"I'm really fuckin' tryin' here, El," Jack said, wiping some of the sweat from his fevered skin. He'd also rather not be feeling this shitty right now. His senses were dulled so it took him a second to realized she was basically dragging him through a doorway. Everything felt like it was moving too fast.

Yet he found himself leaning against a relatively clean wall. It seemed like the mold hadn't gotten in here just yet. Jack pulled off his pack and let it set down with a thud. Then he just sort of pressed his back to the wall and slid down until he was sitting. At least he hadn't fainted again.

"I just need a few minutes," he said. More like a few hours but he knew they couldn't stay here for too long. It wasn't safe. They both were well aware of that.

Ellie was no stranger to taking hits, hell in the past she would have bragged that she could take them like a man, but a lead pipe to the head multiple times was a time that she could admit defeat. At least this time, despite the blood running down her face, she had only chipped her tooth. "You know what Joel? That sounds awesome." She mumbled, eyes remaining closed to fight the swimming room. "You got him right? Like I'm not gonna open my eyes to your ass stabbed... right?" The worry was obvious in her voice, but all she could do was keep her lunch down.

"Yeah -- I got him." That was .... something of an understatement. That same said lead pipe dropped with a dull thunk onto the floor next to what was left of the guy's head; calling the sight reminiscent of a poorly attempt at one of those junior high 'drop the egg off the roof' experiments was being ... generous. Joel twisted his fingers against the dark cloth of his jeans in an attempt to get the worst of the blood and bits off of his hands as he closed the distance to where Ellie was collapsed on the floor.

"Guess it's a good thing you're so thick headed, huh, kiddo?" It was an attempt at humor that he didn't feel, guilt and anxiety twisting in his chest as he tried to get a better look at the source of the blood winding down her face. "He get you anywhere else?" Sliding his pack off his shoulders, he pulled one of the clean rags from the side pouch, dabbing carefully at the blood on her face before easing it up to press against her temple.

It had been Leon's turn to lead a supply run, this area was a a lot more vast than he thought. He had just returned the the dam from it. Today's supply run had been a little bit different than the others because he came across something pretty amazing. Now the former agent had found an assortment of things on some days, found many new area's left unchecked, eventually it started to look like he had seen all he could see.

Just when he thought that he may have finally see all this area had to offer. Today's discovery proved that to be wrong. The find this time, was a pretty huge one. An old traveling Amusement park, one that Leon recalled visiting a few times. An amusement park called Fun Spot Entertainment, he was wondering where their final stop was located before the world went to shit, convenient that it happened to be somewhere nearby, just about seven miles east from the dam. Not too far, but at the same time a little bit of a trip.

The park in question was about 27 acres, but because Leon and his supply run group spent the majority of their search looking through this park, they had managed to cover the most of it besides a few buildings, they couldn't cover every building between the assortment of rides that stood still like relics of a world that no longer existed.

Once the scavenging was all wrapped up, Leon told the group to go on ahead, he wanted to stay and check the last three buildings everyone missed, and it was worth it for what he discovered, something incredible. After bringing in the supplies he found he headed right towards Ellie's little home. Knocking on the door, he hoped she was up for another little outing with him, he had a feeling that she would really enjoy it, especially the surprise he had for her once they would get there.

[[ ☣ }] - "Ellie, it's Leon!" He called out after his finished knocking, taking his hand from the door, dropping back down to his side. The sound of footsteps told him she was coming to the door, a smile to greet her one the doors open, and their eyes meet.

[{ ☣ }] - "Hey, ya doing anything today? I found something pretty awesome on my supply run today, and I wanna show ya. It's gonna be a bit of a ride, not too far though, but I'm telling you, it's totally worth the trip."

At least… He said believing he saw a husk shamble about. But then again the machines surrounding don’t look like any layer he has been in before. Even the city in the layer of Lust had such fluorescent colors and a distinct architecture, especially compared to this run down shit hole. V1 starts investigating his surroundings, desiccated buildings, overgrowth filling in the cracks of the cities foundations as if it has taken over the concrete towers. He’s seen similar like the flesh of Violence crawling through machines. He simulates a blink, his lens shutter clicking as his sight then turns towards any historical landmarks to base his findings and possibly find a map in the old world databases.  Old litter that would be rolling in the soft breeze stopped by a stockpile of decaying bodies with.. Mushrooms in them? The robot reaches to the body of the fallen to look into this strange take over… It's almost like fungus made homes in these humans- Humans!? His lens shrinks with that realization. The damaged unfinished roads, the barricaded buildings, broken glass with every step and tacky ass posters littering the sides of every building. He’s not in hell anymore. No. Maybe not even in his own world as his earth never hosted such beautiful greenery. This is what he missed when his consciousness was slowly fading away in that old manufacturing building. Memories of that time sadden him for a moment and then his internal communications ping a radio tower to get a location. In his steel chest he felt nervous to reveal what beautiful sanctuary he accidentally came upon when hunting that creature for their blood. There is some resistance to opening the results but he is ready, he has to study this new life immediately to provide survival… Here it goes. -CHICAGO 2034- But that also must mean what he is approaching is.. An angel? Or… it couldn't be a human right? Now he has to know. His heavy feet start going towards the others’ voice.

“Why do you think you can win this? Come on out.” A soft demand comes from the synthetic voice. He wants the answer before the creature becomes a bloody pulp.

The Wolf plopped himself down beside her makeshift camp, the faint flicker of embers from a small fire glinting off the sigils carved onto the forehead of his biomask. How did he get it? Wasn't it obvious?

With a soft series of clicks, he extended a clawed finger out to the woods beyond.

It had already been one hell of a bad day...And now this humiliating endeavor. Ed had run out of oil for his automail earlier in the week and had been headed to the train station to try and buy more from Winry once he got to his destination...But it looked like his left leg had other ideas.

The mechanism that allowed his knee to bend decided to lock up on him, resulting in a rather unceremonious faceplant right in front of several onlookers. Oh man, was this a crappy day...It just couldn't get much worse...Could it? Ed didn't really want to find out...

■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

Headcanon meme~ || Accepting!

His current home/base is in Rosewood in the neighborhood across from the church near his dad's old place. He moved back there after he lost Emily and everyone else. It's a two story that has two small bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. He usually only stays up on the second floor since it's safer than the ground floor. The windows and doors are boarded up and he uses a sheet rope to get up and down from the second story window. It doesn't have much but the generator keeps the place running and he's cleared out most of the zomboids in the area so it's pretty safe.

The bedroom has a full size bed and a decent closet. He keeps most of his supplies within reach and he has a bookshelf with all the stuff he'll need to keep the boredom away but also skill books to keep increasing his chance of survival.

"Morning, sleepy head." He hadn't been inclined to wake her up, given it was one of those rare days they both had off, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to give her a tiny bit of teasing for sleeping in as late as she had. "Breakfast's on the counter, dunno if it's still edible, but it's there if you want it." The scrambled eggs and the two pieces of bacon were long cold, but he reckoned she probably wouldn't let it go to waste, scarce as the supplies of fresh food were, even in Jackson, and the chunk of goat cheese and berry preserves were sure to be still good. Of course, that wasn't the thing he really wanted her to see, but the surprise of the hand carved chess board and pieces was specifically tucked out of sight until she made her way fully into the kitchen. "Oh, and there's some oj too, or at least something close to it, I guess."
