WK3.2 In-class peer Case Study Activity

In the first half of class today we worked on doing a peer discussion on the three case studies we had completed. This activity was very beneficial to do because I was able to get some feedback and also get to see what the other person, Billie has to say about my idea and the case studies. Having another view/eye on this is always good because it allows me to think about things I hadn't thought about. The three case studies that I presented are The Rubbish Famzine No.6, DNA Distillery and the Prior collage.

Agree on incorporating Cyrillic into this, would be cool to see

Do you think that the aesthetic communicates Macedonian visual culture?

Is there something that is key to your project? ie making it rally recognisably Macedonian?

Is the target market/audience primarily Macedonian New Zealanders?

If so, collage and mixed media is maybe a nice metaphor for immigration/growing up with culture outside of the dominant one you're in.

Some other feedback and tips that Billie gave me was to look at Op shops because they sometimes have magazines, books, and stuff that you could use towards the making of the collages. As well as looking at National Geographic magazines because some of them may have Macedonian based things. Also go into Glengary and look at the gift packs. And how they work with the packaging and how the box works with it. Also look at One Design on Best Awards because they always work on bottle designs. Could be good to see how they work with all the components and as inspiration too.
