The original plan for today's post was going to be homemade hot cross buns (as it's Good Friday). But then I got a phone call from home which changed all that. This is Maggie. She wasn't even 12 months old when she moved in with us. Almost immediately, this became her cushion. I'd made it from leftover faux fur from a school project, my very first cushion. For almost 12 years, it's sat in the window of my bedroom, next to my desk, and its the most likely place to find her sleeping. Within easy reach of both scritches and sunbeams. Only, not any more. Today we made the decision to put her to sleep. She's had health problems for a while but today they got to the point that it's not fair to her anymore.
