ITEMS in the star trek go kart racing game
-> subspace mines you can drop on the track. players see a visual disturbance in the area and if they drive into it they spin out in a little explosion or electric effect
-> alien disease in a little vial or spores or something. leaves a small cloud effect behind you as you drop it that will clear after a few seconds. if any players drive through their driver gets sick and their kart speed drops dramatically for a few seconds
-> PHASER CHARGES okay so each kart has a phaser. they have two types of attacks one takes up 1 energy and causes a small spin out for the victim if you line it up (green shell) . the second attack uses all your energy but ensures youve locked on target (like red shell) and causes a bigger spin out. different ships have different phaser charge levels i thinkkkk but its usually between 3-5 charges for the big attack. you can pick up phaser charge cells from items usually just one but you can get three at a time or a "unlimited level one charge" type item that gives you a few seconds of lots of small shots (like the fire flower in mario kart)
-> dilithium crystals that give you a momentary speed boost
-> temporary cloaking devices that allow you to become invisible to other players and invincible to their items
-> transwarp conduit codes that allow you to skip a small portion of the track and potentially transport ahead of other players
-> shield booster gives you temporary immunity to other items
-> transporter boost that allows you to "beam" another players items into your inventory
-> "computer virus" that "shuts down sensors" essentially just adds a glitch effect to other players screens so visibility is poor for a few seconds like the squid ink in MARIOS KART
well thats all the ones i thought of

Researching Arcade games
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The objective of the arcade video game 'Duck Hunt' is to shoot ducks or clay pigeons which appear on screen. What is unique about it's hardware is that in Duck Hunt you use a gun to shoot the ducks on the screen. What makes the gun unique to the game is how you aim and shoot. The gun has a light sensor which is able to see a small portion of the screen and when you pull the trigger, the screen is momentarily preplaced with all black and a white box where the duck is, if the sensor sees light, you hit the duck or clay pigeon. I believe the best controller for the game is a gun as it re-enacts the fact people who live in the fields shoot birds from flocks for fun or for a source of income or food. The requirements to play the game is that you need to have mobility with your arms and hands, so for those who have disabilities with their arms and hands don't have advantages for this game. Road Rash (1988) – Bike-racing game with unique learning mechanics.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Road Rash is a motorcycle racing game, a name which contains the slang term for the friction burns that can occur when a motorcyclist falls at a high speed. The objective is for you to cross the finish line in illegal races across the United States. What is unique about its hardware is that the game contains a brutal combat system where you race through various tracks filled wit twists and turns, however you engage in hand-to-hand combat with rival bikers, using weapons like your fists, clubs, chains, etc. Due to this unique system added, it gives players the feelings of dopamine. Those who are fans of adrenaline-pumping racing games will enjoy the way you'll be on the edge of your seat when playing. For this game I feel like if they had access to driving wheels they could have produced a good physical game which would excite many. Like Mario Kart in arcades, they make everyone feel excited. Playing this game you need mobility in your hands to play however I feel like those who are good with their legs could play this game exceptionally well, just the same as when people play this game with their hands.
Crazy Taxi (1999) – Drive wildly and deliver passengers in a fast-paced, wheel-controlled game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Crazy Taxi is a game where your objective is to pick up customers and take them to their chosen destination as quickly as possible. What is unique about this games is that they have a unique way of accumulating money within the game. You pick up your customers and take them to their destination as quickly as possible, however the twist is, to earn more money you perform crazy stunts before your time runs out. They also give the indicators of a green arrow for long distances, yellow for intermediate distances and red for short trips. How they added more excitement into the game was through the stunts and arrows give players a clue on how long a trip should take and they will also do their best to do as many stunts whilst driving as possible. In my opinion without the stunts, the game would be quite a boring driving game. For a driving game I believe using a wheel to drive is the most realistic and adds to the fun of playing the game, as just using buttons would be more boring and you'd also have to remember which button is used for what, however with driving, all systems work the same as for when you'd drive in real life. The requirements to play Crazy Taxi is to be age 12+ years old. In my opinion this game isn't very accessible to everyone as it is a game which uses a lot of your body, using your legs and arms, which can be inconvenient to those who are disabled whether it is upper body or lower body. I would also say that if children wanted to play this game, I think it would be preferred to have a feature for their chairs to go forward or backwards as it can give kids more access and mobility to play the game, as they may not be tall enough.
Space Harrier (1985) – Fast-paced on-rails shooter controlled by an arcade flight stick.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Space Harrier is a third person arcade rail shooter game developed by Sega. It's objective is to destroy all enemies in the game who range from prehistoric animals like Chinese dragons, to flying robots, airborne geometric objects and alien pods. Whilst destroying all enemies you have to be in a constant motion in order to dodge projectiles and immovable ground obstacles. What is unique about Space harrier with its hardware, is the face it as one of the first arcade releases to use 16-bit graphics and scaled sprite technology, which allowed pseudo-3D sprite scaling at high frame rates (displaying 32,000 colours on screen). This gives the game a good variety of enemies, unique patterns and movements which gives each stage of the game a unique feeling. I think the controller for the game adds on to how unique the game is, as the game is fast paced and your constantly moving, the controller for the game is the most suitable. It is a game which is suited for everyone in terms of age. Mobility wise you are required to have mobility for your hands, meaning if both of your hands didn't have any mobility it wouldn't be a suitable game for you to play.

Off-Road Advantage
Read on AO3
In which the gang plays Mario Kart Wii
"Motherfucker!"
"Jeez McLean, language," Percy tutted, looking just as smug as Wario on the screen, celebrating Luigi hitting his banana. He looked less smug when, in the next moment, Piper sent a well-aimed green shell speeding towards his kart.
"Oh shit," he muttered, swerving to avoid it and subsequently falling off the track.
"You're such a hypocrite!" Piper cried, nearly sending Luigi off the edge as she jumped in indignation.
"Just ignore him, he gets weird about Mario Kart," Annabeth said. She was, predictably, winning; sitting on the floor directly in front of the sensor. "It's an only child thing."
"Okay, first of all I am not an only child. Tyson is my brother and technically so is every horse," Percy said, Wario safely back on the track and making up time surprisingly quickly.
"Horses can't play Mario Kart," Jason said. His eyes scrunched up in concentration, despite having been bullied into wearing his glasses by Piper 20 minutes earlier.
Right after making this astute point to Percy, Princess Peach sailed off the edge of the course. Jason sighed. He was, unfortunately, very terrible at Mario Kart. Camp Half-Blood had the privilege of owning a very abused Wii system, but Camp Jupiter had had no such luxury. As such, Jason had very little practice, and did not quite have the finesse required of a decade old Wii remote to make sharp turns.
"Whatever," Percy said, "The point is, I'm not an only child, and I don't get weird about Mario Kart."
"You absolutely get weird about Mario Kart," Annabeth said.
"Only because it's the only thing I can actually beat you at," Percy said, abandoning all pretense about having a normal attitude towards Mario Kart. Annabeth laughed.
"You can't beat me at Mario Kart," Annabeth said.
As if to prove her point, Yoshi sailed across the finish line, holding a solid ten second lead.
"Why the hell do you play with Yoshi, anyways," Piper asked, only a little bit bitter as Luigi rolling over the line in a respectable second place. Waluigi made third, half a second behind Piper. Princess Peach was in 12th, a half-lap behind the nearest computer.
"It's the most efficient," Percy said, nudging the back of Annabeth's head with his knee. She elbowed him in the leg in response.
"Look, the kart has a high drift, the speed is decent and Yoshi has off-roading advantage–"
"You only need off-roading advantage if you can't steer," Percy said. Jason promptly sent Peach flying into a patch of dirt.
"I can steer just fine, it's about not losing acceleration. It's simple math."
"You did math to pick your player and I'm the one who's weird about Mario Kart?"
"You guys are both weird," Piper said, patting Jason's arm sympathetically as the last NPC crossed the finish line, denying Peach a chance to complete her race for the third time in a row.
"You know what, just for that we're doing Rainbow Road," Annabeth said, wielding her player 1 remote like a knife. Piper and Percy groaned.
"What's Rainbow Road?" Jason asked nervously.
"I'm sorry babe," Piper said.
"Yeah Jason, I'm sorry my girlfriend is a sadist," Percy said. Annabeth elbowed at him again, but Percy was expecting it this time and managed to dodge.
The screen surveyed the Rainbow Road course, in all it's twisty, no-railing, rainbow glory.
"Oh no," Jason said sadly.
"Think of who you're hurting with this, Annabeth," Percy said, "Jason doesn't deserve this."
"Jason is necessary collateral damage. Sorry, Jason."
"It's alright. I lose every course anyways," Jason said, sounding very resigned to an unenjoyable four minutes.
"Your biggest issue is that you turn too hard, you only need to go 45 degrees for a light curve, not a full 180," Annabeth said. The course counted down to one, and Yoshi shot forward ahead of everyone, already pulling a lead.
"Don't keep bringing math into this," Piper groaned, tossing a green shell in Annabeth's general direction. It sailed harmlessly off the side of the course.
"It's the easiest way to explain it!" Annabeth protested.
Jason experimentally turned the remote a fraction of his usual degree. Peach skirted along the edge of the track, but mercifully did not fall.
"See, it worked," Annabeth said, biting her lip as Yoshi made a tight turn.
Another kart bumped into Jason's, and Peach rocketed off the side of the track.
"Kind of worked," Annabeth amended, "That wasn't about the steering."
"I think Jason is just cursed," Percy said. Wario was pulling a solid 5th place, having been hit by several shells right out of the gate. He was gaining speed though, and coming up on some item boxes.
"I think I just suck," Jason said, as the cloud fairy dropped him back on the track in his usual 12th place.
"You just need practice," Piper said, rather generously. Luigi was in second place, not too far behind Yoshi, but far enough that she would need an item or a major fuck-up on Annabeth's part to make first.
"You need a Bullet Bill," Percy said, crashing into an item box.
"What's that?" Jason asked, but Percy was too busy laughing to answer. His item had settled on a blue shell.
"Percy, if you send that at me I swear I will break up with you," Annabeth said, sounding deadly serious as Yoshi passed into his second lap.
"No you won't," Percy said cheerfully, clicking the appropriate button. The shell whizzed away, and Annabeth sighed deeply.
"I hate you."
"No you don't."
"In this moment? Yes I do."
The blue shell circled around Yoshi once, then slammed down into his kart. Piper was close enough to get caught in the blast, and she groaned loudly.
"Fuck you Percy," She said, shaking her controller, trying to revive Luigi quicker. It was no use; Wario sped past the two lopsided karts, Percy laughing all the while.
"Your days are numbered, Jackson," Annabeth said dryly.
"Ooh, we're doing last names now Chase?" Percy taunted, unaffected by her tone. He seemed to be thoroughly enjoying Wario's lead, making him do a rather excessive flip off one of the ramps.
Meanwhile, Jason had managed to snag a Bullet Bill in an item box, but when it dropped him off at the end of his run, Princess Peach was still in last place.
"Aw man," Jason sighed, dejected.
"Dude, I'm about to lap you," Percy said, frowning at Jason's quarter of the screen.
"I keep falling off," Jason said.
"Try slowing down," Annabeth suggested.
"That sounds counter-productive."
"You're only falling because you can't control the kart at the velocity you're hitting," Annabeth said, knowledgably, "If you slow down a bit it'll be easier to steer."
"Are you sure you aren't using the remote Leo junked out?" Piper asked, risking a glance at Jason's remote. It was grungy and beat up, but didn't look any different than the other equally grungy and beat up remotes.
"I think I'm just not built for this."
"Jason Grace. Son of Jupiter, Praetor of Rome, Titan Slayer. Bested by Mario Kart Wii," Percy said, as he lapped Jason's kart.
"It's hard!"
"Don't worry babe, I'll get him back," Piper said, also passing Jason, only she had a red shell in store. She shot it at Percy and it hit it's target easily. She slammed into Percy's kart for good measure, and Wario ricocheted off the course.
"I probably deserved that," Percy said glumly.
"You definitely deserved that." Annabeth said.
"Can we do a course with walls next?" Jason asked, driving Peach at a snail's pace, making every turn but not gaining any ground.
"Yeah, we wouldn't want Annabeth's off-road advantage to go to waste," Percy said.
"Excuse me, I haven't fallen off this course once," Annabeth said primly, getting a mushroom and using it to overtake Piper seconds before they both crossed the finish line.
"How the hell do you come in first every single time!" Piper exclaimed, throwing her remote down on the couch cushion in frustration.
"Math," Annabeth said, stretching triumphantly as Yoshi took a victory lap.
"It's literally just dumb luck," Percy said, rolling over the finish line in 5th place, "I think Connor Stoll rigged player one to always win."
"I can beat any of you with any remote," Annabeth said, waving her hand dismissively.
"Well, we all can beat Jason," Percy said.
Peach was once again cemented into 12th place as the last computer-controlled kart crossed the finish line.
"I could beat you in a real fight," Jason said, but it came out particularly half-hearted, what with Peach crying into her hands on the screen.
"Nah, you couldn't," Percy said cheerfully, "Though, if we wanted to test that–"
"No," Piper and Annabeth said, simultaneously.
"Relax! I was going to say we should play Smash, I know it's around here somewhere–"
"Oh, you are so on." Piper said, picking up her controller again.
"What's smash?" Jason asked, apprehensive.
"It's easier," Piper promised.
"Can I fall off things?"
"Mm, only about half of the time. You can choose someone who flies, though."
Jason's eyes brightened.
"I like flying."
"Just think of it like this," Percy said, clapping Jason on the shoulder, "You can't be worse at this than you are at Mario Kart."
"That's good enough for me."

Past and Present: Chapter 13
After the conversation had ended, both Danny and Sarah had searched the house for Sam to no avail.
While Danny seemed very worried, Sarah knew her granddaughter well and assured him she'd be back soon; she just needed time to cool off and think.
And as much as he wanted to search for her, he had his own issues to figure out.
From what Clockwork had explained the day of his resurrection, he knew that memories would slowly come back the more he stayed in Amity Park, but he'd never expected the sudden burst of his past like that of what he had received today.
'Even when I discovered my name, the memories didn't come back that quickly. Is this what the dragon-girl meant about being of both realms? Is there something in me that's pulling back these memories?'
'These memories, they're messing me up. Making me flicker, fall, feel warm. Something is going on here that Clockwork failed to explain…'
Clockwork. Was it possible that Clockwork was the one sharing these memories with him? Making him remember? After all, when Danny was resurrected, Clockwork had hinted that there was more to the story.
'Did he ever mention a prophecy? I can't even remember now…'
He had tried to get the details of his most recent ghost battle out of his head, but there was something about her prophecy, the way she said, "lives on both realms," that made Danny believe it was about more than just his choice to live in the human world.
'Could I possibly still have some humanity? Even just a trace? I've yet to meet any other ghost who has memories and emotions like I do…'
That wasn't saying much, as he had only starting battling ghosts out here recently and hadn't been given a chance to meet any in the zone. But still, all the ghosts he had met attacked first and asked questions never.
'Why me? Why was I the one who was resurrected? Why not pick a ghost with no history in this stupid town? No chance at making mistakes. No chance at falling in love…'
LOVE.
What a powerful combination of letters, once used to describe the way he felt as a human, now used to describe the way he felt as a ghost. Somehow, love always had a way of messing him up.
While exploring all of these thoughts, Danny had been flying over the town, checking all the places they had visited on their recent dates, and even some they hadn't. But Sam was making herself harder to find than even himself when he went invisible.
'Sam. I really hope you didn't do something stupid tonight. If you ever let the truth about my past affect our future, I don't know what I'd do. I can't lose someone again, not this way…'
Although it was true that he had once had feelings for Sarah Manson, that was 50 years ago, when they were BOTH teenagers. Now here he was, stuck in his teenage form, while she was in her late 60's. There was no way that could work, and frankly, Danny didn't want it to. Whether it was some form of humanity in him, or just ghostly emotions playing tricks, he knew what he wanted.
And what he wanted was Sam.
--
It was getting late, and despite her rebellious side when it came to her home life, Sam still felt like she was doing something wrong. But she didn't want to go home – her parents were away on business and the last person she wanted to see was her grandmother.
Everywhere in town reminded her of him and the fun they had had in the past few weeks. Dates, explorations, even just random walks, all seemed like a total lie now.
'He let you think he cared about you. He made you feel special. And the whole time he was hiding the truth, hiding himself!'
Sam knew that Danny hadn't always remembered the truth about his past; and she had always given him the benefit of the doubt when he said memories just sort of appeared. But she also knew that memories as big as his former relationship with her grandmother had to have arrived before today, and was certain that she had helped bring them back.
'I did always take pride in getting my looks from Grandma…'
Sam didn't want to blame her grandma, honest and truly she knew that it wasn't her fault, but she also didn't believe that her grandma wasn't hiding more from her in regards to her past and the memories of what once was.
'She moved on, met my grandpa and had my dad. But now that I think about it, she never really wanted to talk about her childhood, or college years, or really anything before I was born.''
Her head hurt from all the thinking. She needed somewhere to go, something to do to get her mind onto anything else.
Her mind wandered back to the school, specifically the roof, and what she had almost done that night. Why not go back? Try again, and maybe succeed this time.
'Not like I have much going for me here…' she found herself thinking glumly as instinct led her to the gym.
'He's not around. He won't stop you this time. Just go up, take a breath and step…'
She stopped at the corner, looking both ways and thinking. To her right, the school and her possible fate. The left? Well the left was another familiar place, and possibly a different chance to escape for awhile.
She pulled out her cellphone, hit the speed dial for 3, and smiled when the call went through.
"Hey Tuck, you busy? Mind if I come over and hang out?
--
"Give it up Tucker, I beat you AGAIN!"
Sam and Tucker were sitting in the basement of Tucker's condo, playing Mario Kart and drinking diet soda. While Tucker had ample opportunities to practice, it being his game, somehow Sam had managed to beat him in every race.
And you could tell by the look on Tucker's face that he was not happy.
"Geeze Sam, cut a dude a break sometimes ok?"
"Never! I will forever be the queen of Rainbow Road!"
Tucker just rolled his eyes before grabbing the remote and flipping off the TV.
"What?! No! I was just warming up!" Sam cried, looking over at her friend in despair.
"Sam, something is up," Tucker began, a look of worry entering his face. "You only play this good when you need to forget about life for awhile, and given that it's close to 1AM, you must have a lot to forget."
The girl next to him crossed her arms and turned away, trying not to act like a complete baby, but knowing that Tucker would eventually wear her down and get the truth.
'But what if he can't handle the truth? What I almost did. What I want to do.'
Tucker had always been a good friend to her, even when she was a total spaz. Maybe that's why she had decided to turn left instead of right earlier.
But despite it all, she could never admit to him what she had been wanting to do for quite some time.
His voice broke her silence.
"Sam… Is it Phantom?"
Hearing his ghostly name struck a cord, and Sam slowly turned around.
She didn't know what to say, not really. Again Tucker was right, but again she couldn't admit it.
"His name is Danny, by the way…" she began, saying the only thing that made sense.
Tucker's eyebrows raised a bit at that name, as if maybe he knew something.
"Danny… Why does that seem so familiar?"
"I've used it before…" Sam began raising hers back.
"I know, I know, but for some reason it really strikes a chord today." 'Who's mental now?'
"But seriously Sam, please, as your friend, tell me what is going on." Tucker reached his hand over to Sam's shoulder, pulling her into him.
"It's complicated, really complicated…" Sam sighed.
'How do I explain to my best friend that my boyfriend used to date my grandmother?'
"You know me, I live for complicated," Tucker smiled.
"It's just… it turns out that he had a life… back then…"
'That seems safe…'
"Well of course he did, he wasn't always a ghost!"
"But that's the thing. Some of the research I've been doing says that some ghosts really are just forms of ectoplasm, not spirits of those past. While others are from our past, but always seem to have an evil motive. No one on record has ever experienced a ghost as human as Danny."
"Woah, Sam, when have you had time for research?"
"Tuck, I do more than you think."
'I hang out in goop covered labs. I contemplate stepping off roofs. I make out with ghosts…'
Trying to forget the last one, she let out a soft laugh, knowing that Tucker spent most of his time researching the latest gadgets.
"But we always knew he had a past Sam, so why should that matter now?" Tucker continued.
"Like I said, it's complicated. But trust me when I say that me and Danny are done for a bit." She turned away again, tears beginning to form in her eyes.
She had yet to admit out loud that maybe she and Danny were really DONE. While she knew it was rough, it was a hard thing to just give up. But telling Tucker made it real.
"Danny… Wait! I remember now!" Tucker interrupted the silence after a few minutes.
"Hmmm?" Sam said, turning around and wiping her tears.
"Remember when Lancer gave that stupid report on family history, I was at the cemetery looking up old Foleys. Somehow I got lost and found myself in Fe's and not Fo's. Normally I wouldn't care, but there was one that stood out to me, surrounded by irises like someone had just left them."
Sam swallowed a breath, knowing what was coming.
"The name said Danny Fenton," Tucker finished.
--
When Danny felt down, he retreated to one of two places.
Seeing as one was the sight of their first date, he had chosen the second today and found himself hovering silently in the Fenton lab.
'Wish that damn portal would open…' he thought as he stared at the yellow and black bars until they made him dizzy.
The Fentons weren't around right now, the house was silent, which meant that he didn't have to stay invisible as he wandered around the lab.
Having discovered his magic soup/ghost holder here before, he had hoped maybe there would be something else waiting for him today. And as the Fentons had become rather predictable, his hopes were correct.
Laying on one of the tables was what looked like an open triangle, made of steel and containing glowing green sensors. Danny knew he should remember the proper name for such an object, but his memory was failing him at that moment.
Either way, he had to investigate, and slowly floated over to pick it up.
The device itself was rather light, and it looked like it had some sort of air powered jets on the back. What for, he wasn't sure, but he was both scared and curious to find out.
Moving it around in his hands, he couldn't find any sort of activation switch, only lots of lights and sensors, a few of which glowed slightly when he touched it.
The glowing was enough to scare him off; the fear of some sort of alarm or ecto-activated weapon was far greater than his curiosity about the object.
'File this under: Don't touch,' He thought as he quickly put the item down and moved away from the table.
However, his business wasn't done and he now knew that curiosity had been known to get the better of him in his former life. So much so that he was now in front of the computer, trying to figure out just what the heck the point was.
As if answering his internal questions, the screen suddenly buzzed on, showing an alert.
5PM. Deliver flowers to cemetery. DO NOT FORGET.
Danny just stared at it, wondering what it meant before it went blank. Seeing as it was much later than five, he assumed that the Fentons had either forgotten to turn off the memo or forgotten to visit the cemetery.
'Technology. What else can you do?' he asked himself as he stared at the now black screen, his green eyes reflecting back.
'Maybe it can provide me with answers…' His hand reached for the little device he had seen Jack use before to navigate the computer.
The screen sprang to life, taking him directly to a long list of what he assumed must be locations of things on the computer. Using the device to move a small white arrow, he let his eyes wander as he read off the list.
"Portal X. Doom. Candy Crush? What kind of crazy stuff are you doing down here Jack?"
He kept reading, hoping for something useful, all the while a little red dot in the corner blinking with the reminder he had seen before.
He was about to give up when he discovered an picture that looked like a file folder labeled, "Family Photos."
'What, no more physical albums?'
He had a feeling he knew what he'd find when he clicked the folder, and his instincts were right. The first thing to pop up was the image he had seen before – him and Jazz – but given the time to truly look at it, he realized just how much he had missed his sister.
She had always been his rock, even more so than Sarah. Constantly standing up for him, keeping him safe from harm.
And how had he returned the favor? By dying.
He couldn't stand it, and quickly hit the small white arrow he assumed to be the "next" symbol. A new photo appeared, this time of his whole family.
"Mom. Dad…"
He hit the arrow again, unable to take it as he found himself immersed in even more old photos.
"Just look away Fenton, remember, you can always look away…"
But he really couldn't. As much as it hurt, he needed to see these things to remind himself of what he had lost.
The last photo was what did it, causing him to step back and turn away, a small tear in his eye.
The photo showed two young friends, one a messy haired boy, the other a wide eyed girl. Even in black and white, he knew those eyes were violet. They couldn't be more than ten, and they were together in the sandbox, working on an elaborate castle. The caption at the top said nothing more than "Danny and childhood friend."
"Childhood friend? That's it? No 'Sarah' or 'Girlfriend'?"
Things began to click as he thought about it. The Fentons, to his knowledge, had never actually mentioned Sarah. And if they knew who she was, he was sure they would have been all over her for answers.
'They really don't know. Did Jazz ever even mention the relationship I had with Sarah'
He found the X in the corner and quickly clicked it, wanting to put that part of his life behind. It had been a long day, what with Sarah and Sam and everything that had been discovered, and honestly he was ready to forget it all over again.
However, the one thing—erm person, who could make him do that was currently the reason he needed to forget.
He took one last look at the strange computer, watching the screen slowly fade back to black. Could he really live in this world? One where memories were stored on devices and music was full of angst?
The black screen continued to reflect his green eyes, but he could have sworn, if even for a second, he had seen a hint of blue.

Locomo SBV vs. Electric scooters: Who Wins?
The electric bikes could be considered as a transformative present day replacement of the kick bike, with the distinction that it is controlled by an electric engine.
On the opposite side, the Locomo SBV are characterized as self-adjusting bikes likewise moved by an electric power. Their engines are introduced inside each wheel. These bikes have a whirligig and a speed increase sensor that makes them push ahead or in reverse and shift the course.
Right away, the Locomo SBV look much more alluring and polished, because of their creative plan. However, the two vehicles enjoy a benefits and drawbacks that should be thought of, particularly in the event that you want a vehicle for your everyday drive or a really long outing.
Also checkout the BERG Go-Karts by visiting the given link.
Simple to utilize
These bikes are contemporary and intended to compare to clients' necessities with the goal that they are both truly simple to utilize. The impediment of the hoverboard is that toward the starting you demand greater investment to rehearse on the grounds that the equilibrium of the body position is the way in to its moving.
While alluding to the kids, the Locomo SBV are more hard to utilize in light of this equilibrium and to that end they are not suggested for them. If you have any desire to make your child cheerful and keep him/her protected simultaneously, give him/her an electric bike. Joyor H1 is a model extraordinarily intended to be utilized by kids.
Size
With regards to the solace of the clients, the vehicle should be effortlessly shipped and put away, and this relies generally upon its size.
The Locomo SBV are generally little and light, their weight is around 10kg.
The electric bikes are greater, however their plan permits them to be collapsed with the goal that they diminish their size and satisfy the necessities for solace.
Distance range
The distance range is a significant variable, particularly when you utilize the electric bike habitually. Not entirely set in stone by the limit of the battery.
The two kinds of bikes are fueled by a lithium battery, all things considered, the distance scope of the Locomo SBV is more modest. A large portion of the Locomo SBV have a distance range between 10-20 km. Then again, the electric bikes come in various models and with various specialized highlights which permit them to have a greater distance range. A few models of Joyor, for example, Joyor Y10 and Joyor F5+ can arrive at up to 100 km with a solitary battery charge.
Speed
The speed factor relies upon the guidelines in each state, city, country and so forth. On account of Europe, in numerous nations, as far as possible is 25 km/h. A large portion of the Locomo SBV can arrive at up to 15 km/h, while the electric bikes can arrive at a more significant level of speed.
The speed depends on the force of the engine, yet additionally on the territory. The plan of the Locomo SBV doesn't permit them to be driven on an uneven street, all things considered, they could be driven exclusively on a level surface with practically no flaws. The lopsidedness of the street can cause you to lose your equilibrium so you can without much of a stretch tumble off.
On the opposite side, the electric bikes can be driven even on a rough street due to their construction, which is more strong and secure. Additionally, there are models with greater tires and better retention frameworks, similar to the ones of the X Series, which ingest the inconsistencies of the street and assurance you a protected ride.
Wellbeing
Security is presumably the main component while alluding to method for transport.
Past cases show that the Locomo SBV can detonate in light of the battery which will in general overheat without any problem. Likewise, on account of their construction, individuals lose equilibrium and tumble off simpler, while on the electric bike you can move with greater edge and its design is most certainly more steady and strong.
A ultimate choice of which kind of bike is better is yours, however essentially from these outcomes we can say that the electric bike is more secure than the hoverboard and could be utilized for longer distance trips. It can likewise arrive at a higher speed level (continuously as per as far as possible guidelines). In the event that you want transportation in your regular daily practice, whether or not you really want to get to work or simply need to go for a "walk", the electric bike is more strong and dependable.
Joyor Electric Bike is the organization that drives the new electric portability idea in Europe by bringing to the market the broadest scope of electric bikes for any taste or need. Joyor is an electric and foldable bike intended for individual transportation and relaxation. Quick, sturdy, strong, protected and simple to ride, Joyor is planned in the Netherlands. A New Kind of Fun
My plans for three reviews in three nights was a wee bit ambitious, but I’m not stopping this blog. I have progress to make! So, without further ado…here’s a review.
I was a bit of a poser as a kid - I was drawn to the popular skater aesthetic but I was neither athletic nor cool enough to actually own a skateboard. I pored over the CCS catalog for hours, picking out tees, wheels, trucks, and deck designs. I purchased a few t-shirts from CCS in middle school and wore them with pride. But by high school, I realized I wasn’t fooling anyone. Life moved on and traveling by car became more important. And like most people, I started to associate skateboarding with immaturity.
Fast forward to 2022 and I’m through with maturity. Then I stumbled on the OneWheel Pint - It’s a motion-controlled, gyroscopically balanced, all-terrain electric skateboard thing. It weighs 23 lb and rolls on a repurposed go-kart wheel. I decided I needed to have one. It was the idea of ‘carving’ like on a snowboard that drew me in. I soon realized that the outdoors store down the road is the only OneWheel retailer in Wisconsin. My excitement took over and I bought one as an early Father’s Day gift to myself. It cost about $1000. The wife was thrilled, of course. As a gesture of my appreciation, I chose a fender in sensible, mature gray.
The day I got it, I was utterly driven to learn to ride.  After the kids went to bed, I taught myself in the basement to mount it, steer it, and most importantly, STOP it.  I bailed a lot.
That’s the trickiest thing to learn: the Pint is controlled only with your front foot. There are toe and heel pressure sensors. To start rolling, there must be weight on both sensors. To dismount, there are two options: lean back or lift your front heel. If you start to lose control, you MUST take your front foot off the board, or the wheel won’t stop as you fall off.  If you develop that muscle memory, you are good to go.
Once rolling, you lean forward to speed up, lean back to slow down. If you lean forward too far and reach top speed (15 mph), the OneWheel begins to push you back towards horizontal.  And there’s a beginner’s setting which
I have had an absolute blast on the thing. It’s thrilling to take off and reach top speed on a residential street (15mph feels plenty fast). I love the challenge of maintaining balance up and down hills, over uneven grass. I love low-speed carving on walks with the kids. I’m gradually learning to ride revert (opposite leg forward).  I’ve turned my neighborhood’s driveways and bike paths into quarter-pipes.
I love my Pint. I want to ride every day.  I think I’m finally graduating from poser to skater.

2020 Mini Cooper SE First Test: I Wish I Could Recommend It
All signs point to the 2020 Mini Cooper SE electric car as being the superior variant of the storied little hatchback. A battery-powered drivetrain should eliminate unwelcome vibrations from the occasionally lumpy gas options, and instant torque should provide a scaled-up electric go-kart experience as suggested by the Cooper S badge epoxied to the hatch. Volkswagen is likely denying us the plug-in hybrid Golf GTE, so this motorized Mini is our best bet for an electro-Germanic hot hatch, right?
Even considering this is now the least expensive battery-powered vehicle on the market, the electric Mini Cooper SE hardtop two-door let me down. Yes, this is an EV with every ounce of retro-modern styling and personality Mini buyers are after, but its flaws are too significant to overlook.
First Impressions
Mini nailed the styling. The new EV is exclusively offered in the two-door hatch body style, which most closely resembles Minis of old and avoids the stretched dachshund look of the four-door variant, though cramped rear-seat passengers may object. Compared to the market’s alternative affordable EVs—the Hyundai Ioniq Electric and base Nissan Leaf—the Mini might as well be a Jaguar E-Type.
Our White Silver test vehicle included standard electric yellow accents on the front grille, wing mirrors, fender badges, and hatch, plus a set of optional EV-exclusive (and unfortunately named) Corona Spoke 17-inch wheels with yellow striping. Yellow flourishes carry over inside, complemented by quilted leather sport seats. There are constant visual reminders you didn’t buy any old Mini.
The fancy rolling stock is part of the top-spec Iconic trim that adds a panoramic moonroof, a larger 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, premium Harman Kardon audio, front and rear parking sensors, power-folding side mirrors, and Mini’s head-up display for a cool $7,000 over the base car. Candidly, we’d skip it.
The base infotainment system still offers Apple CarPlay, that panoramic roof encroaches on already limited headroom, and the dash-mounted head-up display projects the same information as the new digital instrument cluster, just a couple inches higher on a piece of Plexiglas (instead of being projected on the windshield like pricier systems). Besides, the Cooper SE is more appealing at $30,750 minus the $7,500 federal tax credit than our example’s $37,750 as tested.
Is the Electric Mini Fast?
Let’s get numbers out of the way. This Mini’s BMW-engineered electric motor develops 181 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque, just shy of the power ratings of a turbo-four Cooper S. Take it to a dragstrip, and the Cooper Electric will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds and through the quarter mile in 14.7 seconds at 91.7 mph. The EV is quicker in the sprint than any Cooper S we’ve tested, although the gas car matches the electric’s quarter-mile time at a higher trap speed.
Our figure-eight test, which evaluates acceleration, braking, and cornering, exposed minor drawbacks. Although the electric variant beats a gas Cooper S off the line, the EV’s 26.9-second lap at 0.64 g is bested by the standard Cooper S’ 26.4 seconds at 0.69 g. Additional weight detracts from braking and cornering performance. That being said, it’s worth noting that the battery-powered Mini out-accelerates and boasts a quicker figure-eight lap than every electric under $50,000 outside a Tesla Model 3.
Mini Cooper Electric: Range and Charging
Remember when I said this is the least expensive EV on sale? That accolade comes with a catch. The Mini’s 32.6-kWh lithium-ion battery can propel the little electric just 110 EPA-rated miles on a single charge, fewer than any other electron-motivated vehicle on the market. At 108 mpg-e, it’s also the least efficient EV on the market, outside the performance-oriented Porsche Taycan.
Had the Cooper SE debuted five years ago alongside cars like the original 83-mile Volkswagen E-Golf or the early 81-mile BMW i3, 110 miles might be impressive. Compared with modern low-cost electrics including the 170-mile Hyundai Ioniq and the 149-mile base Nissan Leaf, the Mini’s range is something of an embarrassment.
Thankfully, with the right charger, the Cooper SE will charge pretty quick. Standard Level 2 public charging can restore the battery to 100 percent in four hours, but if you can find a Level 3 DC rapid charger, the Mini can charge at a rate of 50 kW and restore 80 percent of battery capacity in 40 minutes. As with all EVs, charging slows as the battery reaches its full capacity. The higher-trim Leaf SV can match it, and although the Ioniq can charge at a faster 100 kW, quick-charging the Hyundai’s larger-capacity battery to 80 percent takes 54 minutes.
Charging at home, your best bet is to install a 32-amp Level 2 home charger that can fully restore the battery in four hours. Charge time inflates to eight hours on a 240-volt power supply (the sort that powers your dryer) and 24 hours if you plug in to a standard 120-volt house outlet.
Driving the Mini EV
BMW’s house-built electric motor is immediate and frictionless; there’s no hesitation while the car searches for the proper gear or spools up its turbo, you just go. In place of a tachometer, a power gauge lit by 10 LEDs displays the percentage of available power the motor is delivering. In that instantly torquey, electric car kind of way, I regularly found myself whacking the accelerator and swinging the power gauge toward 100 percent.
Yes, the electric powertrain is smoother and has fewer moving pieces to keep this Mini from rattling itself apart, but the suspension might. Ride quality is firm, possibly a consequence of the taller springs and shocks borrowed from the Mini Countryman and Clubman to account for the battery’s additional weight and need to maintain ground clearance. (The EV’s 3,085-pound curb weight represents a 350-pound disadvantage compared with the last two-door Mini we tested.) Gut jiggle and head toss will plague all passengers, even on smoother pavement.
The cabin is also much louder than you’d expect of an electric. Of course, the powertrain itself is near silent, but tire and wind noise persist even at sub-highway speeds. Were I allowed a passenger in the seat beside me, I’d have had to raise my voice to be heard.
Is It Any Fun?
When it came time to ascend the coiled asphalt leading up Mount Baldy, I was ready for the Mini to impress. Sure, it’s a little stiff and noisy, but it’s quick, too, and those are traits I’d easily forgive in an engaging hot hatch. The first thing I noticed was grip, or lack thereof. There’s next to no body roll here, but audible protest screamed from the wheelwells at the slightest hint of cornering enthusiasm, and vicious understeer revealed itself as the default handling state.
That said, this electrified Mini is better balanced than the standard car, with 54/46 front-to-rear weight distribution instead of 68/32 in a Cooper S. There are a couple degrees of lift-off rotation to explore as the regenerative braking lightens the rear end, but vague steering robs any semblance of confidence. I’d draw comparisons to a video game, but even my entry-level racing wheel offers more consistent feedback.
The second bit that crossed my mind was that I was driving rather slowly. I knew the Mini wouldn’t feel as quick while fighting a steep uphill grade, but I was struggling to keep up with the Prius ahead of me on the straights. As I pulled off to create some distance for quick cornering, the issue became immediately apparent.
Remember those little LEDs alongside that power gauge? Just five were lit, meaning the Mini was only delivering half its available power output. (Testing director Kim Reynolds encountered a similar issue after two laps of our figure-eight course.) Allowing the powertrain a moment to cool down restored the power cap by the time I reentered the road, but I can’t call this car a hot hatch if it gives up half its grunt after less than a mile in the twisties.
I will say I love that Mini offers two levels of regenerative braking. Selectable via a toggle switch just left of your passenger’s knee, the lighter setting mimics regular engine braking; you can coast and creep as if you were driving a standard Mini. The stronger regenerative braking setting (which we prefer) enables true one-pedal driving capability, wherein lifting off the throttle initiates strong deceleration that you can fine-tune within the top inch or so of pedal travel. Smoothly coming to a stop without touching the brake is a fun and engaging little metagame.
Closing Thoughts
This car will work for some people. Not only does it provide superior performance and a lower price point than its two closest competitors, the Cooper Electric looks and feels like a Mini. Fans of the automaker who already have a reliable road-tripper in the driveway won’t mind the limited range and will smile every time they walk up to this car or experience its quick, effortlessly smooth powertrain.
But I can’t recommend the Cooper SE. It’s loud, stiff, it can’t sustain full power for very long, and it offers fewer miles of range than fellow staffer Alex Leanse can cover on a bicycle. It is not the confidence-inspiring electric hot hatch I had anticipated. Instead, it’s a style-over-substance, disappointing glimpse at how great an electric Mini could be.

Asus ROG Phone 2 Review
Tumblr media
A ‘gaming’ smartphone might seem like a very exciting proposition for enthusiasts, but how can a manufacturer get the average smartphone buyer to feel the same way? Asus launched the first ROG Phone (Review) last year, and while it was a good product, the high price of nearly Rs. 70,000 at the time meant that you really needed to be a die-hard gaming addict to even consider it over an iPhone, Google Pixel, or Samsung Galaxy device. That’s exactly what Asus wants to change with the ROG Phone 2.
While Asus has taken its time to launch this phone in India, we have seen other companies try to break into this niche segment throughout this year. We now have the Black Shark 2 (Review) which has a pressure-sensitive display, and the Nubia Red Magic 3 (Review), which boasts of an internal cooling fan, to consider as alternatives as gaming smartphones. However, Asus hasn’t left any stone unturned for its follow-up, packing it with pretty much every feature one could think of. The icing on the cake is definitely the price. The ROG Phone 2 starts at Rs. 37,999 in India, which is great not only for gaming enthusiasts but also for anyone who’s looking for a powerful flagship on a budget.
So, should you be considering the Asus ROG Phone 2 over, say, the new OnePlus 7T (Review) at the same price? And if you aren’t a gamer, does the ROG Phone 2 still make sense? Let’s find out.
Asus ROG Phone 2 design
The Asus ROG Phone 2 continues to sport an industrial look, just like the first version, but it’s a bit more tame this time around. The exposed air vent at the back is smaller and more discreet; the orange highlights for the stereo speakers on the front look more subtle; and the darker finish makes it look even more stealthy. There’s still no mistaking this for an ordinary smartphone though, especially when that ROG logo on the back lights up.
The size ROG Phone 2 is both bigger and heavier than its predecessor, making it one of the heaviest phones we’ve held in a while. It’s very thick at 9.48mm and weighs a whopping 240g. The weight isn’t a big issue when using it in the landscape orientation with both hands, but normal one-handed usage gets fatiguing quickly.
Asus has swapped the rear capacitive fingerprint sensor for an in-display one. Authentication works well but we found that we had to rest our finger there a little longer than usual before this works. It’s not as quick as some of the other in-display sensors we’ve used, like the one on the OnePlus 7T (Review). Face recognition is a lot quicker and works at odd angles too. The power and volume buttons are placed low on the right side of the phone and have good feedback.
Tumblr media
The in-display fingerprint sensor on the Asus ROG Phone 2 isn’t the fastest but success rate is good
The left side has an additional USB Type-C port, along with a custom port beside it for accessories. This Type-C port supports USB 3.1 (Gen2) standard, along with video output upto 4K resolution and Quick Charge 4.0, and it can be used for charging when you’re gaming in landscape mode. The Type-C port at the bottom supports USB 3.0 speed and also supports fast charging. The 3.5mm headphone socket is placed on the extreme right at the bottom, so wired headphones won’t get in the way when you’re gaming.
The 6.59-inch AMOLED display has a full-HD+ resolution but what’s impressive is that it has a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports 10-bit HDR and is claimed to be colour accurate with a Delta E average of less than 1. The max brightness is 600nits and there’s Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. The display has thick bezels on the top and bottom, but it doesn’t make the phone look ugly. The earpiece and the bottom speaker are forward-facing, for a better stereo effect. The dual Nano-SIM tray is placed on the left side, but there’s no slot for expanding storage.
The ROG Phone 2 also features the second version of Asus’s AirTrigger system, or shoulder buttons on the right side. Asus says the algorithm has been reworked, so you can now rest your fingers on them without activating them. There’s a new dual vibration system present too. The phone also uses a 3D vapour chamber system for cooling. According to Asus, a total of four Wi-Fi antennas and microphones have been placed at strategic points around the phone, which should provide optimal signal performance no matter how you hold it.
Tumblr media
The Aero Case comes bundled in the box of both variants
The base model of the ROG Phone 2, which we have, ships with an 18W charger, Type-C cable, SIM eject tool, and the Aero Case. The latter is more of a bumper case, as only the top and bottom portions have good plastic reinforcements while the rest of the body has large cutouts for the rear vent and logo. Asus says that this case was designed so that you can use the AeroActive Cooler without taking it off. This cooler is an optional accessory but if you buy the 512GB variant, it comes bundled. The top-end version, which costs a whopping Rs. 59,999, also gets you a 30W charger in the box.
You can also get other accessories for the ROG Phone 2, with prices ranging from Rs. 1,999 all the way up to Rs. 19,999.
Asus ROG Phone 2 specifications and software
According to Asus, the ROG Phone 2 has been built using some of the best components available in the market, including a special speed-binned Snapdragon 855+ SoC, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 3.0 storage. The phone is available in two RAM and storage variants — one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (Rs. 37,999) and the other with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage (Rs. 59,999). There’s a big jump going to the higher-end variant, and even with the extra accessories, that price seems way too high.
You also get dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, NFC, FM radio, the usual variety of sensors, satellite navigation systems, and USB-OTG. The ROG Phone 2 supports high-resolution audio through the 3.5mm headphone jack, with the ability to decode 192kHz/24-bit files. However, this phone does miss some flagship-level features such as an IP rating for water resistance and wireless charging.
Tumblr media
The Asus ROG Phone 2 has a vent on the back for air circulation
Just like the first ROG phone, Asus has put a lot of work into the software this time around too. You get Android 9 Pie with the August security patch and a custom skin. For the ROG Phone 2, you can choose a more vanilla Android theme during the setup process, instead of the default ROG theme. The latter does look cool and you have a choice between a dark and light version of it. Plus, when you enable X Mode, which is Asus’s performance mode, the wallpaper and highlights around the icons get aggressive red accents. If you’re not a fan of this, there’s always the classic theme to fall back upon.
Tumblr media
The ROG UI can be swapped for a stock Android look, in case it’s not your thing
In terms of installed apps, there isn’t much bloatware. There’s an Asus Data Transfer app for moving data from your old phone to the ROG Phone 2, and the Armoury Crate app, which is where you configure lighting effects for the logo; monitor the temperatures of the CPU and GPU; set the force level for the AirTriggers, etc. Android 9’s Digital Wellbeing suite is also present.
There’s more customisation to be had in the phone’s Settings app. AudioWizard lets you choose different sound presets. There’s an ‘Outdoor’ mode which boosts volume by sacrificing a bit of sound quality. You can manually choose between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz refresh rates for the screen, but you can’t switch between these dynamically based on the activity being performed.
Display colours can be tweaked; there’s an always-on display mode; and you can choose what icons you want in the status bar. The latter feature is very handy as you can have icons for things like NFC, X Mode, the refresh rate, etc, in the status bar so you can see what’s enabled without having to check the toggles in the notification shade.
Tumblr media
The Asus ROG Phone 2’s special features are highly customisable
The ‘Advanced’ menu in the Settings app has a tonne more options to tweak. Mobile Manager lets you clear RAM, manage data usage, and scan for viruses, and Game Genie is a very useful toolbar which can be accessed from within a game for configuring the AirTriggers, live streaming on YouTube, Twitch, etc. There are various touch and motion gestures, screen recording, and a one-handed mode. The AirTriggers menu lets you add ‘squeeze’ gestures for the bottom trigger, which can launch an action or an app with a short or a long squeeze.
Asus ROG Phone 2 performance and battery life
The ROG Phone 2’s mammoth size and weight are a little hard to get used to. As we mentioned before, it’s not a problem when you’re holding the phone with two hands for gaming, but for most other use cases, it gets fatiguing very quickly. However, if you’re someone who doesn’t mind large, heavy phones then you’ll probably like it. The glass back is a little slippery but the bundled case makes it easier to hold this phone with one hand. The addition of a notification LED near the earpiece is a nice touch.
As you’d expect, the ROG Phone 2 is also a beast of a performer. The 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling through apps and gameplay (in supported games) incredibly fun and fluid. 90Hz offers a pleasing experience too, if you want to save a bit of power, but battery life isn’t really a concern here, which we’ll talk about in a bit. Apps load quickly and multitasking is handled very well. Of course, the main draw of this phone is gaming, and this is hands-down one of the best devices — if not the best one — for that.
Tumblr media
The two Air Triggers have good vibration feedback and the sensitivity can be adjusted
We ran a mix of heavy games such as PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9 Legends, along with simpler ones including Rayman Adventures and Mario Kart, all of which ran flawlessly. Even on the 8GB RAM version of this phone, we were able to switch between any of these games quite effortlessly.
Now keep in mind that the back of the phone gets quite warm when gaming, especially a few spots near the side-mounted Type-C port which get very hot. We recommend playing with the bundled case, as you don’t feel the heat as much and it offers better grip. The heat could possibly be better controlled with the AeroCooler II accessory, but that will cost extra and we didn’t have one with us to test.
We didn’t feel the need to use X Mode most of the time, other than a couple of instances in PUBG when the framerate began to get mildly choppy. X Mode prevents throttling of the CPU and also doesn’t let the speed drop below 1.3GHz. Keep in mind that this will also drain the battery faster, so we’d suggest not using it unless you absolutely need to.
Game Genie also lets you enable an overlay in games to keep an eye on the framerate, system temperature, and CPU and GPU usage in real-time. Through Armoury Crate, you can set a customised profile for each game. For instance, Rayman Adventures supports 120Hz refresh rate, so you can have the display switch to it when playing the game and go back to a lower refresh rate for regular use.
Tumblr media
The Asus ROG Phone 2’s Armoury Crate app lets you tweak the settings for every game
Just like with the original ROG Phone, we found the AirTriggers to be immensely helpful in games such as PUBG Mobile. The vibration effect, when they are triggered, is instantaneous and you can now rest your fingers on them and simply apply pressure when you actually need to activate them. This reduces fatigue in your index fingers, since you don’t have to keep them hovering in mid-air. If you’re going to be doing this, then it’s best to increase the amount of pressure required to activate the triggers, to prevent accidental activation.
Other than gaming performance, the display and speakers are two other highlights of this phone. HDR videos look great — the brightness is automatically boosted when HDR content is detected, and it drops back to the level it was at before when you close the video. The speakers get really loud and sound quality is good. The stereo sound is evenly distributed across both channels, with decent bass and a good soundstage. When using Outdoor Mode, the sound quality is terrible as it simply cuts the bass and boosts the treble, making everything tinny and shrill.
Battery life is equally impressive, and not just because of the massive capacity. In our battery loop test, the 6000mAh battery lasted for around 11 hours and 48 minutes with the screen set to 120Hz, and 14hours and 13 minutes at 60Hz. These numbers might not look particularly impressive compared to those of other phones which have run for over 20 hours with smaller batteries, but the ROG Phone 2 exceeded our expectations in real-world usage.
Even with the screen running at 120Hz and a lot of camera, gaming, and social usage, we still managed to easily go past one full day on a single charge. When playing heavy 3D games non-stop for two hours, with X Mode on most of the time and the refresh rate set to 90Hz, the battery level dropped by around 27 percent, leaving us with plenty of juice left for another two full days of standby time.
Tumblr media
The stereo speakers on the Asus ROG Phone 2 get really loud and quality is good
The ROG Phone 2 supports multiple fast charging standards — Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0/3.0 and USB Power Delivery 3.0. With the bundled 18W charger, we were able to charge the battery up to 52 percent in an hour and it took about two hours to charge it completely. This might seem a little slower than the competition but keep in mind that this is also a much bigger battery than what most others offer in this price range. With the optional 30W charger (Rs. 1,999), the charging should be much quicker.
Asus ROG Phone 2 cameras
The rear sensors on the ROG Phone 2 are the same as those on the Asus 6Z (Review). This phone is missing the laser autofocus sensor, but everything else seems to be identical. The ROG Phone 2 also gets a 24-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, since it lacks the motorised rear camera of the 6Z. The main 48-megapixel camera uses the Sony IMX586 sensor, with an f/1.79 aperture and PDAF, but no optical stabilisation. The second camera uses a wide-angle lens with a 13-megapixel sensor.
The camera app is quite feature-rich, offering plenty of shooting modes such as Motion Tracking, Pro, and Night, among the usual others. A toggle within the viewfinder lets you switch between the regular and wide-angle lens. The latter can be used to shoot video, but you can’t switch between cameras while recording.

In daylight, the ROG Phone 2’s primary camera was quite capable and manged good details and colours. HDR images looked vivid and striking, with good exposure and white balance. The wide-angle camera captured slightly weaker details but HDR was handled well and landscapes looked good, with little to no barrel distortion. Close-ups looked good too, with sufficient details and good colours. The camera app lets you adjust the level of background blur in Portrait shots, but edge detection wasn’t always too accurate.
Low-light landscape shots captured using the Asus ROG Phone 2 were a bit grainy, but using Night mode helped. Details were still a little weak and the resulting images were oversharpened to bit too much.

The selfie camera captured fairly detailed selfies during the day, with good skin tones, but we noticed some minor artefacting in the background, and the edges of our face could have been sharper. The screen flash is quite effective in low light, providing good illumination. Portrait mode with the front camera is present but the final output looks a little artificial.
Tumblr media

The quality of video shot in daylight was also quite impressive. Electronic stabilisation worked very well, even at 4K resolution, and details and colours were represented well. Selfie videos were also stabilised, and the quality was equally good. The phone faltered a bit in low light, as video was a little grainy and the electronic stabilisation caused mild distortion when we moved about.
Verdict
The Asus ROG Phone 2 is a solid piece of hardware and is definitely the most polished and impressive gaming phone we’ve seen so far. It lacks some features such as waterproofing and wireless charging, but at Rs. 37,999, those things aren’t big deal breakers. The higher-end version feels too expensive at nearly Rs. 60,000 even with the massive bump in storage and the bundled accessories. A price of around Rs. 50,000 would have been more accessible.
The OnePlus 7T (Review) is one of the main competitors for the base variant of the ROG Phone 2. It’s a solid offering running Android 10, and it has a good set of cameras as well as a fast 90Hz display. If you’re not a fan of the weight of the ROG Phone 2, the OnePlus 7T would be a good alternative.
However, if you’re looking for a beast of a phone, then the Asus ROG Phone 2 is one of the best out there and is priced starting at under Rs. 40,000. Even if you aren’t a gamer, the vivid display and stereo speakers make this an excellent multimedia device, if you can put up with the bulk.

What is best hovercart?
Disregarding the manner in which that I've never been one for your reliably motorsports, for instance, vehicles and motorbikes, I have for a very long time been tingling to assess Segway driving, along these lines with my birthday speedy moving ever closer associates asking what I was doing to watch, I prepared the likelihood of a Segway rally understanding.
Tumblr media
I think the inspiration driving why I have for a very long time been tingling to have a go at Segway driving is an immediate aftereffect of seeing people in motion pictures and TV shows just smoothly riding along on one... I can basically picture a scene in my psyche - two people walking around an amusement focus and there's few Segway drivers shaking along far out looking all cool...
Likewise, you'll simply watch this on American shows and motion pictures too, and why's that? Well tragically it's unlawful to ride a Segway on UK open lanes and ways! So aside from in the event that you have several thousands pounds and a colossal piece of private land to really have a go at zooming about, there's only a solitary technique to bounce on one of these noteworthy eco pleasant vehicles - and that is through Segway gift foundation days!
The Segway for sale Experience
Tumblr media
Seven of us turned up for the Segway rally and it was invigorating the primary event when you got onto the vehicle. For a start, it was significantly studier than I presumed it would be, so I didn't feel startled about tumbling off successfully. We were also kitted out in tops, shin pads and elbow pads should we fall.
We were given full rules on the most ideal approach to use the controls, and despite the way that it was an unusual tendency in any case, it wasn't unnecessarily long until it started to grab continuously normal standing right and moving.
The controls are essential; it's basically the truth you need to get over how unusual everything feels! The Segway UK uses exceptional development, which means it can balance with the help of twofold PCs that run decency programming, two tilt sensors and five gyroscopic sensors, in this way the machine can be driven and guided by distinguishing the moving body weight of the driver - slim forward to go progresses, backward to pivot and side-to-side to coordinate. The speed is in like manner compelled by the alteration in a basic position point.
what is hovercart?
In the wake of having a pinch of preparing and endeavoring to make the machine coast along rather than judder, it was a little while later time to get forceful and go through the accompanying 30 minutes dashing my colleagues along the harsh territory course that was masterminded in a sort of woods setting.
Readied, set, GO!
Drifting along and getting to holds with the various obstructions, bulges and thumps on the pathway, similarly as endeavoring to perfect the corners without preventing unreasonably, made for a truly magnificent rally understanding!
In spite of the way that any sensible individual would concur that a Segway rally most likely won't be as speedy or mentioning as, state karting for example, it's definitely exceptional fun and that thing can get some veritable rates, especially when you go to your last couple of laps and have used to the controls.
Abstract
Shockingly, I didn't begin things out, yet I arrived in a cognizant third, and as I keep telling my friends, next time I'll win!
There are piles of various techniques for having a Segway experience, anyway the one that I would love to give a shot next is a Segway visit around a UK visitor interest, and after that a city visit in some spot like Florence or Paris! Maybe I'll tell people next time they are looking for present contemplations for my birthday.

Watch Bandai Namco’s Mario Kart Arcade GP in virtual reality is simple: drive around tracks from the game series and feel every bump, green shell and ‘Waaaaaaaugh!’ in immersive VR and a rumble seat. The game started a worldwide tour a couple years ago in Japan, and its latest stop is in sunny Southern California. I pulled in to an industrial park in Irvine, California at a branch of K1 Speed go karting. Enter, go past the IRL track, and you’ll find an arcade where space has been cleared for a trio of VR game installations. That’s where I got a taste of Mario Kart VR. Up to four can jump into a single race, and each station is a different character (Mario, Luigi, Peach, etc). Players sit in a racing chair just like any racing game, don an HTC Vive headset and headphones, and slip each hand through a rubber wristband with a Vive Tracker sensor on top. And then, without further ado, the race is on. Zooming around the Mushroom Kingdom You’ll have a few seconds to take in the Mushroom Kingdo.. video

Everything we Know about the Nintendo Switch!
New Post has been published on http://ges-sa.com/everything-we-know-about-the-nintendo-switch/
Everything we Know about the Nintendo Switch!
[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Last week we saw the Official price announcement for Nintendo’s Switch console. Personally, I love it! The release date for the Nintendo Switch is the 3rd of March 2017!! I love the design choice they made with the Joy-Con controllers, gives you a slight retro Famicom feel to the remotes. The fact that you can also carry the console with you and continue playing, it might be a bit of a bummer in regards to battery life(range from 2-6hours depending on what game you going to play) but it would be something you can live with. In the states, the Nintendo switch will be going for $299(about R4100+- excluding any import costs/customs), we not too sure yet what our price would be here in SA or any other Europian country. The Nintendo Switch is rumoured to be using the same chipset as the Nvidia Shield series of devices(with a slightly slower clock speed), we should be able to see closer to the time what chipset and at what clock speed it actually runs. But enough blabbering from me here is the official press release from Nintendo and some of the games we can expect on the Nintendo Switch:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]13th January, 2016 – Nintendo announced today that the new Nintendo Switch console will launch worldwide* on Friday 3rd March.
The package will include the main console, Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R) controllers, a Joy-Con grip (to which two Joy-Con are attached and used as one controller), a set of Joy-Con wrist straps, a Nintendo Switch dock (which holds the main console and connects it to a TV), a HDMI cable and an AC adapter. Two stylish versions of the console will be released: a version with a set of grey Joy-Con, and a version with one neon blue and one neon red Joy-Con. “Nintendo Switch is a brand-new kind of home gaming system that offers a wide variety of play modes,” said Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima. “We will introduce the world to new experiences made possible by the unique characteristics of the Nintendo Switch hardware and the Joy-Con.”
Nintendo Switch is a breakthrough home video game console. It not only connects to a TV at home, but it also instantly transforms into an on-the-go handheld using its 6.2-inch screen. For the first time, players can enjoy a full home-console experience anytime, anywhere. The screen includes capacitive multi-touch capabilities for compatible games. Battery life can last for more than six hours, but will vary depending on the software and usage conditions.. For example, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be played for roughly three hours on a single charge. While away from home, Nintendo Switch can be charged by plugging the AC adapter into the console’s USB Type-C connector.
The versatile Joy-Con offer multiple surprising new ways for players to have fun. Two Joy-Con can be used independently in each hand, or together as one game controller when attached to the Joy-Con grip. They can also attach to the main console for use in handheld mode, or be shared with friends to enjoy two-player action in supported games. Each Joy-Con has a full set of buttons and can act as a standalone controller, and each includes an accelerometer and gyroscope motion sensor, making independent left and right motion control possible. Nintendo Switch also contains a number of built-in features that make it more interactive. The left Joy-Con has a Capture Button that players can press to take instant screenshots of gameplay to share with friends on social media. The right Joy-Con includes an NFC touchpoint for interaction with amiibo figures, as well as an IR Motion Camera that can detect the distance, shape and motion of nearby objects in specially designed games. For example, it can tell how far away a player’s hand is, and even if the hand is forming a rock, paper or scissors shape. Both Joy-Con include advanced HD rumble, which can provide compatible games with subtle vibrations that are much more realistic than before. The effect is so detailed that a player could, for example, feel the vibration of individual ice cubes colliding inside a glass when shaking a Joy-Con. With HD rumble you can experience a level of realism not possible through sights and sounds alone. Nintendo Switch makes it easy for players to stay connected. Up to 8 consoles can be connected for local wireless play. The player can place the console upright anywhere by using the built-in stand, then easily share Joy-Con for multiplayer fun away from the TV. The console will support online Wi-Fi multiplayer gaming. Nintendo also unveiled a new online subscription service that will begin with a free trial at launch. The service includes a smart-device application available in summer 2017 that will let users invite friends to play online, set play appointments, and chat with one another as the play compatible games. The fully featured paid service will be available in autumn.
Nintendo Switch will be supported by world-class third-party publishers including Activision Publishing Inc., Electronic Arts, Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and major Japanese publishers. Some publishers, such as Bethesda Softworks, are joining Nintendo for the first time. Players can look forward to major franchises on Nintendo Switch such as EA Sports FIFA, The Elder Scrolls, NBA 2K, Minecraft and more. Nintendo Switch software will not be region locked. The unique capabilities of the console and Joy-Con have combined with innovations from past systems to create Nintendo’s most flexible, feature-packed video game console ever. This is demonstrated by the wide variety of unique games that were announced for launch day, the summer, and into the 2017 holiday season, from both Nintendo and its third-party partners. From the engrossing open-air experience of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to the party fun of 1-2-Switch, Nintendo Switch offers something for everyone.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild:[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw47_q9wbBE”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]1-2-Switch:[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7p47TOmicQ”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ARMS: This actually looks like a really fun game to play![/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7s3UB_8dFM”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Mario Kart 8 Deluxe:[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKlRN2YpxRE”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Splatoon 2:[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qN4w5D2tzME”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Super Mario Odyssey:[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kcdRBHM7kM”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]These are just some of the Nintendo First Party games that are coming out! Oh, wait I forgot they also bringing Bommer-Man back!! Some of the Third Party games are : Has-Been Heroes, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Rayman Legends Definitive Edition, Just Dance, Sonic Mania, Shin Megami Tensei.
These are just the beginning of the titles that is coming to the Nintendo Switch, we can expect way more to be announced in the near future(like at E3, PAX, GDC..maybe).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text] [/vc_column_text][/vc_column]
