Accepting His Plans
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK
=========================
+ Ecclesiastes 12:8 Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Everything is meaningless!”
=========================
VERSE OF THE DAY
========================
+‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7‬‭:8‬ ‭Now then, tell my servant, David, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel.“
‭‭=========================
SUBJECT: Accepting His Plans
=========================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM BLESSED
I AM KIND
I AM COMPASSIONATE
I AM LOVED
********************************
THOUGHTS:
=======================
The Lord looks past our faults; when we confess our sins and turn away, we are showing God that we need him more than anything; a lot of people feel that God stays mad with us when we sin, but he doesn’t look at David in this text, David had done a couple of things wrong in his life, and God still gave him a blessing such as this. He said, that I took you from the pasture and appointed you over my people.
God will open doors no man can shut; he will bring opportunities that no one can describe; a lot of times, we are looking for blessings in one way, and he gives them to us in a whole new way. We have to understand that God has his plans; we can think we know what he wants us to do and how he want it done, but sometimes we have to go through the journey, and that is what David did; he went through it with every step with God !!
Verse 9: I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now, I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men on earth. “
When God gives us a promise, we might forget or dont believe whatever the case may be, but God promises us he will never leave us or forsake us. But he told David right here, I won’t leave you. God even tells us that he’ll cut off our enemies, but in order for these two things to happen, we must be diligent and faithful to him; a lot of us we aren’t, and we expect him to keep up his side of the deal, but we refuse to dwell in him ,but he gave David so much, he let him be known to so many, and so many feared him, they knew of him by his mannerism by his reputation.
• 1 Samuel 18:7 As they danced, they sang: “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.”
•1 Samuel 18:5 Whatever mission Saul sent him on, David was so successful that Saul gave him a high rank in the army. This pleased all the troops, and Saul’s officers as well.”
Verse 15: But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you. 16 Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.’”
God told David, and this is something we can stand on with God; he won’t take his love away from us, he will never refuse us when we come back to him, he will never ignore our cry, but it is up to us to turn to him to yield to him God can give us everything we ever wanted and needed, but it’s up to us to stand near him, God promised David that his house would endure forever and that it will be established, when God place his favor and love on us, he will forever give us anything within his will for our lives,
Verse 20–21: What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, Sovereign Lord. 21 For the sake of your word and according to your will, you have done this great thing and made it known to your servant.
David shows another example of how to deal with disappointment, and that by allowing God to have his way, David could’ve been angry he wasn’t going to be the one to build the house; he didn’t take on pride, he didn’t let that overshadow what God has spoke, when God says no, we say I take it into my own hands but David didn’t he accept whatever God had plans for him, how many of us look at the bigger picture and say well I dont have this but at least I have that how many of us look at what God says unto us, in that way very few of us do.
***Today, do not allow what someone else says or does to affect you and your view of God’s plans for your life. God sometimes will say no, and that no is to prevent you from going through more heartache, and when he says yes, that’s when God is trying to place you on the path he wants for you, no that yes might not be the yes you want but it’s a yes God had planned for your life. Our biggest battles aren’t the ones we fight with others. Sometimes, it’s the battles we fight with ourselves because we want to have all the control instead of rendering it all to God.

PRAYER
========================
Heavenly Father, we thank you for another lesson today. We ask you to help us to apply it to our lives! Every day is such a blessing, and we give you everything. We ask you today to help us stay focused on you and accept the plans you have for us. Father, whatever you say no to, we accept. We ask you to continue to work with us even in our foolish ways. Please help us accept your will and plans for us, whatever they may be. Lord, we ask you to change our character daily; we want to be a living sacrifice for you in Jesus' name, Amen.

Code of Confidence - Part 4 | Overcoming Doubt, Fear, & Indecision Over the past weeks, we’ve explored what it takes to build true confidence—faith, action, rewiring our thoughts, and stepping boldly into the unknown. But there’s one crucial piece we must confront: failure. The real reason many never step forward isn’t lack of ability—it’s fear of failure or past wounds that still hold them back. But here’s the truth— it’s part of this amazing process of becoming who God made us to be! Join us for the final session of The Code of Confidence at Shalom Macon as we redeem our past and turn failure into fuel for the future. Hi Everyone and Welcome to Shalom Macon Channel. Today’s video dives into how Moses moved from self-doubt to confidence. Have you ever felt like you weren’t good enough? Please visit our website to get more information: https://ift.tt/uYhdinR Moses did too. But he learned that believing in yourself is just as important as trusting God. Together, we’ll see how faith and confidence can help us face challenges and take bold steps—no matter how scary life gets. Pentan Cultural Overview: The Khuruldan
A Khuruldan is a gathering of tribes and monastic communities, always a time of festivities and ritual importance. There are two different reasons why a Khuruldan may be held, and it differs from other festivals in important ways. While many tribes may attend a festival, they are usually held by a specific tribe, or sometimes by a monastery or allied cults within a few nearby tribes. A Khuruldan may be called by a single tribe, but if the call is answered, the festivals and rituals belong to all the tribes that attend. They are not called casually, as the feasting and sacrifices are expensive, and the political maneuverings that always accompany them generally have long-lasting consequences.
The more common form of Khuruldan is held to form or maintain alliances. The khans and elders of the tribes gather together for days on end, debating their goals, disputes, and ability to aid each other. Many alliances end up forming around a charismatic khan with a desire to leave their mark on history or gain wealth and glory by conquest and raiding. Several times, Pent has even been united by tribal alliances that brought together most if not all of the major Pentan tribes. However, these alliances must be maintained by regular Khuruldans, in which the strength and wealth of the alliance is displayed, internal disputes are handled, and the direction of the alliance's next few years is decided. There is not a set structure for alliances, but the most common kind have one tribe's khan as the leader, the khan of khans, with the other khans serving as advisors and generals for the alliance as a whole.
Alliance Khuruldans are typically festive and high energy, especially when things are going well. While they are serious political events, they are accompanied by great feasting, tournaments, competitions, and celebrations of the gods. The tribes within the alliance must show off their wealth and power to each other, frequently giving large gifts of livestock and food to each other or sponsoring tournament prizes to show that the alliance is bringing tangible results.
The other, often less festive Khuruldan is held to deal with emergencies that threaten multiple tribes at once. Famines, plagues, particularly awful winters, large-scale enemies, or other such problems cannot be solved by a single tribe. Therefore, a Khuruldan will be organized to try and find a solution. These Khuruldans typically involve fewer feasts and more sacrifices to the gods for aid and advice. Tournaments, however, are still a central feature, often to select potential champions to take part in the central feature of most emergency Khuruldans: the Hero Contest.
It is widely recognized by the Pentans that disasters are often best solved by wielding the power of the gods, by the coming together of the people as the First Herd did and using the magic of the herd to empower a solution. However, it is also recognized that often the best way to focus such magic is a Hero, a single person who has passed into the Godplane and received the blessings of the gods, then returned with them. If multiple tribes unite behind a single Hero, they will have far better chances to find a solution and far more magic to send them into the Godplane.
Every tribe desires to be the one that provides the chosen Hero, and so an emergency Khuruldan usually ends up with no consensus as to which candidate should be selected. Because everyone's support is needed, the tradition of the Hero Contest exists. Each tribe selects a number of candidates - usually just one, but sometimes tribes may put forth multiple candidates for the Contest. The candidates are then given a goal which will demonstrate their fitness for dealing with the disaster at hand. This may be martial, such as winning a mock battle or fighting tournament, or a demonstration of skill, such as hunting a great beast or producing a particularly complex tapestry. The specifics of each Hero Contest are negotiated as part of the Khuruldan, but there must be clear criteria for a winner.
The winner's tribe takes the lead in solving whatever emergency threatens the area, which may be as small as the territory covered by a handful of tribes or as large as all of Pent. The winning candidate will be the focus of the rituals to elevate them into the Godplane for a HeroQuest, and all tribes that take part must provide aid for the ritual. A tribe may withdraw from the Khuruldan before the Contest if they wish to provide nothing, but doing so is generally seen as both cowardly and shameful.
Success at solving the disaster brings great glory and magical power to the Hero's tribe, as well as great strength to the Hero themself. They often go on to become a leading force in Pentan politics, usually ending up as the khan of their tribe and often the leader of a strong alliance of tribes, though such alliances rarely last long beyond the lifespan of the Hero themself.
The Hero Contest tradition has proven to be one of the strongest magical traditions of Pent. The power behind it is one of the reasons Pent has remained relatively stable throughout the three Ages since the Dawn. While outsiders are permitted to attend Khuruldans and even to try and earn a place as candidates in the Hero Contest, they are not permitted to learn the deeper secrets of the rituals involved, which require a powerful priest of Yu-Kargzant. Technically speaking, a monastery, village or outsider must have a tribe's support to join the Hero Contests, however, as only a tribe may enter candidates. It is very rare but not unheard of for the Hero to not belong to the tribe that supported their candidacy, or even any tribe at all, but such Heroes are almost always either adopted into the tribe that supported them or form a new tribe immediately after. Monks who become Heroes are generally the exception, but their monastery always ends up extremely powerful in Pentan politics during their lifetime.
Monastic support for the Hero Contest rituals is extremely valuable, and each monastery is held to provide unique secrets of HeroQuesting that are only called on to aid the Hero Contests they support - though what those secrets are is hard to say. Some may know secret stories of the gods, or may know divine truths that allow the Hero to call on unexpected aid in the Godplane, while others may have rare and forgotten magic that can empower Heroes in unexpected ways.
