okay wait laughingstock concept Incoming: so im imagining some of the neighbors (maybe Julie & Frank) noticing that Barnaby & Howdy are a lil fruity, yk yk. and Julie's like damn, i guess we have to play matchmaker here.

so naturally they wind up getting the whole neighborhood involved. everybody's a wingman here. Poppy's dropping hints when Howdy drops off groceries, Wally is constantly asking Barnaby to go get him things from the bodega, etc etc. Howdy and Barnaby are facing this sudden change in town-wide behavior with slight concern and bemusement

eventually - lets say Julie, Sally, and Wally - get Barnaby into the bodega and then abruptly leave like "don't have too much fun without us you two *wink wink nudge nudge*". once they're gone (read: very obviously hiding outside & watching through the window) Barnaby & Howdy turn to each other like:

Barnaby: you think we should tell them we're already married?

Howdy: let them have their fun - they'll figure it out eventually

Nobody talk to me i’m thinking about how Mags was 5 when the Hunger Games first started. She had to live through those games for all 75 years of them, 64 of them as a Victor. Think about how many tributes she mentored, how many kids she watched the deaths of, how many she felt responsible for. How much she suffered at the hands of the Capitol.

And she helped the rebellion. She volunteered to go into the games again at 80 years old, to save the life of someone she loved. She was part of the plan to help Katniss survive. Ultimately, she gave her life for the rebellion. She died in an arena. She died as part of the very games that tormented her existence for 75 years. And she never got to see the results. She never lived to see Panem free from the games and the capitol. She never got to see peace.

Taryn: Because my questions made sense the minute you walked out of that building and there was lipstick smeared all over your face. Then you gave me this look, something about it made me realize I wasn’t the first and I don’t think I’d be the last. 

Atlas: [ flatly ] We didn’t even catch each other's name, that’s how little it meant. 

Taryn: [ barely a whisper ] Oh now that’s incredibly fucked up… Was that supposed to make me feel better?

Atlas: Bee-

Taryn: [ voice breaks ] Was it worth it? [ pauses ] Don’t… Answer that. I’m… Gonna go now.

Thinking about Bad Toman Kisaki slowly becoming more and more disenchanted by Takemichi over the years as he watches him devolve into a selfish, heartless delinquent who always does as he's told, eventually becoming a Toman Exec who quickly accepts murder orders. How this is exactly what Kisaki wanted, to keep Takemichi close and to have him suffering, but he still almost hates seeing Takemichi devolve from a willingness to be hurt for others to fearful obedience of authority. How he's simultaneously disgusted by the villain Takemichi has become and delighted by the grip he has on his life. How though this is a way of exacting punishment on Takemichi for stealing Hinata's heart, by the time Kisaki holds the gun to Takemichi's head, his hero has already been gone for quite some time.

He must be shocked to see Takemichi cry for probably the first time in years after Chifuyu gets shot. When Takemichi begins to cry, Kisaki basically asks him if he's still a crybaby after all their time together and says he's disappointed. I'm not exactly sure why he says he's disappointed, but there are at least two probable reasons.

First, he's disappointed that he wasn't able to fully remove Takemichi from his old crybaby self. He wanted to erase the "crybaby hero" from Takemichi, to make Takemichi terminally unrecognizable from his "crybaby hero" self.

Second, he could be disappointed that Takemichi, who hadn't seemed like his old self in years, is only returning moments before death. Kisaki misses the old Takemichi, his old hero.

I think Kisaki is conflicted between these two very different sentiments here, because while he chose to keep Takemichi around for twelve years and make him suffer, he also always idolized the hero Takemichi used to be and probably missed him very much.
