My muses and how they’d act if they ever get sick because I’m bored?, This will probably all be pretty basic however lol.

::Queen Marika::-> I don’t think she gets sick all that often, I guess that’s because she’s a god so yeah- but when she does get sick i feel like it hits her like a falling tree to be honest, like 10 to 100 real quick lol. I can see her acting more clingy to certain individuals in all honesty, not to an ‘uncomfortable’ extent but to an uncharacteristic extent.

::Spirit-Tuner Marika::-> Thai version of Marika however, she’ll get sick much more often honestly, it’s not going to hit her like a falling tree just yet however- but I can see this younger version of her probably getting sick like every other, if not every summer/spring. She’d would probably be as clingy as the older/future version of herself in all honesty.

::Radagon::-> I think he would probably get sick during the colder months of the year, but only at the beginning of the colder months however- probably just within the first few weeks or so. I can see him trying to keep up with his work by himself if possible, not wanting to get any other people sick.

::Messmer::-> he probably is a lot like his mother because I just can’t see him getting sick all that often, probably just once in a blue moon to be honest, however whenever he does get sick in a rare case he does- he needs to be forced to take care of himself by his soldiers in my opinion lol.

::Godwyn the golden::-> Godwyn, despite being one of the few un-cursed children of Marika he probably is one of the few ones that gets the most sick in all honesty, he’ll try not to really let it affect him but he also knows when he needs to take a rest so yeah, pretty normal in all honesty.

::Godwyn the prince of death::-> unlike his living version of himself he just doesn’t get sick anymore, he physically can’t at this point in time.

::Miquella::-> because I muse his ascended vision he is much like his mother, he can’t  necessarily get sick unless it’s something really bad-? But whenever he does/if he does get sick he’ll try his best to take care of it as soon as he can, mainly because before he  ascended he never wanted to get his twin sister any more sick then she already was/is.

::Malenia blade of Miquella::-> because Malenia is inflicted with Scarlet-Rot whenever she gets sick she really feels it and feels it hard, whenever she’s sick she feels like she’s dying more then she already does. She’s really just out of commission whenever she’s ill/sick more so then she already- that’s about it to be honest.

::Malenia Goddess is rot::-> this version of Malenia can’t necessarily get sick anymore actually, mainly because of the fact that she’s now fully is the living vessel of/for the outer goddess of rot at this point in time.

 ::Saint Trina::-> Trina doesn’t get sick all that often, she probably does a bit more then what Miquella does but still, she has a pretty good immune system in my own opinion, however whenever she does get sick she just sleeps, sleeps more then she probably already does actually, that or she’ll make herself something to drink that she’ll think would make her feel better.

::Fia::-> She has an amazing immune system, she hasn’t been sick since she was an actual child, sooo yeah. She’ll probably try to help others who get sick however.

::Roderika::-> Unlike Fia, this woman gets sick every other month most likely, it’s nothing to bad but it is annoying for obvious reasons, she’ll try to just rest it away and do what she can to make it leave sooner rather then later.

::Romina::-> Romina, much like Malenia in her rot goddess form just doesn’t get sick- or at the very least not that often anymore, it was probably many, many years ago by now since she was actually sick at this point. However when she was last sick she kinda half-ass taking care of herself.

The Prince of Death making his way into Leyendell (and other ramblings).

Godwyn's the type of guy who aftering being resurrected he would test the boundaries of what he can do in Leyendell. Can he walk the streets without getting harassed by Leyendell guards? Can he buy from the markets without others running from him or calling the authorities? If he runs a charity for the poor and struggling, how long can he keep it running before the guards shut it down? If he starts a party and feeds the guards with drinks and food, how long can he keep it up until The Veiled King him or his cronies put a stop to it?

He would slowly make his presence more known to the leyendell public with these events. The parties, the charity, he and his followers walking among them so often they become just another group in Leyendell. Godwyn wouldn't preach to them right away, but every once in a while he would sprinkle words of encouragement and hope. All with his old charm and in the voice he used for his speeches all those years ago. Even if none of them believed him to be the real Godwyn, he would make them love him so much that they wouldn't care if he was or not.

Some of this would be a stunt to get Morgott's attention. I feel like due to Godwyn's case of "his soul should be dead but somehow is not", Morgott would ignore Godwyn's previous attempts to make contact with him. So visiting Leydendell and it's people is his 2nd option.

The main reason why he really wants to contact Morgott is mainly because he wants to warn him before he starts bringing forth the Age of Duskborn, which requires him to burn the Erdtree. Godwyn desperately wants to get back in contact with his brother and have a relationship with him. He doesn't want to have to end up fighting Morgott to get to the tree, but if he has too, then he will. But he'll do everything he can first to get Morgott docile enough to allow them to bring up this new age where Morgott can still live and be a part of it.

ER hc: Demigods in Love

If they had a big fat crush on you and fell in love with you, they wouldn't say it outright at first but there would be signs

Morgott:

He becomes more catty-chatty. He usually cloaks his feelings of extreme self loathing(leading him to believe he deserves nothing and distance himself from things that bring joy, fear of rejection etc) with a rain of sour quips and old age scoldings, a technique he would definitely utilize all the same(and fail horribly) to suppress new trifling emotions arising within him, feelings he dare not indulge in for his own sake and everyone else's.

But despite his harsh words and taunts, the fact is not missed on you, that he is there. He is there, and for all his talk of finding you so lowly, he bothers to address you and your 'meager flame'

"I see thee little tarnished," he will say "smould'ring with that wretched flame of ambition" he will repeat this often, but the emphasis on 'little' changes with time. It is those little things, those minute slip ups, that itches a part of your brain.

Malenia:

She becomes more stiff around you. She is already taciturn enough, but around you she becomes stiffer than every statue in haligtree combined. But in those rare moments when she does address you, her voice becomes more softer than usual. Sometimes you catch her head nodding towards you gently. Other times you find her standing guard outside your door, though she will refuse to admit it was nothing else but that. Keeping you safe is her love language.

She will also make sure to always have the most fresh med needles stuck in her before she ever steps foot into your vicinity. Anything to make sure you don't get even the slightest WHIFF of her rot...poor valkyrie. She really tries.

Mohg:

He becomes more...clingy. And by clingy I meant he stalks you (a mogh classic).

He isn't audaciously obvious with it, no he is never obvious with anything. But as I said, there are signs. Bushes and trees seem to rustle more than usual. Warm beverages left on your table with no owner in sight, roses blooming during the wrong seasons and WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT??? Somebody who is TOTALLY NOT MOHG just healed your student rune debts?? Ahh! Good heavens!!! Who could have done this??? Definitely not the rich demigod omen who lives 2 broken buildings away that seemingly always knows when you need a heat pad hmmmm

Despite all this though, it seems this amount of clinginess is inversely proportional to the lines of dialogue he will spare you i.e. the harder he falls for you, the more he stalks and the less he talks (tldr of another hc post, that welcome guest speech of his is totally scripted and he can’t function outside said script). His confidence leaves him when he sees someone he cannot risk losing. He also love bombs you, with all intentions meant. Anything material, you have it. Its almost like he can read your mind (he is in your bloodstream).

He functions on the mindset that nothing in this world is selfless, and that love can only be bought and not earned. He 'bought' the love of his sanguine nobles through promise of power...he straight up kidnaps his 'doctors', who now love him(they are all mad with bloodlust). The albinaurics are there (for miquella). He is truly convinced that he cannot be loved without reason, so he does all this extra crap to cook up said reasons. Local omen has yet to discover consent out of the shunning grounds. Maybe u can change him 👍or make him worse.

Godwyn:

He gives you golden privileges….Godwyn wouldn’t outright confess his love for you on first sight, but I imagine he would be the SECOND (Rykard being first) most forthright man in this sea of bashful tsundere personages. Aside from his flirtiness increasing by 10 folds, He will let you ride Fortisaxx. Must I even elaborate further? There are noble men in Leyndell who would sell their cock and balls for that opportunity, but he straight up goes “hey you wanna ride my dragon” wink. Fortisaxx is best wingman, drops hints to help his brother/friend/(lover?😏) out. Considering he has a whole lineage, and i really doubt the omen twins received any action in the lore, he is the most experienced when it comes to love, and he has learned the best way to deal with it is just be chill.

Bonus points if you catch him drunk, the comedy you would play witness to would be legendary.

Godrick:

He will let you touch him. …

Pre grafted Godrick:

would be a total tsundere straight up. He has 0 confidence in himself, and his old and wrinkly ass has only known rejection by that point to not have any qualms about confessing. Throw in an odd sense of aristocratic pride into the mix and you have got a noble who looks and acts like he is competing his way into a guillotine. He is quite rude, and if he is got a single talent up his sleeve, it is without a doubt his ability to drive anyone into a frenzy(no three fingers needed) with his snarky quips alone. He is physically not up there, but by words alone he could burn bridges (and he has). Perhaps he gets this talent from his great great great great great great great great great grand uncle who, rumors say, also rules over Leyndell! He is a small crooked paranoid little freekle frackle that clings onto what we would call Ancien régime mindset and lifestyle

Given this context, the first sign that something is awry is that he lets you be near his viscinty. He is still snarky, with all the thou-s and thee-s sprinkled in. But he lets you near him. Hmm that’s odd. You thought Ettiquette 6600038 stated no non royal was allowed to walk beside him-OH and he is staring right into your soul. Thats also weird. You thought he hated the commonfolk? Did he just hold your hand? Granted he was terrified by the lightening, but still…hm… and he just tried cooking for the first time?? Ended terribly he burnt the kitchen down. He did all that for himself he says…you hear a “yea right” from a very brave soldier of godrick, never to be seen again. He gives you a suspiciously customized hankerchief, embroidery of (insert your fav flower here) when you catch a cold. Never asks for it back.

Post grafted Godrick is mostly the same, but more crazy with a 10% increase in confidence. For one, its been 24 hours and he has yet to tear you apart from limb to limb which is something. “Unfit for grafting” he says. yea right.

He also shows you his gore Godfrey goon shrine, your quality of life depends on the tone of your laugh. He lets you bathe him (wow you touched him…or some dude’s entire torso which he stole.) and Gostoc doesn’t fuck with you like he does with others. Good. Good. He trusts you enough to complain abt some tantalizing trespasser omen loitering infront of his castle named ‘Margit’. Which sounds awful lot like Morgott. He hasn’t clicked the dots and he most likely never will.

Radahn:

He lets you ride Leonard.

Radahn is the type of guy who is beyond friendly with anyone, so when he does something which would so obviously be labelled affectionate coming from others, it is generally dismissed as an act of friendship. He remembers your birthday and holds a surprise party which is VERY COOL, but he also hosts birthday parties for everyone else….which is also cool… He suffers through the friendzone for a while with grace.

But when he offers you a ride on his dear Leonard, that darling steed of his that he treats like his heir apparent? Yup, that very horse, is when the gears in your mind unclog. His highness Prince Leonard has always been a boundary none dare cross, but here he is granting you a safe passage to jump right through. He lifts you up with ease, and places you on the saddle. And when you smile, he smiles even wider. Signs eventually bubble up to the surface. He laughs more often around you, completely at ease. When drunk he regails you with tales of bygone heroes and his own aspirations to be one. Reply with “but you already are one” and you will catch him lag for 5 seconds.

He keeps you close by during expeditions, and even during social gatherings. He uses his gravity magic to help you/your siblings indulge in some 0 gravity fun. And during less crowded evenings, he arranges fun getaways with friends, except its just you two this time...and here on out. Oddly enough though, the closer he gets to you the more you find yourself isolated at your job etc. You start finding your posts more empty. Which is odd since you did remember there were 2 other people assigned at this pla- AND its general Radahn with 2 roasted exalted flesh in hand! Wonderful.

One can only speculate how he uses his powers as head general...

Bonus point if you like cats. He will bring his cats for a wash to your house (another excuse to see you)

Ranni:

She spills tea.

This one is easy since we have in game canon content as reference. At first she is secretive. She introduces herself as "renna", and maintains a professional distance. But as time passes and she comes to warm up to you, that distance is chipped away by her own doing. She confesses to her many well hidden secrets, dark secrets like how she played a hand in the night of black knives or her more lesser secrets like stealing her mom's books, giving young Radahn a bobcut in his sleep, mischiefs with Rykard etc. Her trust in you, that you will keep her word between you two, is the sign. Anytime the topic steers towards anything remotely romantic though, she transforms into a bashful tsundere

"Noooo don't open that box from that chamber in this location you don't want to marry me noooo" (gives you the key to that box). Also "take not the ring from this place, the solitude beyond the night is better mine alone." Is code word for "please marry me I am very lonely".

Rykard:

Yea. The most forthright admirer award goes to! PRAETOR RYKARD! Rykard seems like the type of guy who has this very thick professional exterior, that betrays his true perverse nature. You sit down with him and think

Yes he is rough around the edges, but he dresses nice, he speaks well, he looks lordly enough albeit dark circles, he is good with machines (he doesn’t tell you that he names them 'abductor virgins' 💀) hmm surely he isn't some perverted freak with dungeons and torture rooms in his house"

and then he offers you a tour of his house and peels off his skin like a snake fresh out of hibernation and every fibre of your being tells you to run as fast as u can. Think Tywin Lannister but it's obvious somebody's been slipping drops of mercury into his coffee. His stern facade hides a lecherous mind

It would go something like this. He is wearing his tywin lannister inspired drip, while riding his very high horse. He bothers to look down from his very high horse at which point he sees you. Double take. He approaches you with the confidence of an absolute slut, but its coated with enough regal varnish to make them barely acceptable in public. Something like "Good evening Fair lady/good sir, I see thou art unchaperoned this low in the evening. May we escort you somewhere safe?". You don't really understand what he is getting at first, until he offers to give you a tour of his beautiful rich and lavish manor. And like, he isn't lying. It's beautiful. It's rich. It's lavish. On top of a fucking volcano? It’s always the fucked up bitches with tastes like look at Mohg?! 10/10 (I had rank him second to Mohg in dripmaxxing). But the deeper you venture into his abode, the crazier the tour becomes. And then you watch this man peel his layers of civility strata by strata, with each new chamber easing him into his true self until ultimately what is left is a crazed man with a crazed look pointing at a literal dungeon with very suggestive toys. Tanith is there.

The pros though is that he is a good lover, and father. Stressing on Father, because you are gonna make him one. (Magic world if you are a male reader. Anything is possible)

Godfrey:

He lets you dress his scars.

He recognizes that familiar feeling of love, and his age and experience has taught him that fighting it will be more painful, so he just lets it be instead. Despite his bloodlust and barbarism, which resurfaces here and there, he is surprisingly courteous in casual settings. Being married to a goddess you find out, is a lonely existence. Is there any love between the two? Questions that will storm your mind as you do good on the honor of dressing his wounds. You can feel the eyes of his golden beast watching over you. Such an act had intimate undertones back in his homeland. Do you understand?

Miquella:

He doesn't 'slip' up any 'signs' no he LITERALLY stabs you with it(out of desperation), but you are still oblivious because he looks like your 8 yrs old baby cousin with a bug addiction(Those wings are real y/n)!He tries to appear his real age by snatching every opportunity provided to show the vastness of his mind and wisdom, but ends up giving young Sheldon vibes. He tells you straight to your face that he loves you like "no other", but he just gets swaddled in your lap like a baby. Not enjoying this experience.

Messmer: Don't know anything about him to write 3 paras (for obv) but the vibes he is giving right now is that he is less pookie bear than imagined, and impaling isn't just a hobby but his way of life. Going off of the trailer, I had say if he had a crush on you, he would be as straight forward as Godwyn, but with a more sinister bent. He would let you play with his snakes...maybe burn you deep to leave his mark...?

funny enough this supports my hc that Messmer aspired to be like Godfrey- someone who contain their violence & refined it to a measured blade, while Godwyn did everything to escape his dad’s shadow, absorbing foreign powers via diplomacy-ironically mirroring Radagon (don’t even get me start on how Prince of Death staff scales with both INT and FTH, just like Radagon’s spells). All for Marika’s sake, but different methods.

You know what, nonnie, I read a comment on a YouTube video about a theory that the Erdtree is in something of a feedback loop because while it's trying to bring Godwyn back, it's actually replicating his body, leading to the... plethora of Godwyns you see around the Lands Between.

As an aside, there's also this tidbit where, if you confront Fia at the Deeproot Depths, the implication is that Godwyn is protecting her by attacking you when you go to attack her.

I can see that manifesting throughout the Lands, too, where it's both a feedback loop and Godwyn's (or rather, his body's) attempt to contact his lost consort.

I remember writing once in an ask, imagine actually seeing Godwyn's body in the Deeproot Depths for the first time, and until you laid eyes on his corpse, it's eerily silent. Now imagine hearing this hollowed... rattle. You look up and you realize that he's... staring at you. You thought it was some illusion (or perhaps you were too tired and paranoid) until you moved just to test that thought and realized that nope, it's the real deal. Godwyn is staring at you. And will KEEP staring and following you so long as the Erdtree continues to replicate his body.

godwyn using the undead to find his love once more is a beautiful idea. imagine...

simply wandering the wilds. the Lands Between have fallen so viciously, and nothing is safe. there is a strange hunter after you, D, for reasons you can't quite understand. where are the demigods that loved you so dear? where is godwyn? that golden sun? he was one of the few demigods that was not so twisted, so cruel. where is he? did he not swear to protect you, the last thing that was good and kind in the Lands Between, not torn by politics and divine loyalties?

but he was gone.

instead, you find strange hints. Creatures that go scuttling after you. Strange little crabs that would ordinarily bat around foolish Tarnished, but instead trail behind every step you make, with a half-familiar face upon their backs. when the strange hunter finds you, undead rip themselves from the earth and pry at his armour until he's overwhelmed. then, they regard you so gently. one reaches for your hair, to tuck it behind your ear. the other checks your arm for injury.

you are beloved by death, and it's not for some time that you find out why.

fia finds you. she revels in you. you may not be guided by grace, but she drags you to the Roundtable Hold, practically worshipping you. you, death's lover, what she so desperately has been trying to find. though she'd be honoured to bear Godwyn's Death-Mending rune, she knows he'd be so much gladder to have his beloved bear it. so she explains, the murder, the taint Ranni left.

and so, it becomes up to you. godwyn swears the rune will not kill you, not like it would any lesser Tarnished. you would be his lover as the Mist consumes, until the stars themselves burn out. what a lovely choice to make.

Oh man! A childhood HC for the Omen Twins! Err. i have many! I will share several! (putting it under a read more because it got long)

One, I think the twins weren't imprisoned at birth. They were the Demigod equivalent of 7-8 years old or so. (I do not feel as though the Shunning Grounds existed until around their birth). I also do not believe Godwyn or Godfrey had anything to do with them after they were imprisoned. Godfrey was banished around the same time, and I'm a rare younger brother Godwyn truther. Godwyn was a baby and never told about his brothers.

Two, it's no secret that I think Mohg was the more ostracized and neglected of the twins before their shunning. Mohg was just too inhuman in appearance, and he was very aware of how differently he was treated from everyone else- especially Morgott.

Three, I think Mohg was frailer and smaller than Morgott for much of their childhood. Morgott felt like he was responsible for Mohg's life. He fed and protected his small brother for years until the dynamic flipped in their early teens. When suddenly it was apparent Mohg was stronger and willful and big.

But! For a happier HC! Morgott taught himself to whittle/craft to make himself and Mohg toys and tools. It was a hobby he pursued into adulthood and was a precursor to him being able to create the conjured weapons. Mohg was very charismatic and sociable, and knew how to make friends in the SGs. He also often brought 'pets' back to the den much to Morgott's frustration.

Hobby head canons for the twins!

Oh my Morgott ones are very predictable haha. He’s an artist in denial. I think his unique ability to make weapon constructs is the way his creativity manifests. Like, I believe he had to 'mold' those weapons with magic to use them. He pictures things in 3D very well- he could be a sculptor if he wanted. Instead, he largely whittles and does carpentry. He's very pragmatic about his talents. Me makes toys for the kids and furniture for the palace. It's all beautiful too. Morgott also gardens (to no ones surprise). Now, for my more unconventional Morgott hobby: He is a birdwatcher. He is the man hip-deep in the swamp at predawn just to see the rarest bittern in Liurnia.

Mohg is a bit harder for me! I genuinely think self-care and grooming are activities that occupy much of his time. The feathers need preened, the horns need oiled. The teeth need brushed. He's enormous and it takes up a lot of his time. When he has assistance from the Dynasty or his family, he embroiders and sews. I think he made much of his own wardrobe. He will work on textiles until his arthritis acts up.

I think Mohg generally likes the leisure activities of nobility. He likes hunting (though that might look quite different to him in practice), he likes banquets and balls. He likes musical performances (attending, he's not much of a player). He just likes participating in the luxuries he SHOULD have enjoyed all his life. He is a self-made Lord and he acts like it. Lastly, I think the Shattering War was a hobby to Mohg all its own. I see him as an 'in the shadows saboteur' kind of player during the war. He loved it a lot.

(not sure if asking DS characters counts since like 80% of info about them has to be manually hallucinated by the fan themselves, but I can if that's okay with you!)

Yep, I'm still doing character ask meme, Messmer simply was the only ask for me by now lol Also DS characters are fine too, of course they would be like 95% headcanon based, but that's why we love DS, isn't it?

But anyway, Morgott. My absolutely favourite of favourites of all ER characters...

First of all, Morgott is such a beautifully contradictory character. He's a demigod shardbearer and a cursed being, a proud monarch and a monster in his own eyes, a defender of all that is holy and a warlock shrouded in illusions. And all these things are actually logical and completely understandable given his story. Because, above everything else, Morgott is a broken creature, not as a result of his own deeds or guilts, but because of the things beyond his control, some ancient sins and crimes he's not aware of, some old vengeance that existed even before he was born. And this break, this pain, is a spiral, you know? Morgott hates his nature because he was convinced he's a monster, he supports the system that oppresses him because he believes that he's oppressed rightfully and this system is the best remaining option for the world as a whole, even if he and people like him have to suffer for it, and in doing so he causes even more harm, more oppression and misery for himself and everyone around. I love how he's a loyal, determined, faithful person, and this is exactly what makes him a villain in the story. He's an extremely tragic character, but completely consistent in his tragedy, his brokenness, and I have a deep weakness for broken things.

least favorite thing about them

I don't think there's anything I don't like about him as a character, I mean, he's certainly not flawless, but his flaws are what make him so interesting in the first place. So I say that my least favourite thing is his bossfight. Don't get me wrong, Morgott is one of my favourite FromSoft bosses in general, but I have a feeling that they made his moveset (super-complex and interesting) first, then remembered he's a mandatory mid-game boss and panicked to balance him to this level by drastically reducing his damage and hp.

I could write Mohg or Godwyn here and it would be legit, but allow me to be more exotic this time and mention Malenia. They have many things in common, if you think about it: two cursed, yet somewhat noble beings, bitterly determined and endlessly loyal to their masters of choice. I can absolutely see how they can respect and understand each other, even if not sharing each other's cause. I also love the idea of a young, sick, not-yet-swordmaster Malenia and her Cool Big Brother Morgott, the only person around who takes her seriously.

Banished knight Oleg. Literally the mix of my favourite tropes of "liege and their a bit too loyal knight" and "my majestic, scheming wife and me, committing whatever crimes she wants me to commit today". Also Oleg dies before Morgott, so my inner angst enjoyer appreciates this as well.

Mohg! I just can't see them as a pairing, their sibling relationships is everything to me. I'm also not a fan of Tarnished/Morgott, mainly because most of such arts/fics imply some level of self-indulgence and this just doesn't work for me (though I've seen several very cool works with this pairing too).

random headcanon

Three for the price of one: Morgott's hobby is creating clockwork automatons (a more detailed post about this hc); his favourite half-sibling is Malenia and this is mutual; he also shares Mohg's sense of fashion, but refuses to admit it.

unpopular opinion

While most people hc Morgott to be the elder twin, in my hcs he's the younger one (and the youngest of Godfrey's sons). Ironically enough, this isn't an important headcanon for Morgott himself, but it's an essential part of my perception of Godwyn and (especially) Mohg.

Godwyn mindlessly fiddled with the sheets. He's read dozens of books about the shattering, written and spoken to several scholars about the date of the shattering, and how long its been since then. So far, almost none of them can agree on a single date. The day his mother shattered the ring is still heavily debated.

"To this day I know not how long it hath truly been. I have no memory of the time that passed when I was still dead, unfortunately just my final moments in my first life and then the beginning of my 2nd life. I've read, and asked many scholars for this answer. Many say 'tis been a couple centuries, some say more." The thought made a pit grow in his stomach. So many years this land laid to waste, not even the current generations knows when it all went wrong. They know nothing but this broken world that they can't fix.

But Radahn's question snapped him out his train of thought. Did he really just say that? He must have hallucinated it. His siblings would truly want nothing do to with his plans, right? Right?

Godwyn looked at his brother, scanning his facial features for any sign of jest or sarcasm.

"Do... Do you really mean that?" His flowerly, proper Queen's English fell. The thought seem almost impossible to him.

Radahn wasn't sure how much time has passed. He was drifting in and out of sleep, whatever the perfumers gave him for the pain must have been very strong.

But his dreams were far from peaceful. He remembered all now - and his memories tormented him. All the pain and loss of dignity, as the rot slowly drove him mad, until there was nothing left but a feral beast that attacked anything that came near.

And those dreams were the better ones.

The true dread came whenever he dreamt of Miquella. Trapped in a body that wasn't his, helpless under his god-husband's charm. He was a weapon, a trophy, a prized possession. Miquella, after abandoning his love and much of himself, was cold, serene, unfeeling. Not the kind-hearted little brother Radahn once cherished. He spoke of compassion and love, and his words rang empty. How could a god like him create a better world?

But Radahn couldn't even voice his doubts, couldn't reason with him. He could only obey, and fight whoever dared challenge Miquella.

Deep down, he knew this wasn't real. What he saw were glimpses of a future that never came to be.

None could stand before their combined might. They would be slain, or they would be charmed to forever adore their new god.

When he finally awoke from his nightmares, his wounds were almost completely healed, but he was exhausted, as if he fought endless battles.

He vowed not to sleep again. He refused the perfumers' draughts, claiming he was feeling much better.

Yet, he could feel the presence from his dreams, still lingering. Whispering to him. Lord Brother... I will always be with you.

Was he losing his mind again?

No, no... he just needed someone to talk to. That would bring him back to reality and silence Miquella's voice.

He asked the knights if Godwyn was doing better, and if he could go visit him.

i've been seeing so many godwyn/messmer things and AA it's so nice THE BROTHERS EVER, i love seeing people's takes on messmers relationships with his siblings pre-land of shadow

i personally think he had really difficult relationships with them, that he erred on the side of caution in his interactions thinking negatively due to the abyssal serpent pre+post sealing

malenia having her own curse with the scarlet rot gave her an understanding and i like to think messmer was slightly more comfortable with her (miquella being part of that too since i see malenia and miquella being pretty inseparable as children, out of her dependence and just their closeness) miquella definitely would've been the one just along for the ride lmao — as for melina .. idk i don't really like melina?? hot take? lol

BUT GODWYN?? FIRSTBORN STRUGGLES DUO ISTG (even though the omen twins are older, they had their whole.. casting away thing 💀 and marika didn't really refer to them, i actually really do like the omens though!!!)
