Nuovo Vocabolario del Virus: “Passeggiata”. Il Ministero ci concede di passeggiare con i figli. Io rifiuto, il mio rifugio è con i grandi camminatori: Robert Walser, Hölderlin, Basho (che insegna la poesia come “arte della spada”)

“Passeggiata”: Il caos – va sempre così – è incubato nel linguaggio, un incubo. Il Ministero dell’Interno, tramite circolare inviata ai Prefetti della Repubblica, ha equiparato i figli ai cani. Insomma, è lecito portare a passeggio i cani, in era di virus. Ma pure i figli (purché minori). La circolare del 31 marzo si esprime così: “per quanto riguarda gli spostamenti di persone fisiche, è da intendersi consentito, ad un solo genitore, camminare con i propri figli minori in quanto tale attività può essere ricondotta alle attività motorie all’aperto, purché in prossimità della propria abitazione”. Il Ministero concede ai genitori – uno per volta – di “camminare” con i figli, purché si limitino a fare il giro del quartiere.

Attenti: a una “concessione” – camminare un genitore alla volta con i figli, intorno a casa… al guinzaglio? – seguirà una restrizione. I governi agiscono secondo la pratica atavica del bastone&carota. Ciò vuol dire che la clausura durerà ancora a lungo – ai figli, d’altronde, sarà abbuonato l’anno scolastico. Ogni sistema concentrazionario – che si consolida con l’emergenza: tramutare un invito in obbligo è la manna e la miniera dei governi – si stabilisce nello tsunami di decreti, nella fioritura dei provvedimenti. Importante è scatenare il contrasto, evocare il fraintendimento: più le parole sono vaghe più si può giocare di fino, tra gli interstizi del senso, ingabbiando, gabbando. Così, il primo aprile – pesce d’aprile! – il Ministero pubblica un chiarimento alla circolare (per altro chiarissima), dato che le Regioni stanno insorgendo, non bisogna, proprio ora, “abbassare la guardia”. Eccolo: “è stato specificato che la possibilità di uscire con i figli minori è consentita a un solo genitore per camminare purché questo avvenga in prossimità della propria abitazione e in occasione spostamenti motivati da situazioni di necessità o di salute. Per quanto riguarda l’attività motoria è stato chiarito che, fermo restando le limitazioni indicate, è consentito camminare solo nei pressi della propria abitazione”. Parole, parole, parole. Garbugli.

La “precisazione del Viminale” riguarda “attività motoria e passeggiate con i figli”. La parola del giorno, appunto, è passeggiata. La passeggiata non è una marcia, ha in sé il senso del gratuito, dell’indefinito, dell’affronto. Si ‘passa’ attraverso qualcosa quasi per caso. Desideriamo tanto, in questo tempo fermo, in cui il cielo è rigoglioso come un prato e gli uccelli garantiscono un filare di canti, passeggiare; continuamente ci è detto che passare al di là del virus “non sarà una passeggiata”. Si passeggia costeggiando un paesaggio, ma soprattutto per scoprirsi spaesati. La quiete della passeggiata è rotta dal “rito di passaggio”: si cresce sanguinando, provandosi, nel giogo del fuoco. Senza il rito il passeggiatore non passa: resta l’elegante flâneur del tempo perduto, delle impotenti possibilità. Senza ambizioni, il passeggiatore varca il bosco, la sua mano è un sole per il cervo e un abbeveratoio per il lupo; il flâneur, educato all’insolito, ambivalente, passeggia per la città, ammirando uno stucco, stucchevole, un poco schifiltoso.

Il grande passeggiatore della letteratura europea è Robert Walser. “Un mattino, preso dal desiderio di fare una passeggiata, mi misi il cappello in testa, lasciai il mio scrittorio o stanza degli spiriti, e discesi in fretta le scale, diretto in strada. Sulle scale mi venne incontro una donna dall’aspetto di spagnola, di peruviana o di creola, che ostentava non so quale pallida e appassita maestà”. Questo è l’incipit – screziato di esotico – del suo racconto più noto, La passeggiata. Anche Nathaniel Hawthorne chiamava il suo studio “stanza degli spiriti”, o “stanza stregata”; d’altronde, la sua passeggiata sulle rive scabre di Liverpool, tra arbusti, dune e il mare grigio, insieme a Herman Melville, è letteratura pura. In effetti, potremo scrivere una storia della letteratura per passeggiate. Se la passeggiata concessa dallo Stato è pari all’ora d’aria del carcerato, quella di Walser ha una mistica libertà: “Il mondo mattutino che mi si stendeva innanzi mi appariva così bello come se lo vedessi per la prima volta”. Il passeggiatore, stordito dallo stupore, potrebbe non fare mai più ritorno dalla sua passeggiata: l’imprevisto è provvidenza.

In una delle sue Passeggiate con Robert Walser, Carl Seelig ricorda il giorno – era il 2 gennaio 1944 – in cui i due passeggiatori decisero di “rendere omaggio a Hölderlin”. Il grande poeta tedesco ha dato destino poetico al passeggiatore, o meglio, al “viandante”. Il poeta è un vagabondo, accetta la transitorietà come norma dell’imperituro, vive nell’incavo dell’insicurezza, non sa chi è e non gli importa: vaga tra i mondi e le identità, non ha nulla perché deve custodire tutto. Tra le diverse versioni di Der Wanderer preferisco quella raccolta nel quaderno di Homburg:

Sud e Nord sono in me. Mi infiammò l’estate d’Egitto col suo alito mi rese pietra, E l’inverno del polo in me uccise la vita, Ardevo e guardavo lontano nelle aride distese Africane; dall’Olimpo scendeva una pioggia di fuoco. E dal profondo sentivo sospirare la terra, E volentieri tra le nuvole nascondeva il suo volto, Non con il male di un’amorevole freccia, come il Dio dell’amore Ma con duro scettro la colpiva il raggio infuocato. Lontana, la montagna riarsa fuggiva come uno scheletro vagante, Cavo e spoglio e solo, il suo cranio guardava dall’alto.

Durante quella passeggiata, Walser esce con uno dei suoi aforismi, limati nel diamante: “Quando uno cerca il bello, il più delle volte gli viene gentilmente incontro”.

L’opera di Basho, il grande poeta e monaco giapponese, è frutto di perpetue passeggiate. Uno dei suoi fascicoli più belli è stato scritto nel “Romitaggio della Dimora Illusoria”, “una capanna abbandonata” con “la tettoia avviluppata da artemisie e da bambù nani”, da cui “filtra l’acqua”, “rifugio di volpi e tassi”. Il fascicolo di haiku, introdotti dal racconto dei suoi vagabondaggi, s’intitola, appunto, Il Romitaggio della Dimora Illusoria. Il poeta valica monti, varca fiumi, accede in foreste insondabili: vive veleggiando sul caso, consapevole che ogni forma è vana, un incidente onirico, un sonno perfezionato (“Svanita in un sogno è la gloria di tre generazioni”). “Non intendo dire che io mi nasconda tra prati e montagne perché odi il mondo e ami la solitudine. Sono piuttosto simile a chi, fragile di salute, evita il contatto con la gente. Ripenso agli anni e ai mesi infelicemente vissuti, alle colpe commesse a causa della mia inadeguatezza… ora tempro il mio corpo abbandonandolo a venti incostanti, mi affatico l’animo per cogliere la bellezza di un fiore e di un uccello”. Il vagabondaggio è essenziale all’opera del poeta. Ryunosuke Akutagawa ha scritto che per Basho la poesia era come “l’arte della spada”, riportando le memorie di un suo allievo: “Comporre è come tagliare un grosso albero. Bisogna essere capaci di colpire al limite dell’elsa con un fendente, come quando si spacca in due un melone. Come quando si affondano i denti in una pera”.

Scrivere come affondare i denti in una pera. Il poeta morde – altri mangeranno ciò che lui ha preparato.

Mi è concesso passeggiare – posso concedermi di rifiutare ogni concessione. La finestra della stanza, già da tempo, è un Everest – gli occhi procedono in rampicata. (d.b.)

JA-FUN

Isa sa nakalista sa aking bucket list ay ang makapunta sa bansang Japan. Sa kalagitnaan ng buwan ng Abril 2017, bumisita ako ng Japan kasama ang aking pamilya. Kami'y nakarating sa Japan ng alas-8 ng umaga. Pagkalabas ng airport, ang kalangitan ay puting-puti tanda ng malamig na simoy ng hangin dahil sa 11 degrees Celsius na temperatura nito. Pagkarating ng bus, kami'y dumerecho sa aming tirahan upang maibaba ang aming mga bagahe, kasama ang aming tour guide at mga kapwa pilipino na pumunta ring Japan.

Ang unang tourist apot na aming pinuntahan sa Tokyo ay ang Asakusa Sensoji Temple. Maraming turista ang dumadalo rito dahil hindi lamang templo ang makikita rito kundi mga sari-saring mga kainan at paninda rin. Madami ring Hapon na nakasuot ng kanilang tradisyunal na kimono ang gumagala sa temple na ito. Pagkatapos dumalaw sa temple, kami ay nag shabu-shabu sa lunch, at namili ng mga damit sa isang kilalang pamilihan sa Japan.

Kinabukasan, kami ay pumunta sa isang theme park kung saan madadatnan ang Mt. Fuji. Ngunit sa di inaasahang masamang panahon, sarado ang mga rides sa lpob ng theme park dahil sa sobrang lamig, at natatakpan ng fog at ulap ang Mt. Fuji. Bagaman, kami parin ay nalibang at natuwa dahil unang beses namin makakita ng niyebe. Sa ikatlong araw ng aming stay sa Japan, pumunta kami ng Disney World at ang nag-iisang Disney Sea sa buong mundo. Sa buwan ng Abril at Mayo lumalabas ang cherry blossoms sa Japan kaya hinuli namin ang pagpupunta sa Ueno park sa aming itinerary. Nais kong makakapunta muli sa Japan pero sa susunod ko na bisita, ang aking pupuntahan ay sa Osaka at Kyoto.

After a breach between Earth and the netherworld opens up over New York, humans and creatures from other dimensions become trapped in an impenetrable bubble that surrounds the city. Le Meraviglie del Giappone…

Un viaggio d’autunno è quello che Alidays Travel Experience propone per scoprire il Giappone. Terra di imperatori e civiltà millenaria, oggi rappresenta un esempio di equilibrio tra antico e moderno.

Oltre 2000 anni di storia, tradizioni, religione, creazioni architettoniche e artistiche, che l’itinerario intende ripercorrere partendo da Tokyo, dove è previsto un walking tour che tocca anche il santuario scintoista Meiji, il Palazzo Imperiale, il Tempio Senso-ji (il più antico della città) e Ginza, il quartiere dello shopping. A Kamakura, città adagiata sulla baia di Sagmay, si ammira la grande statua di Amida Buddha, colosso di bronzo di 14 metri nel tempio di Kōtoku-in, e i complessi sacri di Hasa-Dera (dedicato alla dea Kannon) e Tsurugaoka Hachiman risalente al 1068. Nella stazione termale di Hakone poi, è prevista la sistemazione in una tipica ryokan, una raffinata tipologia di struttura ricettiva risalente all’epoca di Edo all’insegna dell’essenzialità e della rigenerazione, grazie ai momenti di relax tra vapori caldi e terapeutici delle terme. L’itinerario prosegue poi con un’escursione verso l’area vulcanica di Owakudani, ottimo punto di osservazione del Monte Fuji seguita dalla crociera sul Lago Ashi. Tappa successiva Takayama, dove non mancheranno le visite al Museo del Takayama Matsuri Yatai Kaika che espone carri allegorici in legno dipinto e decorato (yakai) e il Kusakabe Folk Museum, ricco di oggetti artigianali legati all’arte karakuri. Visita emozionante sara quella presso il villaggio di Shirakawago (patrimonio dell’UNESCO) nella valle Shogawa, un borgo che sembra uscito dalle favole: case colorate, in stile gassho-sukuri dai tetti di paglia spioventi e i campi di riso che le circondano.

A Kanazawa ci si immerge nell’armonia naturale dello storico Giardino di Kenrokuen e si partecipa all’immancabile rito del tè in una delle più longeve chashitsu del luogo.

Ultima tappa Kyoto, con la numerosissima concentrazione di luoghi di culto buddisti ed edifici religiosi, di cui ben 17 rientrano nei patrimoni UNESCO, e da cui parte l’escursione alla città di Nara (capitale del Sol Levante nel corso del ‘700), dove visitare, tra gli altri, il tempo Todaiji con la statua di Vairocana Buddha di 14 metri.

A little something different

You know, something like two worlds merging is the sort of thing people say is impossible, that it’s mere pseudoscience. I used to be one of these people, sure I wished for our world to be something more magical, interesting, perhaps dangerous. I really should’ve been more careful about my wishes, because here I am starting at a brave new world where many of the landmarks from a videogame have appeared in our modern world, along with their people. It caused massive wars, great divides over what the humans had wanted, incredible mystery, but also great danger spilled forth. How did this happen? Hell if I know, Hell if anyone knows, no one can explain what happened to cause this, all we know now is that we have to be able to cooperate with each other or face being wiped out.

Now I can see one of your questions right away, who struck whom first? If I were a betting man, which I’m not, I’d go all in that the humans were the first to strike. I’m ashamed that my own race would stoop so low, but to be fair it’s not something that a sensitive person to these things wouldn’t have seen coming. I just wish that we had been the best example of humanity that day instead of it’s worst. And because of a poor set of decisions from a few, the many paid for those mistakes in blood. Even I wasn’t exempt from this, my family was a good kind generous family, and while we may have had some issues here or there we never tried to wrong others.

I lost both of my parents and was torn from my sister, luckily I was old enough to still stay in our family home in the mountains. We were a family in love with accruing and protecting knowledge, it wasn’t always the greatest or most paying job, but it was something worth protecting. But it was also that love that tore the family apart, now depending on whether my sister’s alive or not I may be the only surviving member of a clan of knowledge protectors. Thankfully because of our family status nobody touched my home again, since to destroy my home would be to destroy thousands of years worth of history and culture and nobody wanted to play the role of a reviled destroyer in that respect.

However to say that the survival of my little sanctuary was and is a miracle is an understatement. Many governments went under as a result of the new countries, nations and races that popped up as a result of the Unknown Event and without stable leaders to govern all the people things quickly descended into madness. Roving bands of madmen leading large throngs of confused and scared people slaughtered those who weren’t with them, cults of personality sprang up like weeds, and many serial killers who hid because of corporal punishment now roamed and killed freely in daylight. And before long the human population which had been 7 billion strong, now dwindled to a few hundred million. That may seem too silly to be possible at first, but with the sheer amount of people who went boo-koo coo-koo it makes a bit more sense. Thankfully the nations of the new peoples in the world, Zoras, Gerudos, Ritos, Hylians, Sheikah, Iga, Gorons and Kokiri all did their best to stabilize the situation. That’s right the world that had fused with our Earth was the noble game land of Hyrule.

And that being said I should point out where each landmark from Hyrule has landed in our world now. Zora’s Domain is nestled within the northern area right by the Great Lakes in North America, However there have been different types of Zora and so there may be various other domains elsewhere. Hyrule and the Hylians have taken residence within Britain, where specifically I’m not entirely sure yet. The Gerudo along with their fortress has risen from the sands of the Middle East, thankfully their presence there has stabilized the region slightly. Death Mountain has appeared in Africa and the Gorons eager to share their wealth and knowledge has greatly improved the lives of many of the tribes there. Sheikah Village appeared in Japan near Mt. Fuji, they blended in well with the culture of Japan and their ninpou was mixed with the ninpou of the Japanese masters who proudly shared their secrets to a tribe that would treasure them greatly. The Iga tribe, rival to the Sheikah also appeared in Japan and has been eagerly trying to undermine their once sister tribe’s efforts. The Rito Tribe has Spread among the colder and more mountainous regions of the world, but their mighty village with the great perch for Vah Medoh is located in Russia’s Ural Mountains Their music and clothes spreading forth and bringing delight and comfort to many. Finally the Kokiri Forest sprouted forth in the Amazon Rainforest, not much is known about the area right now since any attempt to get in was met in futility.
