Use live captions to give subtitles to your Microsoft Teams meetings (Generally Available) Sorry, what was that? Turn on live captions during your Teams meetings to help you never miss what somebody is trying to say. The power of Teams allows us to work from anywhere and with team members from around the globe; which means sometimes we join meetings from crowded airport terminals, or perhaps are working with people who have different levels of language proficiency. Now, live captions can help you improve the accessibility and effectiveness of meetings by turning on captions, and reading what people are saying in real time. This is a valuable feature for those who are deaf or hard of hearing, have different levels of language proficiency, or are connecting from loud locations. This feature was in private preview but is now generally available to all Teams customers. We are starting with support for English language and will be rolling out more languages soon. Store recordings in-region storage when Stream is not available in Go Local Teams meeting recordings are stored in Microsoft Stream cloud storage. Tenant administrators have an option to go to the admin center to turn ON/OFF “Allow cloud recording” setting for Teams meetings. Cloud recordings are currently not allowed/enabled for customers where Stream service is not available in the corresponding Go Local region. We are going to change the existing behavior by enabling “Allow cloud recording” and turning it ON by default. This change will store the recordings in the respective in-region data center.

QBot is a solution designed for classroom teaching scenarios which allow teachers, tutors and students to intelligently answer each other's questions within the Microsoft Teams collaboration platform. Partner Center, the same system used by Windows and Xbox developers, replaces the Seller Dashboard tool, and will provide a simpler, more reliable, and more streamlined experience for developers. Creating offers and app purchase: coming soon We believe that a healthy app ecosystem requires a viable business model for partners. This (Northern Hemisphere) summer, we will allow partners to create per-seat offers for their Teams apps and integrations. These offers will be available for partners to purchase licenses on behalf of their customers or for end-users to purchase directly through AppSource. These licenses can then be used to deploy Teams applications to specific users using app setup policies. App distribution: app setup policies As an admin, you can use app setup policies to customize Microsoft Teams to highlight the apps that are most important for your users. You choose the apps to pin and set the order that they appear in the app bar, for desktop and mobile. App setup policies let you showcase apps that users in your organization need, whether they were built by Microsoft, our partners, or your developers. You can also use app setup policies to manage how built-in features appear, inside of Microsoft Teams, for your organization. Managing user access to apps via policy You can now manage access to apps for individual users through App permission policy. This policy lets you control who in your organization can interact with specific apps & integrations. You can also limit access to apps built by your organization, letting you phase the app rollout. In addition to user policies, you can define org-wide settings to block certain apps outright for your tenant. App Certification pilot Today, before IT teams enable applications and services in their organizations, they are often reviewed across a wide range of security and compliance criteria. We want to make this easier and more transparent for Microsoft Teams apps. The App Certification program will streamline the process of gathering and reviewing partner app information related to its security, data handling, and compliance practices. We are gathering this information from our partners, combining it with publicly available information on each app, and making it accessible in one central location, in a consistent format, for all our partner apps. Quite often, messages are only the beginning of an interaction; they need to be followed-up on, turned into notes, or used to kick-off workflows in other systems. With Message Actions your app can initiate those actions directly from the message, closing the collaboration loop and keeping the communication lines alive. New ways for bots to power key workflows, including in private chats We are enhancing the Teams experience by launching a new UI-based way of interacting with bots to complete tasks and workflows. With these new capabilities, you can take action on individual messages and post dynamic cards, including examples such as polls, action items, and kudos. Bots can now interact with users inside of 1:1, group, and meeting chats. Single Sign-On for Azure Active Directory users: coming soon Single sign-on (SSO) will soon be available for Microsoft Teams apps that use Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for authentication. Apps running inside of Teams can get an access token without requiring the user to log in again, simplifying and streamlining the user experience. Log into Microsoft Teams, and you won’t have to log into any app which supports Azure AD. More immersive tab experiences We are providing a variety of new improvements to the tab experience in Teams. First, the ability to connect your existing SharePoint Framework (SPFx) investments is now generally available. We are also releasing new ways to build rich and immersive tab experiences that integrate native device functionality, such as accessing the microphone, camera, and geographic location. We’ve also enabled back-button support and deep links into Teams. Link unfurling One of the most common ways to share content with other people in Microsoft Teams is using links, whether it’s for an update for that task you’re working on, or for sharing the latest Game of Thrones trailer. For any publicly accessible link, Teams already shows a preview of the link, including information like an image, title, and a description. We now allow apps to customize these previews for domains that they are interested in. Apps can register a message handler for domains that they want to serve and will get a queryLink event every time a user pastes a link from that domain while composing a message. The app can generate a rich card representation of the information behind that link, delivering a better experience for everyone who reads it. Reach users on their mobile devices: coming soon Historically, only Teams apps with bots could be used on mobile devices. Soon, the iOS and Android Teams clients will be at parity with the desktop and web platform: users will be able to use message extensions, channel tabs, personal apps, and task modules on mobile devices. No longer will users have to be concerned about what app features can or can't be performed on a phone or tablet: it will just work everywhere. Share to Teams: developer preview Sharing web content from any web site into Teams is now much easier now that developers can put a Share to Teams button on their web sites with just a few lines of code. The Share-to-Teams button will display a popup window allowing customers to either share a link to a channel or, if they are a Teams for Education teacher, they can create a Teams assignment, attaching the URL from the referring web site as a resource. New Teams APIs for Microsoft Graph Manage shifts: developer preview The Shifts app in Microsoft Teams enables employees to view their upcoming shifts, see who else is scheduled, and request time off, and enables managers to create, update, and manage shift schedules for teams. Microsoft Graph now has APIs in preview allowing your app to create, read, update, and delete shift schedules, enabling automated schedule management and integration with workforce management systems. Improvements to automating teamwork Microsoft Graph APIs enable you to automate your team's lifecycle, from creating the team, adding members, creating channels, pinning tabs, installing apps, and archiving and deleting teams. The following improvements are now generally available: Installing or upgrading apps now supports application permissions as well as user delegated permissions. Application permissions are a great way to install or upgrade an app across all teams in a tenant, and to create new teams from scratch that include apps.The Channel.webUrl property allows you to create deep links to your channels and teams.The Channel.email property gives you the email address for a channel, enabling you to connect those channels with existing workflows.Teams Graph APIs are now available for government customers in the GCC High and DoD clouds. Reading organizational messages: developer preview Microsoft Graph allows the applications you trust to read your channel messages, and now read your 1:1 and group chat messages. You can use these beta APIs to archive conversations, have your bot read recent messages for context, or analyze your messages for patterns. Reusable, low-code Teams app templates Building an app from scratch takes time and a thoughtful approach. To make this process simpler and quicker, we are launching Teams App Templates. These App Templates are fully built Teams apps that are community driven, open-sourced and housed on our Office Dev GitHub link. Key benefits: Plug and play experience: Deploying an app to cloud is usually a tedious affair. We’ve automated the whole experience where you can go from the GitHub code > Azure deployment > App on your Teams tenant in a matter of few clicks. No code required.Solid code base: All app templates are created using best practices from a security and infrastructure perspective. In addition, since the code is open sourced (under MIT license) you can scrutinize it with a fine-tooth comb to make sure it meets your data and privacy standards.Customizable and Extensible: The app templates come fully built out of the box and can also be easily integrated to other applications (for example existing application such as HR). Audit program for each audit assignment should be available before commencement of the audit. This should be documented as template in (AMS) with risks, control and tests to be performed.
Operational and Financial Audit
Supervise the audit team to conduct internal audit assignment which should provide evaluation of adequacy and effectiveness of the system of internal control and quality of performance in carrying out assigned responsibilities in all business processes/segments of the Group.
Audit Reports and Records
Documentation of audit work in Audit Management system which can fully support the audit findings.
Prepare professional audit reports which should clearly communicate findings, analysis, appraisals, recommendations and information concerning the activities audited.
Management should be timely updated with key findings through audit review meetings.
Preparation of executive summary for each engagement alongwith the detailed report and audit follow up form.
Assist SGM in preparing quarterly summary report for presentation to the Vice Chairman/Divisional President after it has been reviewed by Group Director – Internal Audit.
Job holder needs to follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
Computer Assisted Audit
Ability to extend audit coverage to a wider and more representative population using computer based audit techniques. E.g. use of ACL.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Risk Management to join the business to ensure that all relevant areas of risk are identified, monitored, measured and reported effectively and regularly and that appropriate management structures, processes and policies are in place to manage credit and operational risk in terms of the risk appetite established by the Board.
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an effective risk management framework for the company and will be a key figure, alongside other governance functions, in promoting effective internal controls and risk management.
They will advise on all aspects of risk management and will put practical structures and frameworks in place to allow for effective understanding of the company risk appetite and the management of enterprise risks within that appetite. It is vitally important that all risk framework structures support both the commercial and the governance requirements of the business.
The ideal person will relish the opportunity to create a function in line with best practice and the practical requirements of the business. They will need to operate effectively with all levels of management including the Board and will have the skills to adapt their style to their audience. As an integral member of the senior leadership team the successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.
Key accountabilities
· Design and implementation of an organization wide, integrated, effective and efficient risk management platform
· Development and communication of risk management policies and strategy
· Governance of all lending policies and other documentation across all geographies
· Leadership of the execution of risk management projects across the business by mobilizing and managing teams across the seven geographies
· Management of all credit control and collections activities
· Fostering the company’s relationship with the UAE Central Bank
· Delivery of large-scale digital transformation initiatives with certainty and to high standards
· Implementation of quality standards and excellence across the business
· Full ownership of risk controlling and portfolio management function to provide input for pricing and product mix
· Establishment of RV risk management guideline and support to RV committee in all risk mitigation activities
· Work closely with all levels of management to support effective risk-based decision making
· Work with other governance functions to ensure risk methodology and risk appetite are aligned
Candidate requirements
· University graduate having a minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience in a financial services risk environment
· Exemplary strategic thinking, credit risk skills, commercial acumen, analytical problem-solving skills, project management, market research and negotiation skills
· Risk management skills in both emerging and developed markets and across complex regulatory environments across multiple geographies
· Proven track record in developing risk management frameworks, managing cross-functional project teams, and participating in or leading technology based risk solutions

What’s new in Microsoft Teams in July 2018. Available today: Direct Routing in Teams On June 28th, we announced that Phone System Direct Routing is now generally available. Direct Routing allows customers to choose their telecom provider to enable their users to make and receive calls in Teams. If your country is supported by Teams and Phone System, you can start planning and deploying Direct Routing in your organization. Direct Routing and Calling Plans are now your 2 choices for dial tone in Microsoft Teams. Teams is coming to the US Government Community Cloud (GCC) Teams in GCC has been built to meet the enhanced security and compliance requirements of our GCC customers allowing them to transform communication and collaboration. Roll out for the US Government Cloud Community (GCC) will begin on July 17th and will be available for all eligible customers by the end of August 2018. Updated keyboard shortcuts Do you love keyboard shortcuts? If so, we’ve updated our shortcuts to include new functionality. You can view keyboard shortcuts in three ways: (1) type ‘/keys’ in the command bar, (2) press Ctrl+. on Windows or Command+. on Mac or (3) visit your Settings drop down menu and click ‘keyboard shortcuts.’ View and edit Visio files within Teams You can now view, edit, and collaborate on your Visio diagrams directly inside Microsoft Teams! Simply upload a Visio diagram to a channel’s conversation tab to share with your team. You and your colleagues can then alter the diagram from directly inside Teams and engage in conversations within the file to encourage input from all stakeholders.

Office 365 app launcher now available in Teams web client We’ve made it easier for you to switch between some of the Office 365 core apps. Now in the Teams web client, you can expand the Office 365 app launcher (aka, “the waffle”) to use core apps such as Outlook, Word and OneDrive. Two things to note: (1) if an app has been disabled for a given user, the app will be hidden from the app launcher for them; (2) the app launcher will not show pinned applications or relevant files. Monthly Spotlight - New Apps in Teams: Jell, RSpace, Zoho Projects and more! We are constantly adding new apps to the Teams experience to make it an even more powerful hub for teamwork that allows you to access all services you need in one place. Jell enables users to customize questions, reminders and recurring schedules as needed. Jell for Microsoft Teams comes with a 14-day free trial and has multiple plans to meet your organization’s needs. RSpace provides a notebook to researchers in biology, chemistry and other related fields to record experiments, share research data and communicate efficiently within the lab. Zoho Projects gives users the power of project management right at their fingertips. Manage and plan your projects, assign work, manage resources and collaborate better with your team. Other new additions to the Teams store include: AttendanceBot, Bitbucket, CrewHu, Evernote, Jira Bot, Karmabot, LawBot, Lifeliqe, Ruum by SAP, SignEasy and Woobot. Working with files and your Teams bot (Preview) At Build 2018, we announced that bots will soon be able to send and receive files and this feature is now here. If you have a Teams app that works with files, it’s time to switch to Public Developer Preview and check it out. Work with Confidence: New features for IT Admins Teams now supports eDiscovery for callings and meetings eDiscovery for callings and meetings will enable complians admins, who are used to performing eDiscovery searches for Teams messages, the ability to search and discover summary records for every Teams meeting or call in their tenant. Teams supports eDiscovery for users in an exchange hybrid environment Teams now supports eDiscovery, Compliance Content Search, Review and Export for users in organizations that are in an exchange hybrid setup. FYI, this feature is not publicly available but supported for customers on request through Microsoft support. Hide teams from Outlook Based on customer feedback, new Office 365 Groups generated as a result of creating a team in Microsoft Teams will no longer show in Outlook by default. Since these groups are predominantly used in Teams, this change will reduce clutter by removing the entries from the Global Address Book. These groups will also be hidden from the Outlook left hand navigation and will not resolve in the ‘To:’ line when authoring email. Groups created through Outlook, and then later enabled for Teams, will continue to show in both Outlook and Teams. If you want to create a team in Teams and want to show the associated group in Outlook, then you can run the Set-UnifiedGroup Exchange Online PowerShell cmdlet to update the -HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled parameter (this will enable the group for the Outlook experience). Archive your team for posterity Need to put a team into storage? If you've got an inactive team, but you want to keep it for reference or reactivate it in the future, try the new archive and restore feature. The conversations and files in a team become read-only once you archive it. You’ll still be able to search through the team—you can even mark the team as a favorite. FYI, only team owners can archive and restore teams. New features available for mobile Improved message sending reliability in flaky networks You can always view your messages on Teams, even if you’re offline in a subway, tunnel or a flight. We have now improved our message sending reliability so that you can confidently send messages even when you are offline, or in a flaky network, for example in elevators, and Teams will make sure your message gets sent as soon as your phone regains network connectivity. Network & battery optimization in calls and meetings There are a few intelligent features for network and battery optimization that help improve your overall calling and meeting experiences with the Teams mobile client. Bandwidth Optimization – If you're participating in a meeting and happen to cross a poor internet network, the Teams app gives you the option to (1) ‘Call me back’ at a number you’ve set or (2) re-join via a phone call. Additionally, Teams will prompt with you with the option to switch from video to audio - giving you continued, high performance audio quality Battery Optimization – Teams proactively monitors your battery life and gives you options to reduce the consumption of your battery. During a meeting Teams will prompt you to switch from video to audio mode and also provides you the option of turning off all incoming video from others. Experience Teams across devices Teams for Surface Hub Preview now available You can now use Microsoft Teams for Surface Hub (Preview). Microsoft Teams for Surface Hub has full Teams calling and meeting capabilities, including one-touch join and up to four incoming video streams—all with side-by-side compatibility with Skype for Business. The Facilities Manager is involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, in relation to buildings, premises, infrastructure and the business operational requirements.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for providing, maintaining and developing a multitude of services including security and health & safety. Such services range from property strategy, building, infrastructure and facilities maintenance, communications, administration and contract management for a number of outsourced engineering, maintenance and cleaning service providers.
The Facilities Manager will have to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, and be able to handle multiple and often conflicting priorities. This role will report to the Senior Facilities Manager and will be based out of Dubai, U.A.E. To be a successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in engineering. Masters in Business Administration is a plus. Minimum of 10+ years of previous relevant experience in facilities management in large organizations. Having worked within a facilities management environment with GCC in a managerial role. Experience in managing commercial, residential and labour camps. Extensive knowledge of the real estate industry (5 years) and market conditions in the middle east. The Facilities Manager will have to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, be customer focused and be able to handle multiple and often conflicting priorities. It is essential the incumbent should have excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment. Have the ability to look at situations from several points of view. Delegate responsibilities effectively. Should have a high comfort level working in a diverse environment. Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done. Manage cross-functional relationships effectively.
