Katherine:
The students of Laverre Gym are teammates who are aiming for the same goal, but they're also my rivals.
Well, that's what I think, at least…
It would be nice if everyone else felt the same, too.

Unit Teambuilding - Katherine (Furisode Girl)
I am 0 and 2 on these Furisode girls. When Blossom?
General Overview Katherine is a Fairy Tech with some nice traits. Sweet Scent is mostly to maximize her own sync nuke, but she does so well. Charm, as a single-target debuff, has its own issues, but is generally excellent for Gauntlet stages. Her TM boosts +2 Sp Atk/+1 crit, which is solid. Dazzling Gleam is poor DPS but as you may have guessed, she's either supportive Tech or nuke. Thankfully, she has nice traits on both ends, and appreciates some easily managed partnerships overall. Katherine is likely to do well for herself, I think.
Team 1: Katherine, SS Mina/Iono, Lucian Lucian is a godsend for many, but especially for a girl who needs Pecking Order support and appreciates Sp Def drops. Lucian is ideal for this, and managing team gauge with SS Mina, who provides the Fairy Zone. Katherine does then need to rely on her TM, but as a 2MP Mina's Team Sharp Entry saves it, so you can Mina sync then spend the second cycle getting to Katherine's. Or, if you forego Mina, you can do what everyone else does and use NC Blue. Or Iono, if you want. Something that caps those needed offensive stats for her.
Team 2: Katherine, Penny, Sylveon/Mina If it works for Valerie, it works here. Penny is an ideal partner to special Fairies, providing the rebuff and Sp Def drops. Sylveon gives Zone for max firepower, while Mina sets up Charm for Katherine. I wish we had more Growl users.
Final Thoughts I'm not really going to sit here and wax philosophical about Katherine. She's a free unit and performs as such. Fairy is still somewhat under-represented, and I think she's a pretty good addition overall. Better than Valerie, anyway. Which is sad.

two years ago a reddit user made an excellent tierlist showing what pronouns all the masters ex characters refer to themselves as. i am obsessed with this but a lot of characters have been introduced to the game since this person's post. so, does anyone know what first-person pronouns any of these characters use?
Ball Guy (I thought I read somewhere that they use boku? Which is interesting since that carries a masculine connotation)
The Hisui characters: Adaman, Irida, Rei, and Akari - do they use older/archaic pronouns since they're from the past? Does Rei speak differently than them since he's fulfilling the MC role and is originally from the present?
Eusine
Rose (I believe in main series games he uses watakushi)
Oleana
Olympia
Drasna
Nemona (what are the odds she uses boku or ore)
Dana & Morgan - their sisters use more juvenile pronouns to indicate their younger status, so I assume Dana uses something normal like (w)atashi and then Morgan uses something more grand like watakushi
Paulo
Tina
The Team Rocket admins
Palmer
Argenta
Lenora
Ryuki (100% chance of ore)
Penny
Elaine
Eve
Furisode Girl Katherine
Iono (she has to use something ridiculous)
Grusha
Chase
Petey
Riley
Geeta
Tierno
Dahlia
Volo
Jacq
Rika (she's giving boku)
Poppy
Larry
Kabu
Klara & Avery
Greta
Arven
Additional question: the tier list says Anabel uses watashi, but I saw a tweet claiming she uses boku? Is that a lie? Or maybe she only uses boku in Emerald? She does have a shorter, arguably "less feminine" haircut in that game, so maybe she was supposed to be a tomboy?

Pokemon X & Y was released a few years ago, but I wanted to draw these girls for quite a while!
Drawing the four was quite fun! This was based off of a scrapped drawing attempt I did during... 2017? Katherine and Linnea got brand-new poses compared to the others.
Which one is your favorite Furisode Girl? I like Kali and Katherine myself.
Alternate Versions elsewhere...

New alts and also that one free pair!
Clair is looking fine. If you're going All Ramped Up, I honest to god think your best bet is cutting your losses and running her with a field effect. But if you're Lisia, that doesn't work, so I guess Aggravation is your next best bet. If going Berserk Bunch, you can take Team Fist Bump instead if you want the Aggravation option. However, there's also the option of Half HP Restore MP. This lets her do +4 to both offenses for faster-paced CS content where she's likely knocked down much quicker. For instance...when you need a field effect and are taking Offenses +5, putting her life in greater danger. Clair can forego Hit and Heal and take the 20% additional bonus under that field effect for team move damage, get the MP recovery for even better team support, and First Aid. She's pretty well done, all things considered. I like that resume.
Wallace is interesting. While I'm kind of a bastard to him because I think he should've been Ghost, his damage output is nice, and his grid gets what he wants. Simple Fire focus on sync and some setup, including the potential to cap two people with a lucky MPR, or Ghost DPS focus with 60% debuff rate and 90% bonus damage each shot. It's not Shauntal, but who among us can be? At least he gets the Max move.
Volkner is a joke of a man who can do nothing right. DeNA continues its ruthless crusade against Electric-type F2P, producing another stinker. Volkner is so bad he can't reasonably get to either Double Down without giving up his best utility trait in Unfortuitous. I think he has a decent career ahead of him in Gauntlet, but this doesn't do much to solve for my ongoing woes in CS. Electric feels like it's always one of the hardest to clear on an F2P budget, especially with modern stages. "Just EX Hau" is out of the question.
You know, Katherine's not too bad. I actually respect this. MGR9 on her debuff moves with Fast Track 9 right there is excellent placement for gauge management. The raw sync focus actually gets everything she wants. Personally, I think the best use of her is any support that caps Sp Atk/crit for her, Lucian to debuff Atk for her Pecking Order and debuff her desired defensive stat for raw damage, while she debuffs evasion. I think this is a legitimate winning combo. She does really well for herself.
