunity to finally cook Korean food myself (as in, the only Korean food I ever made was bibimbap, which probably the easiest food you could ever make). And this week activity was making our own Korean food! We formed a team of two (me and Ildi worked together at this time) and we made seafood pancake and tofu salad!

Though sadly we didn’t win this week’s activity but I’m having a lot of fun! Working with her was such a bless too since she’s really good at platting while I’m really suck at it lol!

FIFTH WEEK
WEEK 5 - The Project
On the one hand, my co-worker and I kept testing MoodleCloud version. We are trying to compare the version installed in the school server with the cloud-based one to verify the performance in each scenario. The server of the school keeps shutting down daily and it could put Moodle operation into risk in the future. Next week, we will be preparing a business case to the directors of the village to communicate with them the pros and cons of either version. I am positive that they can make a decision towards the best possible solution. On the other hand, I started to work with the Salesforce developer from NYC in order to make some progress on the deliverable demo for the MEAL team. I am learning how to create objects, fields and relationships in the sandbox environment which I find it very interesting. Nevertheless, I feel a little bit in a rush because there is only half-way left and the team needs to be trained on the usage of the system. If the demo is not delivered on time, I will have to find a way on how to train them so that they can be more familiar with the interface and the basic features of Salesforce.

Technopreneurship Journey
The Fifth week of my technopreneurship journey. This week was so busy, because we have an upcoming event for this subject. We had our 2 days Techno Bootcamp seminar, we have to practice and be ready for the pitching competition. This is how our team prepared for it, we divided the parts of the lean canvass and made it individually. We picked if who is going to represent our group for the competition so we chose our CEO. We helped him prepare by letting him practice and of course by encouraging him. In the first day of the seminar, me and my team did not saw each other because I was assigned to the registration but in the afternoon we made a way so we can come together to the seminar. In the seminar there was a part there that we should be in our team because we will have a practice on how to pitch. At first we were in doubt, but along the way we decided to try it but unfortunately we ran out of time. After the seminar we decided to meet up, by then we were complete because one of our member was unable to attend the said seminar because they had they’re general assembly for their course so, after that we discuss for the upcoming competition and finalize the lean canvass. Then, the competition came Top 11 will be chosen in the different colleges and in the Top 11 there will be again chosen for Top 3. Unfortunately, we were not chosen but at least we had an experience on how it is to pitch with panels. And we had an idea on how to pitch properly on the next pitching.
Our team experienced issues, mainly fixing each schedules. There was a time when me and my cpe partner felt that it’s only us in this journey. Were always left alone, so when we had a chance to open up what we feel they were also open to listen and accepts their lacks on this team and promise that they would try their best to fix it. I want us to work together with this because we were made as a team.

WEEK 5 - Lake Bunyonyi
It is definitely the most beautiful lake I've seen outside Colombia. Located in the southern part of Uganda (neighboring country from Rwanda) 20 minutes away from Kabale the main city in that area. In our arrival to Kabale, the group of fellow graduates and I were guided by a taxi driver who picked us up nearby the bus stop. Throughout the journey to the lake, I had the impression that the car was going uphill, but Bunyonyi's altitude is 1,900 meters (around 6,233 feet) above sea level; not that bad though. When one arrives to this paradisiacal spot, one feels to be inside of a painting. The lake is the habitat of more than 200 bird species and it is supposedly one of the few lakes around the area in which people can still swim without catching parasites. It is surrounded by mountains with arable land. The photos from above were taken at the Eco lodge in the Itambira island where we stayed the night. A place full of relaxation, nature, above-average-food and exotic bird species. Never thought to find this gem in East Africa!
