The worst part of having a favorite video game genre is that you always want more of it.
The worse yet part is if that video game genre is
"HIGH SPEED COMBAT GET GOOD OR GET RICKIDY R-R-WRECKED"
because then there are only a handful of those games out there.
So here is a list of some games I think fit that high adrenaline combat style.
-ghostrunner (and it's sequel)
-Devil May Cry 1 (and I assume also DMC 2-5 I'm still playing DMC1) (update: played all of DMC games. Every game is better than the last, except dmc2 don't play dmc2, skip to 3)
-Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal
-ULTRAKILL
Play these. You won't regret it
Also feel free to reblog and add your own that you think fit that genre of adrenaline rush games
PS. Depending on the build you are going for, cyberpunk might also be for you. Although it also has its slower moments too.
wahhhh theres some. really good implications in the layout of the main hub in gr2, about how Jack is sorta treated in general. like. very much One Of Them vibe. The base is very open, and equal parts base of operations, and a living space. labs, and equipment for Jack's upkeep is side by side with comfy couches, and games. theres no real attempts at restricting him or keeping him separate. He has equal access to sensitive work stations and bedrooms, and considering he was made to be (and still is) an assassin and an infiltrator who is now beholden to no masters, its like. so significant
the trust and acknowledgement of personhood present. Zoe mentioned that after the events of the first game, Jack had to completely relearn how to move, and talk, and like. the fact it was in such a gentle environment this time, and not the terrifying kickstart the Architect gave him after his first resurrection....
