Should you fight my characters? Plant Flavor!
Back at it with more!
Tumblr media
Riaghael
Battle Music: Saltillo - A Necessary End
Should you fight Riag? Look I get it, you get it, even he gets it - he's not the most amiable person in the world. He's usually grumpy and sometimes even an asshole. He wouldn't even be mad at if you if you tried to fight him. But no one is winning from this fight. You will likely feel like crap trying to fight someone who (is trying but) cannot fight back, and guaranteed he will feel even worse. Trying to fight someone who is well aware of that they aren't what they used to be is a little mean - so please don't fight the grump.
Who initiates the battle? You would have to, he knows he can't win in fights anymore so he doesn't try to start anything.
Who would win? You would. He physically can't wield weapons anymore and mentally/psychologically is unable to deal with the stress of it. It wouldn't even be a fair fight, he would summon minions to try to defend himself but that's it. You would still be able to take him down pretty quickly.
Tumblr media
Deiliús
Battle Music: anoice - finale
Should you fight Dei? They are the least threatening person you can encounter. ...so why on Tyria would you? The only reason I could ever see someone trying to fight them is them being a rigid 'All NMC are evil and must die' type of person. They have all the strength of wet tissue paper and are allergic to conflict. Don't fight them. You stand nothing to gain from it (besides my unwavering disapproval).
Who initiates the battle? You would HAVE to. They would expend all of their energy just trying to run from you than have to fight. Even if cornered they would try to fend off attacks but not fight back.
Who would win? There's no question that you would win. It would be like kicking a stray cat on the street that had just gotten its ass kicked from other cats. Their magic is illusion based for concealment or psychological harm (which they hated using and only did in the past because they were forced to) not for attacking. It wouldn't even really be a fight, it would be you kicking their ass.
Under the cut to save your dash!
Tumblr media
Naechdion
Battle Music: Shadow of the Colossus OST - Silence
Should you fight Dion? No! Absolutely not! He's minding his own business in the Wychmire and is already scared of everything. Leave him be.
Who would initiate the battle? You would have to start it - but that means finding him first. He's very good at hiding.
Who would win? You would, but then you would probably have to fight me because Dion doesn't deserve to be picked on. He's bad at Guardian magic and scared of everything, he would probably be shaking in a corner as soon as you got anywhere near him.
Tumblr media
Ruby Aenn
Battle Music: Dallas String Quartet - Firework
Should you fight Ruby? Ruby is always up for a good fair sparring session. Actual fights, she thinks can be avoided with enough discussion but sparring for practice is fun! She's game for a bit of a spat if you are!
Who would initiate the fight? 50/50! She might want to warm up before a bigger skirmish and ask you to spar with her. Or perhaps you feel like trying the Prismatic Dragon's Champion on for size.
Who would win? Ruby has some very clear strong points and weaknesses. For one, she's tiny, just at 4'9, so her center of balance makes her harder to take down. Most especially challenging is that she changes her fight strategy depending on which pet she is soulbound to. So that's tricky. However, it is easy to bait while attuned to specific animals and that makes her slip up because the animal side wins. It would be fair!
Tumblr media
Madrúil
Battle Music: The Dali Thundering Concept - There is no Calm Before the Storm (Instrumental)
Should you fight Mad? Oh god, please kick his ass. He has made life hell for a lot of innocent people and deserves to get the shit kicked out of him. You would be making a lot of people happy.
Who would initiate the fight? Chances are Mad would since he thinks with his fists more often than his brain. Or he would be trying to abduct you for his hounds to 'play with' so you had to defend yourself.
Who would win? Tricky. Mad is good at both long range with his bow and close melee with axes, but struggles at mid-range. If you have something that can keep him just close enough to you to not be able to use his long bow but not so close you meet the axe, you can probably out last him. That is until he goes full chicken shit and gets other Blasphemy goonies to try and waylay you. He's not above being a slime ball to win.
Tumblr media
Countess Diamhasla
Battle Music: Romanian Folk Dances, Sz 56: III. Pe-loc - Andante
Should you fight Diam? PLEASE DO. Can I help? I would love to help. We can throw her down a well. She sets people up for failure, and when they are at their most vulnerable she 'saves' them, only to then hold that over their head to get what she wants. She's fragile and has poor health but I'm not above beating her leafy head in with a mallet.
Who would initiate the battle? You would, she doesn't do fighting. Usually letting her henchmen do the dirty work for her. Half of the issue of fighting her is actually getting to her, she's fairly well defended.
Who would win? She's scary good at earth magic, so the key would be to interrupt her before she can summon too many elementals or the huge earthen hands to grab you. If you can hit hard and fast, you win, easy. But if you let her get too many spells off it's looking like she will win.
Tumblr media
Warden Captain Cálguais
Battle music: Andry Vinogradov - Chain Dance
Should you fight Cal? They're the most honorable (to the point of being insufferable) person to fight. If you asked for an honorable dual they would be happy to oblige you but in any other situations they would not. To spar for the sake of improvement (since they will be telling you the whole time where you could have done better) sure! Fight them!
Who would initiate the battle? Either you asking to spar with them or them training baby Wardens and asking you to spar as an example.
Who would win? Likely you would, but not easily. They are pretty competent at fighting but they tend to be rigid and fixed in their training they learned so they can't always adapt to new threats.
Tumblr media
Glanaim
Battle music: Gallowstreet - Fisticuffs
Should you fight Glan? Sure, as long as you realize he treats fighting like flirting half the time. Morally he's a grey person so you don't have much to lose by fighting him. He doesn't kill people unless he's paid to do so so go for it!
Who would initiate the fight? Depends! If he's in a good mood, he'll ask you to spar with him. Otherwise you'd have to approach the topic.
Who would win? If you give him any distance at all, he will win so fast it makes your head spin. He's a sniper, and a damn good one at that. If you go after him in melee you have a very strong chance of winning, since he's not as good with pistols as he is with his rifle. (bonus there's a high chance he asks you out for a drink and then a rematch later).
Tumblr media
Caonai
Battle Music: Skyrim OST - Tooth and Claw
Should you fight Cao? I don't recommend it. She doesn't see the point of fighting without killing - so if you challenge her one of you is going down for good. Plus she's an older lady who just is trying to care for her siblings. Sure, she may not have social skills, but she keeps to herself.
Who initiates the battle? If she thinks you are going to harm her siblings or pose a threat to the remnants of her family, she will absolutely start it. And give you no warning, you will just have a Norn sized, winter-hardened Warrior after you.
Who would win? Cao would win unless you run away mid-fight. She fights to kill, not to spar. While she is not as strong as some of my other kiddos, she is very slow and unyielding. She aims to break your defenses before going in for any major damage with her mace. If you run, she might not chase you - having tired herself out.
Tumblr media
Caemdryn
Battle Music: LORN - ENTANGLED
Should you fight Caem? Honestly, it's up to you. While he is not a bad person, he has so much anger (mainly at Charr and the Jungle but it bleeds over) that it makes him a twat at times. Would there be any major negatives to getting rid of him? No. Any positives? Not really.
Who would initiate the battle? I think you would have to but it wouldn't take much. All it would take is a comment about Sylvari being dragon minions in any shape or form to get him defensive and then he will be after you.
Who would win? In close quarters, Caem, hands down. He hits hard and fast and has no small amount of fury/unhinged behind it. At distance he can't really attack but he can block and shield himself from most projectiles. Best bet would be to try and slow/cripple him and then get him from range so he can't close the space.

For the friend match, let's go with Glanaim!
He's considered by some of his occasional co-workers to be a bit of a stick in the mud, but he just likes comfort and routine when he can get it. If he hadn't of been such a good shot with a rifle he probably would have joined the priory, he enjoys research and study. He also has a huge shameless collection of just crap romance books and saucier ones that you can usually find him reading. Glan's also just a little shit (affectionate) and likes to cause minor problems on purpose.
(@uselessidiotsquad )
Hmmm... You know, I can really see him getting along with Daithi. Both can be a bit of a stick in the mud when it comes to rules and routine, but have their fun side. Especially given that Daithi is Keeva's twin. I think they could really get along with books and talking about what they'd been reading. And most especially the really bad romance novels where you can just pin the plot by the first chapter.

Rating how good of cooks some of my kiddos are:
Ruby (Commander): 10/10 can make just about anything, inventive, a real master chef.
Glanaim: 8/10 doesn't usually have the money for high quality ingredients but is really good at cooking when he has time.
Party: 6/10 she may not make the most tasty food but by Gods does she know how to stretch food for lots of cubs. No one goes hungry even if it's not the best tasting.
Galla: 3/10 usually edible but not something you'd want to try. She doesn't season anything. Anything.
Dei: 1/10 does not cook since they have a lot of food allergies and just tries to scrape by with instant/low effort stuff/ quick food (living off of oatmeal and french fries is not healthy purple).
Riag: 0/10 for the love of all things holy do not let this man around fire or food. He would manage to burn cereal.

For all your sylvari, how high esteem to each of them hold the Pale Tree in?
@mystery-salad
Ty for the ask! I Ranking time!
Highest Esteem:
Calguais, my Warden Captain. They're a revenant who is basically in direct conversation all the time with Ventari and thus are the most painfully lawful good plant I have. They annoy me with how rigidly they see things. To them the Pale Tree is basically god/ess.
Caemdryn. He maintained his connection to the Dream even after everything in the HoT campaign and is aggressively protective of other Sylvari (to the point of being kinda a dick to the other races). The Pale Tree is not just a mother, but like a divinely put in place ruler (for Sylvari).
Riaghael. While not nearly as intense about the Tree as the other two ranked above him, Riag dearly loves the Pale Tree. That's his mom. Not a Divine Ruler but a mother and a respected figure to ask for insight, but not Perfect In Every Way.
Ruby Aenn. Being the one who discovered first hand the origins of the Tree and then having to tell others, there's a small break of trust in her. The Tree is not the end-all-be-all of Sylvari and she's still a bit annoyed that the origin of the Tree was kept for so long. More damage might have been avoided if it had been known by others. But still, she cares for the Tree and the Tree's well-being.
Middle Tier:
Glanaim. Glan's functionally Soundless though without the commitment of it. The Pale Tree is an unreachable figure, some unknowable entity that tries to influence in ways it thinks will help the world. Glan would very much rather find that out himself than through the Tree's influence.
Naechdion. Doesn't really have the connection with the Tree that the rest of the Sylvari do since he was supposed to be Mordrem. He isn't aware of this though. Honestly he doesn't know the Tree has a sentient form or face or energy, it's just the big plant at the other end of Caledon that people seem to be protective of. People seem to be around it so all the more reason for him to avoid it.
Toraedh. Despite being 50% Nightmare, Tora doesn't dislike the Tree. They do, though, dislike it's manner of controlling people with Hunts. Especially since their own Wyld Hunt basically guaranteed they were to be treated like crap by other Sylvari. Being shoved into some duty someone else decided for you before you were even born is cruel.
Lowest Esteem:
Deilius. The Tree is just another example for them of a person/force that promises things and then doesn't deliver. Before they turned Nightmare, they were sort of neutral on the Pale Tree. Now they just see it as both A) someone else who left/abandoned them B) a symbol for the people who want them dead on principal C) a place that had fond memories that have been soured by others actions.
Caonai. She is not of the Pale Tree, and views the Tree and the Maguuma Sylvari as being too young/weak to be relied on. They are spring children, she is born of winter and ice. They won't last.
Madruil. The Tree is a controlling force on Sylvari that makes them do things for the sake of a 'greater' good. He's doesn't like the idea of doing things for others.
Countess Diamhasla. Diam sees the Pale Tree as a relic of the past, and she should function as a production line for Sylvari but stop trying to tell them how to live their lives (mainly so she can START telling them how to live their lives woops). Utter disdain, she would lobotomize the Avatar and have her just be a broodmare for Sylvari production if at all possible.

have 1, 8, 14, and 19 for glan from the oc creating asks, if you'd like? :) @kerra-and-company
Oop so I confused myself on this one. I had reblogged the ask post then deleted it because I do not have the juice to be sending out asks and felt guilty fishing for them if I did not send them out in return. Braincells said answering yes, asking no, but I will answer this one! 1. What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?
I wanted a Ginko inspired Sylvari! And I also wanted someone unabashedly campy at times.
8. What (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story?
I think the only thing me and Glan can relate to some degree on is both having a dirty sense of humor, it differs in that I often keep it to myself and he's trying to make everything an innuendo if he can.
14. If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be?
Don't take his flirts, suggestive comments, or otherwise flippant nature to heart it's just how he is he isn't trying to make people uncomfortable.
He may not seem reliable because of his job making his schedule be all over the place (there's no 9 to 5 when you're staking out a target) but he is. You can trust him with secrets, security, and responsibility.
19. What is your favorite fact about your OC?
I think that me and @i-mybrunettelady had decided him and El went straight to being Divorced without ever being married. Dated for probably a very short period of time and then Messy Divorce. They're both assholes (affectionate) but in different regards and it makes for some very funny situations.

Glan and Rytlock!!! 😌
Glan would have the time of his life pissing him off - my god. An absolute field day. It would almost making being around his broody thick-headed one track self at times worth it. Meanwhile, Rytlock would want to actively strangle him and would be so mad, the entire time. Since Glan's just a gun for hire he would be getting flak all the time from Rytlock for being flaky.
They have no compatibility but it would be hilarious to witness since Glan doesn't balk at anything and all the threats Trombone would make would go in one ear and out the other.
Hilarious, would not last, but hilarious. Mild nsfw under the read more.
Glan is very much a top and Rytlock likes to think that he is one too, which isn't a full lie, but he's about as exciting as watching paint dry. Meanwhile Glan is very much a bag of tricks so if nothing else Rytlock would have to realize he's not as Super Macho as he thinks. And Glan would have the bragging rights to win every bet from here on out.

🧠👀👃🔥 for Deiliús! :3c
Ty for the ask :D
🧠 : What is your OC’s most mentally attractive attribute?
Dei's consideration and understanding nature. Sometimes they do take it to the extreme to be 'polite/nice/likable' but they are genuinely a considerate person. There is very little that can alarm or weird them out so you're always safe talking to them. The least judgemental bean around, you can talk to them about basically anything.
👀 : Does your OC believe they are attractive? Do they use that to their advantage?
Absolutely not. Dei has a supremely low opinion of themselves and how they look, even before being marked up head to toe in gnarly scars. On a 1 to 10 scale of attractiveness they consider themselves firmly a 2 and post NMC conversion that drops to a 1.
👃 : Does your OC smell good? Do they have a signature scent?
Yes, I would say they smell good. Primarily they smell very clean, almost a little too astringent clean, when they can they're particular about hygiene and making sure their clothes are fresh. They don't have a signature scent but that does lead me to a slight tangent!
So it's my long running theory that Sylvari (depending on their plant type/flower type) become fragrant when they are aroused by something. If you've been around hyacinth flowers you will know they smell really, really good but are very strong. Like, one flower can make the whole room smell the place up strong.
Dei, being Bi (and this is pre-NMC which changes things slightly) was known for getting playfully teased by their friends for not being able to hide when they thought someone was hot. Hyacinth flowers smell really strong and the smell lingers so F in chat for the thems being unable to hide it whatsoever.
🔥 : What’s a surefire way to make your OC get flustered?
It takes a lot to get them flustered but like a really smooth attempt at flirting/suggestive/innuendo will sometimes get them to have the Dei.exe has stopped working. But they are clever, too, in their own way so most of the times it doesn't work. To date this has only happened once or twice (from Glanaim). Proximity and people in their personal space will sometimes get them a little flustered but more often than not it's panic/flight, the less fun type of flustered.

OC group ask game! Who would be the best (and who would be the worst) at Karaoke?
@commanderfloppy
Ooo fun one! In terms of -
Singing voice (Best)
Ruby. She has a lovely singing voice.
Mhunizz. He has a surprisingly melodic one.
Phil. He's not got any training but has a very rustic, folksy sounding voice that's good for a few types of songs.
Glanaim. Though a bit nasally in sound, he does have a nice voice when he's not purposefully trying to be smarmy.
Singing voice (Worst)
Riag. The man is as tone deaf as a stump, a running joke is his singing would be able to kill Risen twice over.
Deilius. Their voice is cracks and breaks so much from being garroted it wouldn't sound great, plus they'd be too embarrassed to try.
Dion. He barely speaks and people have a hard time understanding him, it sounds like wind through branches more than words often.
Performance (Best)
SIGILIS. GET OUT OF THE WAY SHE'S GONNA BE DANCING ON EVERYTHING. It's a full on show with her.
Valens! Her 'band name isn't 'Forgedance' for nothing!
Bhruizz. While xe doesn't always sound the best, xe has a lot of fun getting other people involved in singing with xem and like joining in on the chorus or waving lighters.
Performance (Worst)
Mhonde. The poor boot sized boy would be too embarrassed and would just freeze up and awkwardly stumble through it. Likely will stop before the song is done and hand the mic off to someone else (beet red and uncomfortable the whole time afterwards).
Tied for Absolute Worst is Calguais, a very rigid and uptight Warden who would be funny because they're so bad at having fun. But painful to witness. And Galla - who has the affect of Murder Time and scares people even if she tried to be enthusiastic about it. Her RBF makes the situation tense.

have ☄️🤕✨ for whoever you feel like talking about most at the moment! free space! :D (also sending you all the best re: your brain fun times! <3) @kerra-and-company
Ty for the ask! I'm rattling my brain like it's the last goldfish cracker in the box. I used a randomize wheel to pick 3 kiddos with one question each since I have lots of new kids I haven't really introduced proper yet.
☄️ Does your OC believe in fate and destiny or do they think it’s a load of garbage? Would they ever get this fortune told? What would a fortune-teller tell them about their future?
I got Initiator Phiaskko - my newest kid! I couldn't stand looking at stinky cheese boy Vrias and he was hogging a spot so he got tossed for Phia.
Tumblr media
She does believe in fate in a sense! Phia sort of considers all things just part of the process of the Eternal Alchemy. Like real alchemy there are different stages. Sometimes things are in the stage of Coagulation where all comes together and works in her favor. Sometimes it's the Calcination stage where things are utterly dissolved to ash. But it's all part of the process!
Phia would listen to someone telling her the future but with three tablespoons of salt. Future and fate isn't really something that people can discern entirely without bias.
Honestly, her fortune would not be something she'd want to hear,. Not that she herself has any bad things on the horizon but she tends to have an aura of death around her and people get caught in it. Leading to lots of injuries, occasional deaths, and other misfortune. I'm not saying she's 'cursed' but I'm also saying that accidental deaths and chaos follows her like a shadow.
🤕 What is the worst injury your OC has ever suffered? Do they have any scars or lasting physical reminders of it? Do they get sick often or have any lasting medical conditions?
I got Larthi for this one! Excited to talk about the new mystery cat.
Larthi actually doesn't have very many injuries as it tends to blink around often enough that it doesn't have time to get them. I think the closest thing would but that it's shield carrying arm tends to ache a bit - after deflecting an attack from a mace. But nothing physically showing up.
Most of it's issues are primarily mental and with due reason. Time magic has been with it since it was a cub, just less strong. Meaning that it's always been on the move unintentionally zipping forwards and backwards - not having a solid base to go from. Negative stability for the cat. There's not really any point in trying to get to know people or put down roots when you can be nyoomed forward by 50 years and stuck there just to find that everyone's dead by then and the world has changed. Or whisked back 100 and have the Charr experience be very, very different.
It doesn't get sick very often - beyond headaches!
✨ If your OC were a deity of some kind, what would they represent? What do they look like? How are they worshipped and what offerings would they expect? What are their places of worship like? Their followers? Their teachings?
Randomizer wheel picked Glanaim for this one!
Glan would most definitely be a god of Liminal Spaces. He's the type of deity you would see shrines for by the side of the road, offerings at gas stations, and in places where people are always coming and going. As for what he would look like, honestly I don't think he'd have a set image as it varies from place to place but is at the core still him. For airports it's one thing, for boats another, and cars another.
His practice is as informal as they come - quick prayers said for safe passage and for getting home. Also frankly speaking, a bit of a lonely god as his realm is places people are moving to and from but never staying. He gets people where they need to be but very often as soon as they are there they tend to forget him. No real teaching or followers but things done like knocking on wood, stacking rocks, shaking your keys three times before you leave the house.
Offerings would be anything - from that 1/2 empty bottle of soda to flowers, pennies to pearls, and anything that is amusing. I can totally see him having tiny shrines in the city where people leave condoms (in their foil still mind you) and shredded letters from their exes. Or in someplace more remote where people just stack rocks and put wildflowers they found on the side of the road. Or at a graveyard with a tiny belonging of someone interred there for the last passage.

Ruby Rambles: Dream Bond and Nightmare Bond
My musings on how the Dream bond and Nightmare bond could work. Under the cut for the length!
Dream Bond:
My personal take on the Dream Bond is that it's a Sylvari exclusive shared empathy of a sort. So it can branch into sharing emotions or like getting a sample of what the other person is feeling, physically experiencing, or their general outlook. Many Sylvari use it without really thinking so they jump directly into conversation bypassing the whole formality of questioning.
Imagine getting a feeling that someone is hungry and feeling sad before even saying anything - it would tailor your conversation. You could skip the 'how are you' and 'is something wrong' and just go directly to 'what would you like to eat'.
Which is why when Sylvari try to talk with the other races there is sometimes a lack in communication because they don't have the instant Vibe Check of the Dream. Many of them didn't even learn to ask since it was so ingrained in them. Making many Sylvari seem rude, presumptive, or invasive.
Back to practical examples! Riag doesn't use the Dream Bond (his connection with the Dream is a lot weaker since his psychological break) very much as he finds it somewhat personal/intimate? Having spent a lot of time in not just exclusively Sylvari areas, he's sort of taken a step back from relying on the Dream Bond. Sylvari can put mental and emotional walls up to keep their feelings to themselves and Riag has them up almost constantly. However, when he does use it, it's usually just with Trahearne. He would rather ask than rely on it. That being said, he does ask first before using it and it still makes him a little flustered when he does even though it's a core Sylvari behavior he blushes, it's very cute. Likewise, Trahearne asks before hand knowing that he's very private as Sylvari go.
Nightmare Bond:
It works functionally the same as the Dream, but has a noticeably different feel to it. The Dream Bond is what the person is feeling but is filtered through the Dream which makes it more... idk ethereal? Floaty? Lighter but in the sense of a fond memory that you can't recall all the details for but are left with the feeling. I equate the Dream Bond to walking through a mist and the Nightmare to walking through cobwebs.
The Nightmare flips that with the reverse card. So for instance two members of the Nightmare Court might share it and sense each others emotions but they are sharper, somehow. Jarring, almost. Like walking down a set of stairs but they are steeper than you remember.
For an instance, let's use Dei. So before Nightmare they relied on the Dream Bond quite a lot for validation that their friends did not actually hate them/think poorly of them. It is a main part of Sylvari - to - Sylvari communication so them relying on it heavily isn't uncommon. I'm not going to call a crutch, but definitely something that they used an awful lot for their own insecurity but in doing so just fed more into it.
Going from that to Nightmare (where people are actually not really fond of them) jolted them enough that they quit using it, pretty much altogether. They already knew their Court disliked them and didn't need it confirmed by the Bond.
Riag doesn't use the Dream Bond often just because he'd rather his feelings be expressed when *he* is ready rather than someone jumping in because they want to know.
Dei doesn't use the Nightmare Bond unless made to, because they don't want to know the feelings / thoughts of others towards given that Nightmare isn't kind.
For a more neutral example, Glanaim is like one good shake from being Soundless. He is still technically a Dreamer but prefers not having to sample/having others sample what he's feeling. This is why he's like chill with some Nightmare Courtiers. Glan doesn't get the gut feeling of WRONG BAD GROSS that many Dreamers get when encountering it. Just because he's distanced enough from either side. He'd rather rely on his own experiences than some metaphysical bond that is shared only because they are Sylvari.

Random thought, ranking some of my Sylvari in how close they are to the Dream.
Most to least:
Siori Suan
Legit stuck in the Dream his whole life, does not always know where he starts and the Dream ends.
Warden Calguais
Devoted steadfastly to Ventari's tablet and the teachings of it.
Ruby Aenn
Has always been close to the Dream, but is not as gung-ho about the teachings of Ventari.
Toraedh
An odd one for sure, they are as close to the Dream as they are to Nightmare. It makes things challenging when both sides aren't over fond of you.
Riaghael
He used to be a lot closer to the Dream, perhaps even at the level of Calguais. The mental break he had put a huge wedge between him and the Dream and it's now a very faint connection.
Naechdion
Is not close to the Dream, since he was supposed to be a champion of Mordremoth. His Dream experience was vague and scary and he rejects it. Would be Soundless if it didn't mean having to ask how to do some of the blocking techniques.
Glanaim
Very nearly Soundless. He's not interested in the shared empathy of things as he views it as a cheap way to get to know someone. It's also why he doesn't get all prickly about some Nightmare Courtiers.
Deiliús
They're Nightmare now, the other side of the coin. Even if it hasn't made them cruel, it has distanced them from anyone besides other Courtiers. And since most Courtiers tend to be unkind, they distance themselves from those as well.
Bonus!
Caonaí is of the Shiverpeaks Tree, which connected her children to a Proto-Dream, a loose framework of the Dream. It was not as vibrant and nourishing because it didn't have very many, if any, memories of Sylvari to fill it. But when her Tree died, it denied the Shiverplants even that rough form of it. All 9 of them are Soundless now.
Mad and Diam are both fully and unshakably Nightmare. It brought out the worst of their behaviors and sustained them.

Random thoughts on hugging some of the plampts and warcats because I am soft and full of emotions today.
OC's and Hugs
Sigilis gives bone crushing bear hugs. She always smells like oil and stale beer and sometimes BO. Getting hugged too hard? Too bad. If you're not out of breath and sore was it REALLY a good hug.
Galla, awkward hugs. She's big and knows she's big, she doesn't want to hurt you so it's tricky. Usually a one armed side hug. She usually smells like weapon polish.
Valens - bombastic, swinging you around by your arms hugs. Very enthusiastic usually will make both of you dizzy. Doesn't usually smell like anything but her fur is very sparse and scratchy which can make it a little itchy.
Party - depends on what you need. She's refined the art of Hugs having to deal with a wide range of cubs. Supportive gentle hug? You got it. Rallying tight hug? No problem. Not a fan of hugs? Sure thing, a pat on the back for you. She smells like saltwater and smoke.
Ordia doesn't hug people.
Ruby Aenn - anyone remember glomps? Behold the tiny red menace, who will run at you full speed to tackle you into a hug. She's the biggest hugger but will respect boundaries if you tell her. She smells like cloves and anise. Will also lift you up off the ground to hug you if she can which is mortifying since she's very short.
Dion - doesn't know how to hug and is too shy to. Will give a thumbs up and maybe a nervous pat on the shoulder but that's about it. Smells like rain and the woods.
Glan - dramatic mf is a sucker for big sweeping hugs and making it a scene. Quite literally would sweep you off your feet but mainly to annoy you. Has been known to pick people up and carry them over his shoulder just to get a rise out of them. Smells like black tea.
Riag - once a huge hugger, and a hug with the whole body type of person, now touch avoidant if possible. Isn't always good at verbally comforting so usually will try to help by ways that aren't verbal/physical hug. Doesn't have a smell.
Dei - Smells very faintly of hyacinth flowers but also coppery sap. They have never been much of a hugger and prefer verbally comforting people if they can. However, when they do hug they are always the last to let go. Given that they are tall and lanky/bony, hugs can be a little awkward.

Quality Time
what is your muse’s ideal date night?
how comfortable is your muse with prolonged eye contact?
does your muse prefer conversation or just sitting quietly with their s/o?
is it easy for your muse to devote their full attention to one person at a time?
Glan goes big with his date nights, since he typically doesn't have the chance to have very many of them. As in once a dates been arranged he starts planning like the week before to make sure everything is set up as well as it can be. It's not just like a 2 hour meet and greet, this is gonna take from like 4pm to potentially midnight. The whole kit and cadoodle:
A really nice restaurant that's not so fancy that you feel you have to be on your best behavior but nice enough you would have to spend some time picking out an outfit.
Going out afterwards for aimless shopping at and window browsing.
Finishing the night with maybe going to a play / musical performance (think like a jazz concert) and drinks.
((this is the PG version fhfhfhfhf))
Extremely. To the point of using it to get people flustered on purpose. He is in fact a little shit about it.
Quietly sitting! Date nights are for being talkative and boisterous. Other times are for enjoying company.
Yes and no. In regards of dating, absolutely, even though he's a terrible flirt - he's able to devoted himself to one person at a time and prefers it.
But in regards to his life as a whole not so much - his job and the stress it puts on him makes him have scattered attention and focus. When you don't know where you're going to be spending the next day let alone the next month it's hard to be devoted. If his target gets spooked and flees at the drop of a hat all plans get changed and there's very little he can do about it.
